50 CENT: Eminem and Ja Rule got high together on Ecstasy before the beef
In the new Breakfast Club interview, 50 Cent once again talked about the beef with Ja Rule.
Now, as an Eminem fan, I heard something that I didnt know:
50 cent claims that Eminem did NOT want to beef with Ja Rule, since "they had gotten high together and connected or something".
I know that Em was a massive ecstasy-head, and that Ja Rule was a massive ecstasy-head, and since I was a massive ecstasy head myself, I know that it is THE drug that will make you puke your feelings out and connect with random strangers on some introspective ish. So, them 2 got high and talked about their feelings with their jaws clenched (just imagine the party). Therefore, Em had no interest in dissing him... BUT THEN JA RULE DISSED HIM. AND HAILLIE.
"Em, you claim your mom's a crack head and kim is a known slut,
so what Hailies gonna be when she grows up?" - Ja Rule, loose change
Now... these are things that Em talked about openly in his music, but I am pretty sure that he would have talked more openly with these things whilst high as fuck... with his trip-mate, Ja Rule. (this feels surreal to write)
When Em heard the song, he was extremely mad. We all know what ensued, and it was the destruction of Ja.
But I wanna point out some lyrics that now stand out for me:
"You aint no mf bully, you must be taking too much E" -eminem, bully
"if Irv really gave a fuck about Ja, like he claims he does
He'd wake him up and make his boy get off them drugs
But he just keeps feedin' him pills, so if that E doesn't kill him
Someone from G-Unit will, and I ain't buzzed" -eminem, bully
As a former drug addict, this is a form of projection amongst us. We will claim that somebody is "using too much", while we are abusing the same drug. It's a common form of projection. Still, Em murdered him.
"Me and Haillie danced to your songs, we like you" eminem- bump heads.
This last line hits harder now since I believe that it was not ironic. Em thought Ja was a nice guy. Fuck Ja for life.
