Brigade Enterprises Ltd: Brigade Enterprises Ltd posted solid Q4FY24 results with total revenues rising 42% on a sequential basis and more than doubling from the prior year. The company continued to benefit from the bull run in the Indian residential market which is witnessing higher sales, aiding its performance. Notably, pre-sales volume of approximately 2.72 mn sq. ft. in Q4FY24 (including landowner’s space share of 0.11 mn sq. ft.), climbed 61% in the quarter over Q3FY24 while sales value of INR 22,430 mn in Q4 FY24 (including landowner’s space share of INR 994 mn) recorded an increase of 47%. PAT surged significantly both on QoQ and YoY basis. Brigade has also consistently maintained an EBITDA margin of around 26%-28% for the past eight years. Additionally, new launches and sustaining sales momentum in ongoing project resulted in the highest ever collections of INR 59,15.1 cr during FY24. With medium & large sized office space demand expected to be remain robust as per management, mainly to be dominated by automobile, technology, engineering and manufacturing sectors, growth potential for the company seems promising in FY25. Brigade, which has an active pipeline of 22 mn sq. ft. of ongoing projects and 16mn sq. ft. of upcoming projects, is eyeing capital expenditure of around INR 2,000 cr in FY25-28 as per a Mint article. Positive on Brigade Enterprises given its solid Q4FY24 performance, robust development pipeline and healthy balance sheet position.
EIH Ltd: The hotel industry will be least affected by any shift in policy priorities or a slowdown in capex following the uncertainty related to the government formation. The demand momentum is expected to continue given the increasing preference for travel, rising air traffic & better connectivity as well as revival of foreign tourist arrival. While the demand momentum is strong, supply is expected to lag, leading to a sustained pricing improvement as well as profitability for hotel players over the next few years. With a healthy balance sheet (debt free), EIH has lined up aggressive expansion plans. EIH plans to more than double room inventory by FY2030 and will pursue both ownership and the management contract routes for the planned inventory addition. Apart from new inventory addition, EIH plans to renovate existing properties which will drive growth. After correction nearly 20%, the stock looks compelling on valuation front. Positive on EIH Ltd. given strong tailwind in hotel sector and attractive valuation.

Stock in Action
Emami: Emami reported volume-led revenue growth for Q4FY24, but earnings growth was muted due to higher brand investment. The healthy domestic volume growth of 6.4 percent was backed by demand recovery in key brands like Boroplus due to extended winter, while unfavourable weather impacted Navratna and Dermicool. Non-seasonal categories, like pain management and healthcare, also performed well. However, low discretionary spends and high competitive intensity continued to impact segments like male grooming and Kesh King. Rural growth outpaced urban growth in the GT channel, while modern trade and e-commerce channels saw 17% and 37% growth in revenue, respectively. International business growth was faster than India business as the company further strengthened the portfolio, with new products in the hair care category in select key markets. Emami’s presence in niche personal care categories with low penetration translates into a large headroom for organic growth. The low double-digit revenue growth guidance will be driven by rural recovery, rise in emerging channels, distribution expansion, ongoing strategic investments and the launch of innovative products, as per the management. Given the early signs of rural recovery, key distribution initiatives across channels will continue with better performance in the seasonal as well as non-seasonal portfolio. Positive on Emami given the rural recovery and anticipation of normal monsoon.
Trent: Trent ltd. has posted strong Q4 results in a challenging demand environment. Strong network expansion, same store sales growth, and margin expansion boosted earnings. With a current store presence in 91 and 164 cities for Westside and Zudio, respectively, there is good opportunity for Trent to aggressively build its presence. Trent has been able to scale up the Zudio brand profitably, given industry-leading operating metrics, low returns and product shrinkage, lower discounts, and almost fully owned brand portfolio. Trent is aiming to build a multi-brand portfolio in the fashion space, which presents huge growth prospects. Revenue momentum was strong led by a rapid network expansion as well as strong same store sales growth. In Q4FY24, Trent added 12 Westside and 86 Zudio stores. The like-for-like growth for the fashion concept stores was well above 10% in Q4. Despite a challenging market environment in FY24, Trent aggressively expanded its network. Not only is the company entering new cities, but it is also deepening presence in the existing ones. Trent is also consolidating or upgrading existing stores in order to maintain robust store economics as well as overall brand congruence. In FY24, Trent consolidated 12 Westside and 10 Zudio stores. Positive on Trent given the strong earnings growth over the medium term.
