SPRING / FALL VISA EXPERIENCES ( NO DISCUSSION )

Tips:
Be clear and confident in your answers! The officer values your clarity and confidence.
Have a solid understanding of your future goals and how your chosen field aligns with them.
Stay calm and positive. Try to give hand gestures—it reflects confidence. Most people were laying their hands on the table and looked nervous. Get some space and talk confidently. Mirror practice is the best way to master it.
Don’t memorize answers. Make a clear picture in your mind of what to say using bullet points.
I feel like visa approval rate is quiet improving now due to fall intake.
I think the interview is not just about your answers, but also your presentation and the way you interact—try to make it conversational.
Telegram groups helped me a lot.
Thank you so much everyone for your guidance and support!

Let your energy speak 📢, your confidence glow 🌟, and your dreams soar 🕊—green slip? Already YOURS! 💚💼 Best of luck everyone! 🎉

Status:- APPROVED✅✅
Attempt:- 1st
Interview date:- 3 April, 2025
Interview Time:- 1:30 pm
Consulate:- Kathmandu
University:- Lousiana Tech University
Scholarship:-
Visa Officer:- Lady vo❤️

Embassy pugnu aaghi I was very much confident. But, after entering embassy, I was little nervous because of the environment inside it. Ani after completing my biometrics, a lady directed me to join the interview line. Then I was sent to Counter number 8, where Lady VO was interviewing a guy. She rejected that guy but I became more confident . Ani Har Har Mahadev bhanera I went for my interview.

Interview duration was around 40 to 50 second and it went like this.

Me:- With a full confident ,louder voice , hand gesture with a big big smile in face.
Namaste Good afternoon officer

VO:- She also gave a beautiful smile and replied me Good afternoon boy.

Me:- I passed my documents before she asked for it.

VO:- Why USA for computer Science.

Me:- Well officer Nepal has got huge potential for harnessing wind energy due to its landscape and mountainous terrain. However only a small portion of its potential has been utilized so far
She interrupted…

VO:- (Giving me a smiling look) Why this university?

Me:- Actually I have a few reasons for selecting Lousiana Tech University officer

Firstly the on going research conducted by Dr. Hadi Salehi on developing an energy - lean monitoring system using machine learning directly matches my research interest.

Secondly, I was really impressed with the well-Structured course curriculum oftered in computer
Science, including courses like Advanced Data Structures and Algorithms, Intelligent Systems and Artificial Intelligence, which are highly relevant to my career intenests.

Thirdly, LA tech, she again interrupted

VO:- Boy tell me about your sponsor

Me:-
Officer, First of all I have secured a scholarship worth of $11,049 , which will cover a significant portion of my expenses. I am proud to say that, the remaining cost will be fully supported by my parents.

My father is a retired police officer and a successful businessman in the real estate sector. He works as a business partner at *** housing pvt ltd where he earn around approximately , $40000 annually
My mother is a housewife and she oversees the rental from two of properties collecting 8000$ annually

Additionally my parents, she interrupted
(Hands me the green slip) saying you are awesome boy

Me:- (lastai khusi hudai) Thank you thank you so much officer.

Tips:- Dar lagnu swobabik ho tara dar lage pani answer bhanda chai jati sakinxa teti confidence dekhaunu. Then everything will go well.
Because of fullllll confidence she didn’t look anything in my ds as well as transcript She just looked into my eyes for entire interview with a smile and I also made eye contact the entire time with a big big smileeee.

Visa Rate was too low, I nearly saw interview of more than 30 applicants but only one family got the visa.
I did mention about my brother in ds. He is currently in US which I thought was red flag but she didn’t looked at my DS160 so she didn’t ask me anything related to him.
Har Har Mahadev❤️
Peace❤️

knowledge about advanced techniques like building information modeling ,high performance concrete and tools that includes geotechnical drilling rigs,
ultrasonic pulse testers which are really crucial in the field.

