🔹The parliamentary elections in Syria are scheduled to be held in about a month and a half, an election in which there will be no presence of people at the ballot boxes.
🔹The Supreme Committee for the People's Assembly Elections in Syria announced on Sunday evening that the first parliamentary elections in the new government will likely be held between September 15 and 20.
🔹Out of 210 seats, 140 representatives will be selected by local committees; it has been stated that the members of these committees will consist of experts and community figures. According to the Supreme Parliamentary Elections Committee of Syria, 14 subcommittees, one for each province, will be formed.
🔹The remaining 70 representatives will be directly appointed by Mohammed Al Jolani as "President." This means that no seat will be elected through direct public voting
🔹Previously, during Bashar al-Assad's era, all 250 members of parliament were elected by direct public vote.
