How To Take Gita Medicine!

If we want to take a particular medicine, then we have to follow the particular direction mentioned on the label of the medicine. Similarly, the Bhagavad-gita also should be taken or accepted as it is directed by the speaker Himself. The speaker of the Bhagavad-gita is Lord Sri Krsna.

Deities of Radharani do not have Vaisnava tilaka painted on them because traditionally women did not wear any tilaka except kumkum (the red dot in the center of the forehead worn by married women, which is also called tilaka).

CC Madhya 8.176 states:

Saubhagya-tilaka caru-lalaṭe ujjvala
"The tilaka of good fortune is on Her (Radha's) beautiful broad forehead."

Saubhagya-tilaka refers to the kumkum mark worn by a married (saubhagyavati i.e. fortunate) woman.

God's another name is ajita. A means "not," and jita means "conquered." Nobody can conquer God. That is God. God is never conquered by anyone. He conquers everyone. God is conquered by His devotee, not by the demons. The demons are conquered by God. But devotee can conquer. Ajito 'pi, jito 'pi. Although God is ajita, He becomes jita, means conquered, by His devotee.

The unhulled rice and the empty husks of rice look very much the same. One who knows how to get the grain out of the unhulled rice is wise, but one who beats on the empty husk, thinking to get some result, is simply wasting his labor uselessly. Similarly, if one studies the Vedas without finding the goal of the Vedas, Krsna, he simply wastes his valuable time.

Instead of contemplating what will happen to this world, you have got a short duration of life, say fifty, sixty years. You chant Hare Kṛṣṇa and go back to home, back to Godhead. Don't consider what will happen to this world. The nature will take care of it. You don't puzzle your brain with these thoughts. You utilize whatever time you have got in your possession and go back to home, back to Godhead. You cannot check it. Because people will go on with their rascal civilization, natural consequences will be there. There are many important Vaisnava pilgrimage sites spread all over India. The propensity for travel and tourism is properly utilized by visiting such holy places. However, the scriptures advise us that the main benefit to be derived from such pilgrimages is to associate with and hear from saintly persons residing in the holy places. Unfortunately, in the modern age, the importance of pilgrimage sites as places of spiritual instruction has been almost forgotten. Gaudiya Vaisnavas know Mayapura and Vrindavan (which from the external viewpoint appear to situated close to Calcutta and Delhi, respectively) as the two most important places in the whole universe, as they are the places of appearance and pastimes of Lord Caitanya and Lord Krsna.

Parvati is perpetually asking her husband about spiritual matters, everything, and the husband is replying. That is the duty of husband, and that is also the duty of wife. Wife should get enlightenment from the husband, and she should give service. The husband is well situated; she is not discomforted, always looking to the comfort of the husband. And it is the duty of the husband to enlighten the wife always. Therefore husband is accepted as guru, pati-guru. In India, when a woman speaks of her husband, she says pati-guru, “my husband-master,”pati-guru. And it is not the system, Vedic system, to call the husband by name, as in the Western country the husband is called by his name. No. Out of respect, the wife does not call the husband by his real name.