VO: Why don't you go for structural or other engineering

SPRING / FALL VISA EXPERIENCES ( NO DISCUSSION )

Status: APPROVED🍀
University: Wright State University
Major: Biological Science
GPA: 3.54
EPT: 7
Date: April 3, 2025
Time: 2:45 PM (but by the time I reached the window, it was around 4 something)
VO: Tall, wore glasses
Passout: 2024

Me: Good afternoon, officer! (with a big smile)
VO: Good afternoon. How are you?
Me: I'm doing great. What about you, officer?
VO: I'm good too. How did you find out about this university?
Me: Officer, I found out about this university while searching for a research oriented university with a strong STEM (interrupted)
VO: What kind of research did you find?
Me: (lya went blank for a second, then continued) There are many research works, officer. For instance, Dr. Nahila Khalil has conducted research on preventing foodborne illness in airlines by implementing HACCP within airline meal systems.
VO: So through what did it spread? (something like that)
Me: Through prepared meals, officer. (I was a bit skeptical about this answer)
VO: You're going for Biological Science at Wright State University, right?
Me: Yes, officer!
VO: Why Biological Science?
Me: Growing up in Nepal, I’ve seen how poor food safety standards silently threaten public health. It’s an issue many overlook, but incidents like the Wai Wai controversy, insect larvae and algae found in bottled water, and more recently, microplastics found in water jars, prove how unregulated food and water quality can put lives at risk.
My dream is to change that by becoming a food inspector. Studying Biological Science will help me analyze food at a molecular level, detect contaminants, and develop better quality measures. ( yo answer vanda chai he was really looking straight into my soul continuously ani mani k kam vandai I delivered it confidently with hand gestures and full on facial expressions.)
VO: Do you know about any research besides that food thing ?
Me: Yes, officer. Dr. Paliy's research. He is investigating the role of intestinal microbes in human health and disease. (There was about 4,5 seconds of silence, so I broke it myself.)
Me: Officer, can I tell you a fun fact?
VO: Sure.
Me: Do you know the meaning of Namaste, officer? (I know this isn’t related to my major and all but I just wanted to break the silence.)
VO: NoOoOoo
Me: It means “The light within me bows to the light within you.” Isn’t it amazing how such a small word holds such a deep meaning? (Said it with a smile)
VO: Ohhh. I’ve never heard of that.
VO: Who are your sponsors?
Me: My parents are my sponsors, officer. Would you like me to elaborate?
VO: Sure, go ahead.
Me: My father is a government officer and he also owns a homestay (interrupted)
VO: What are his duties?
Me: He writes letters to higher officials (interrupted again)
VO: We also write letters. (smiling)
Me: (smiling back) He also writes letters, but more than that, he gives instructions and explains development plans to villagers. (Honestly, I was kinda improvising this answer)
VO: What about your mother?
Me: My mother owns a poultry farm. We have more than 5,000 chickens, and she generates around 20 to 22k during peak season.
VO: (A bit surprised) 5,000 chickens???
Me: YESS, officer! Should I mention their types as well?
VO: No need. Do you have any siblings?
Me: Yes, officer. I have one elder brother, and he works as a manager at Raffles Hotel.
VO: Ohh okay. I’m approving your visa. Study well.

Interview day

Interview ko din chai woke up early prepared the qn i mean revised had breakfast then went to consulate reached there on time. Had to wait for longer maybe 1-1.5 hour . Entered first building i knew that interview was going to be on different building but maybe due to stress i was worried and thought there will be interview as soon as i will enter first building but that didn't happen. Vitra gayesi had to open my shoes, belt, empty my pocket for checking. after checking went to second building but got relieved as my interview was over. Second building vitra gayesi saw people continuously being rejected got bit nervous. I was assigned counter no 18. VO rejected 3 person Infront of me. Me: good morning officer.
VO: Pass me your passport and i20.(Maybe he replied good morning also but exactly yad vayena)

(VO looked me entirely from top to bottom)

