Shaykh 'Abd al-Mushin al-'Abbad - may Allah preserve and protect him - was asked in his home: Is an individual able to memorize the Qur'an after reaching the age of fifty?
He replied: Yes, and I am from those who memorized the Qur'an after the age of fifty! There were Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) who Islam reached them when they were older; despite that they memorized.
