I heard this song so many times as MMLP2 is probably my favourite Eminem album right now Atleast but I only noticed yesterday the “running into walls…because I had no super vision” is a reference to him not having parents that raised him well so he had no “supervision” as a child opposed to it being about being able to see through walls and I literally stopped walking in the street and physically reacted to it hahaha.

Not sure if this is a hot take - but I think Castle/Arose is the best song Eminem ever wrote.
Just listened for the first time in a long time and it blew me away all over again. I think not only from a content standpoint, but the song structure is incredible. I’ve never seen two songs structured this way where the second one turns back in to the previous song. Truly an amazing song, I think it’s his best work.

Eminem's Relapse is my favourite album! Stay Wide Awake is incredible!
I have been a fan of Eminem for decades! I constantly listen to all his albums, he's been on top of my Spotify Wrapped for years.
Stay Wide Awake is one of my favourites, due to the sheer technical skill and wordplay.
The fact that his last verse has so many rhyming words, yet also has that the narrative is written backwards! The verse starts with the victim’s body being found dead, and ends with her dialling 911 just “before” he breaks into her house with an axe. It’s an outrageous display of skill.
(I did steal that last paragraph from Rap Genius but the fact I just realised this today just shows how incredibly layered his work is)