Me: I am going to Texas.
VO: To Texas state University?
Me: Yes, Texas state university
VO: Why computer science? (I was expecting the qn & was hoping him to ask that qn)
Me: Officer you won't believe me but there is a funny as well as interesting story of mine (Vo stops typing and started listening carefully)one day when i was having rest a thought came to my mind god created human being. I starting thinking and questioning myself can i become god? I knew that its not possible for me to become god with supernatural power but if i could create an ai or human like machine than will i be god to that ai or machine and this thought encouraged me to peruse my bachelor's in Computer science.
VO: Why Texas state university?
Me: I applied to 3 universities Texas state university, x university and y university . I got accepted from all the university but i got good scholarship from Texas state university. Actually the scholarship amount was _ USD but having scholarship more than 1000 USD made me eligible for in state-tuition fee. (i dont exjactly remember but maybe i said the climate of texas is similar to that of nepal)
VO: Is the climatic condition of texas same as nepal? (Officer intentions were like no its not had a bit debate but don't exactly remember the exchanges)I concluded with

VO: Are they your sole investors?
Me: Yes some part of my tution is going to be covered by scholarship and rest will be funded by my parents.
(Had couple of more exchanged but yad aayena ahile)
(VO was continously looking looking to me throughout the conversation and continued looking me for about a minute )
VO: Place your palm in the scanner
(I placed my palm officer typed something in silence )
VO: Congratulations Your Visa is approved. (returned my i20)
(I was thinking that i will get green slip but didn't get one )

SPRING / FALL VISA EXPERIENCES ( NO DISCUSSION )

Status: Approved 🍀💚
Attempt: First
Date: April 3, 2024 (Young American VO)
University: Texas State University
Program: Bachelor's in Computer Science
Interview Time: 9:00 AM (Got it at 11:00 AM)
Passout Year: 2024
(Hasda hasdai interview sakiyo 😄)

Me: Hello, good morning officer, how are you doing? 😊
VO: I'm fine, thank you. How about you?
Me: I’m also fine, officer. Thank you for asking. 🙏
VO: Give me your documents
Me: [Handed over documents]
VO: [Looking at my I-20] Nice to meet you.
Me: Nice to meet you too, officer.

VO: Why Computer Science?
Me: I want to study Computer Science to develop my expertise in software engineering, machine learning, and data analytics. These are the key skills I need to become a skilled software developer and, eventually, launch my own software solution company. My foundation in computer science started in high school, and later I also completed a three-month Python training to sharpen my programming skills. 💻🤖

VO: Tell me about your career goals.
Me: My goal is to establish a software solutions company focusing on AI-driven solutions for the manufacturing industry. I aim to use business intelligence, process automation, and data analytics to improve business productivity and efficiency. 📊⚙️

VO: Could you tell me more about it?
The officer was speaking in a lower pitch, and I was a bit confused. I politely said, "Sorry, officer," and he smiled and repeated the question.
Me: I want to integrate AI-driven solutions into the manufacturing business, using robotic arms, IoT sensors, and AI-powered software. Officer, I particularly want to focus on this field because Nepal has a high dependency on foreign IT solutions, with over 80% of software and services being imported. According to a report by Republica, Nepal imports IT services worth over 3.25 billion Nepalese rupees in just 6 months of this fiscal year which is a wooping amount. I want to reduce these huge dependencies by improving digital infrastructure and fixing inefficiencies in service systems. 💡📈
(Spoke with full confidence and made eye contact)
VO was impressed...

VO: Are you an expert in Python?
I laughed and said, “No, officer,” and he smiled too.
Me: I am not an expert in Python yet, but I am building foundational skills by exploring powerful libraries like NumPy, Matplotlib, and Pandas for data manipulation, visualization, and numerical computation. 🐍📊

VO: You have pretty good scores in high school. What was your favorite subject?
Me: My favorite subject was Computer Science.

VO: What do you like about Computer Science?
Me: I love programming, especially in Python. I also completed a 3-month Python training course to sharpen my skills.

VO: After your graduation from high school?
Me: Yes, officer, I completed it recently.

