Titan Company: Titan Company has reported decent 4QFY24 business update with standalone business revenues have grown 17% YoY. While the key jewellery business has maintained a steady growth momentum, the watches and eyecare business has lagged, leading to a marginally lower-than-expected growth, on an overall basis. Titan continues to gain market share in its major jewellery business. Strong new buyer addition and healthy network expansion are helping to maintain the strong performance. Jewellery hallmarking, which is being implemented pan-India, in a phased manner, requires certification of purity, which is leading to a shrinkage of price gap between organised and unorganised players. Apart from the domestic market, Titan is also ramping up the jewellery business in international markets, such as the US and the Gulf region. Titan’s strong brand recall among the Indian diaspora augurs well for its overseas plans. The jewellery business reported a strong 19% YoY growth in Q4FY24. The standalone business reported ~18% growth, while subsidiary Carat Lane posted a relatively higher growth of about 30%. The jewellery business continued to witness a healthy network expansion. The business opened 29 new stores in Q4FY24, reaching an overall count of 665. Positive on Titan Company given the strong growth in key jewellery and emerging categories business.
Hatsun Agro Product Ltd: Hatsun Agro reported strong growth for the 4th Quarter of FY24 as well for the full Financial Year-24 where all their business verticals performed well with their leading brands registering strong sales. Company's retail expansion in the last two years helped us reach customers in new markets like Maharashtra, Orissa, West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh and also supported existing strong bases in South India. EBIDTA for Q4 was Rs. 231.77 Cr up by 46.64% compared to the last year. PAT in for Q4 was at Rs. 52.16 Cr up by 108.76% YoY and for the Financial year it was Rs. 267.29, up by 61.15% YoY. Also, the Procurment of milk FY'24 registered a growth of 20.30%. Positive on Hatsun Agro Products given the strong 4QFY24 growth and also expansion into new markets.

HDFC Bank: HDFC Bank's 4QFY24 performance was in line with the consensus estimates. The big positive in the quarter was the improvement in the CD ratio (credit-to-deposit ratio), thanks to the robust deposit growth and slower loan growth. While margins remained stable and asset quality as pristine as ever, the surprise was the massive creation of floating provisions to the tune of Rs 10,900 crore. In the absence of this voluntary provision, the profit growth would have been much higher in Q4FY24. But the bank chose to strengthen its balance sheet, instead of boosting profits through one-offs. HDFC Bank reported an NIM of 3.4% in Q4FY24, the same as in Q3FY24. Stable margins in Q4FY24 and lower branch additions show that the bank has chosen profitability over growth. HDFC Bank’s asset quality continues to be impeccable and the credit environment in the economy remains benign. The Bank’s GNPA, at 1.24%, has shown an improvement over the previous quarter. Positive on HDFC Bank given the stable 4QFY24 performance.
Bharti Airtel ltd.: Bharti Airtel is set to ride its best financial performance phase in over a decade driven by tariff hike, 2G upgradation, strong growth of enterprise and FTTH, and a fall in capex post the 5G rollout over the next three years. Bharti’s industry-leading current ARPU of Rs 208 is set to increase, driven by a tariff hike contributing, upgradation of 2G customers to 4G, and customer upgradation to a higher data plan and moving to postpaid. Company has guided for a capex of around Rs 750 billion over FY24–26, including the 5G rollout. Bharti’s stronghold in the African market continues and it remains the number 1 or 2 mobile service provider by customer market share in 13 out of the 14 markets it operates in. The company has grown its revenue over the past five years (FY18–23) at a CAGR of 16% while EBITDA has grown at 26% driven by subscribers and ARPU growth and margin expansion. With the Indian telecom market coming of age and the implementation of new technology being almost over, the next few years look very positive for Bharti’s financials. Positive on Bharti Airtel given its consistent financial and business performance over the periods.