VO: Have you done the SAT?
Me: Yes, officer, I have taken the SAT and scored 1340. 🎯

VO: Well, you have got a full tuition scholarship, right?
Me: Yes, officer, I received a $12,000 scholarship that fully covers my tuition fees and some academic expenses. 🎓💵

VO: What will you do besides academics at the university?
I initially thought the officer was asking about academic clubs, so I started talking about clubs, but he interrupted and clarified…
VO: Besides academics. (He smiled again, and I smiled back)
Me: Officer, I love playing badminton and table tennis 🏸🏓, so I would enjoy participating in those activities while studying.

VO: Tell me about your sponsor.
Me: [Gave details about my sponsor]

VO: Congratulations! 🎉
I was momentarily blank 😳, but then the officer started typing…
VO: Based on your qualifications, I am approving your visa. 🟢✈️
He turned around and handed me the green slip!

Me: Thank you so much, officer! Have a nice day. 🙏🌟

SPRING / FALL VISA EXPERIENCES ( NO DISCUSSION )

Time : 9:45
Gpa : 3.7/3.81/3.56
University: Texas state university
Scholarship: 12k
Date: 21 march
Course: business finance
Passout: 2022

Here is my experience, I reached the embassy at 9:00 am.
The interview goes like this:
Me: Good morning, Officer. How are you? [With a smile]

Officer: [Ignored me for 5–10 seconds, he was doing something] Oh sorry, I am fine. How are you?

Me: I am also fine.

Officer: So, Saru, right? You are going for finance? Why?

Me: Yes, Officer, I am going for a Finance major. I chose this course because I studied Finance and Accounting in my previous academics and gained practical experience in the same field during my internship.
For the next career phase, I am more interested in gaining knowledge about finance and its various course modules, which include Financial Analysis, Risk Management, Business Law & Ethics, and many more. After completing this course, I will be able to conduct audits, evaluate financial risks, and guide businesses in making better decisions. I will require these skills to achieve my future professional goal, which is to open my Financial Planning & Advisory Firm. Officer, I will receive guidance from top professors like Dr. Janet, who specializes in financial planning and analysis.
Officer: Interesting. So, you have a gap of many years. Why do you want to go now?

Me: Officer, after completing high school, I was unsure which course to pursue for my Bachelor's, so I wanted to gain some practical experience. I joined an audit firm named XYZ and worked there as an audit associate. During this time, I gained valuable skills, which boosted my confidence and developed leadership qualities in me. From this experience, I was sure that this field is the right course for me. Officer, I was also involved in conducting financial audits of some companies like XYZ and ABC. Now, I am ready to pursue further education and excel in it.
Officer: So, you have worked for two years?

Me: Yes, Officer.

Officer: You have mentioned that you are a baking student?

Me: Officer, I really love to bake and cook different dishes. It’s my hobby. While preparing for my interview, there was some time left, so I felt I should invest my time and make it more productive, so I joined baking classes.

Officer: Why the USA?

Me: Officer, I was highly inspired by a top Nepalese icon, Anil Keshary Shah, who is a top financial leader and was a former CEO of Nabil Bank and Mega Bank. He also studied in the United States and came back to significantly impact Nepal’s business and economic sectors. His success inspires me, and I believe the USA is the ideal place to achieve my academic and career ambitions.

He seemed to be really interested and listened to all my answers without interrupting.
Tips:
I felt that if you can answer and speak with confidence, you can get the green slip. There were many students who were deserving, but due to their low confidence, they were rejected.

So please, don’t take it as a joke or say, "Try garchhu, lage lagchha, natra lagdena." Try it with full preparation. Baru answer haru rata tara bolna chai bolnu officer ko aagadi.

Me: good morning officer and happy world party day
VO: Ok, so today is world party day? (With gentle smile and a glance)
Me: Yes, officer. So, did you attend party or plan to party tonight?
VO: OK (He just smiled and said Ok, good).

He then viewed my transcript and seems impressed but didn't ask any question. Then he viewed my i20 saying:
VO: Whyy computer engineering?
ME: well officer after my high school, i developed ride sharing app 'Tuk Tuk Sawari',all by myself, for the people of my district Chitwan as i saw serious transport issue. During my grade 10, i was selected in national level young scientist summit conducted by Robotics Association of Nepal, and was further selected to go for an international confrence in Malasiya but couldnot go due to pandemic. I had build dozens of websites, mobile and desktop application including Income/Expense Management, Library management system, School mamagement system, Recipe finder and etc. So, officer the more i get involved into this field the more i realize i had more to learn, still. There are horizons of information that i need to learn to be profuctive and efficient.
( He seems impressed, smiled  and then looked at me and then the screen. I think he was reading my text i wrote in my ds)
VO: Who are your sponser and what do they do ?
Me: (shortcut ma lekhe) Parents sponsor. Father is university professor and part timer author. He writes 14 to 15 cirriculam books per year. Father generates 16k from author and 14k from teaching profession. Mother teacher 10k, old house of 6 rooms rent and rental inc is 4.5k.
(He kept his hand over green slip and says congrats i am approving your visa.)

VO just asked me 2 qns why major and sponsor. I swear his eyes were telling me "Who are you dude, done so much ?"

TIPS:
1. Flex gara if you have something like national, international, have built some projects, and etc. Unuharule farak dhanga le herxa testo manxelai rw definately they can have minimal reasons to reject you.
2. Fluency maintain gara, (i was fluent rw testo fluency jindagi kailei english ma boleko thina but idk tyo bela i was being over fluent with some natural pause as well which sounds natural)
3. Int hunu vanda 3 din aagadi dekhi water ko intake ekdam high gara, kaile kai boldei garda pet polxa hence heart beat xito hunxa, so to reduce unwanted pet polne wa heart beat badhne water intake maximum huna parxa.
4. Dont forget they are also human not machine, so try to be frank or smile or at least don't be afraid else you are dead
5. Research about what special is it on your IV date ? Like mine was world party day, note it and greet them saying happy bla bla day officer
6. Maje unique answer aafnopan dekhine khale rw essay lekhda taankaune tarikale lekheko ans navana. Strictly prohibited ho tyo chai

If u are afraid, if you dont have good flexing thing or excellent result and excellent presentation then you would definately say luck is important but it is crucial to say confidently by gentle smile.

Bahira aaye aani baba was like ma opposite ma thiye rw daudera hug garnu vayo sable clap garya the tyo chai yaad xa. VISA tw lageko ho duniya jiteko tw thina but still 😆

Aani aaarko kura aaja i think i was the only 1 candidate to wear windsweater rw casual formal dekhine pant. I had coat pant but decided not to wear since ma aafei tesma uncomfort hunxu rw slightly ma aaru vanda unique vayera nihoki lagauna man lagena coat. So, dude dont waste money to buy new coat. Just wear windsweater or any jacket.

(No mock interview taken which was a big mistake of mine but thank god i was lucky, but i will recommend everyone to give a mock interview )
( I was talking a lot with each and every one in front of the embassy which calmed my nervousness)

Vo: counter no 10( looked like nepali to me but he must be indian vo)

I was there in the interview room for almost an hour i just saw 3-4 got the visa. Even the one speaking too well was rejected. I consider myself extremely lucky. Looking at the rejection rate I was already prepared to get rejected honestly speaking.

Here goes my interview

(I was extremely nervous but I felt I was sounding confident.)

Me: Good morning officer, How are you doing officer ?
Vo: Good morning, I am doing well boy
Vo: What is your name?
Me: I am ................
Vo: What course are you going for ?
Me: I am going for computer science with specialization in ai and ml
Vo: Why do you like AI?
Me: What i like about ai is the impact that ai has in each and every field. The computer which got popular only in the late 1900s. Has become so advanced and I can only imagine the potential of it in the next 20 years. SO, I want to contribute to its advancement.
Vo: Who is your sponsor ?
Me: .......
Vo: Okay, I am approving your visa .
Me: Thank you

( He didn't give me my passport and i went back to ask him when i asked for a passport i realized i was supposed to take it from NIMB bank. I was so embarrassed. 😂😂)

Tips:

1.Luck is most important. Even the one speaking 10x better than me got rejected so I am extremely lucky.

2. First impression is very important.

3. more than being confident. You must sound confident. Even if you are nervous as hell, don't bring nervousness in your voice.
