Mawlana Abdol Hamid's Reaction to the Fall of Bashar al-Assad's Regime in Syria
🌏The Syrian people and the Levant have achieved their long-standing aspiration
Shaikh ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol Hamid, referring to the fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime, described this event as one of the "long-standing aspirations and demands of the Syrian people." He expressed joy, stating, "We are happy for the joy of the Syrian people" and hoped that with the change in circumstances in the country, the Syrian people would achieve "peace and comfort."
According to the official website of the Office of the Sunni Friday Prayer Leader of Zahedan, Mawlana Abdol Hamid, in part of his remarks during the weekly meeting of Darul Uloom of Zahedan’s instructors today, Sunday (December 8, 2024), said: "The Syrian people and the Levant have achieved one of their long-standing aspirations and demands, for which they have endured hundreds of thousands of deaths and casualties. Today, the people of the Levant celebrate a day without a dictator in their land, and they are happy. We share in their joy."
He continued: "Syrians inside and outside the country, as well as all the free people of the world, are happy that the regime of one of the greatest dictators in the Middle East has fallen. The Syrian dictator denied the people their rights, ignored their legitimate demands, and refused to address them, despite the fairness of their demands and their desire to have a say in their own destiny."
The Friday Prayer Leader of Zahedan stated: "The events in Syria are a source of joy for all those facing challenges worldwide, as they showcase the power of Allah, who responds to those who are rightfully entitled in their time of need."
He emphasized: "We hope the world learns lessons from these events. These incidents serve as a lesson for those with intellect and understanding, but those filled with arrogance and pride will not learn from them."
🔹We hope this movement becomes a 'source of mercy' for the Syrian nation and other nations / Victorious revolutionaries must adopt 'tolerance,' 'foresight,' and 'gradual reform'
Mawlana Abdol Hamid further noted: "The tolerance announced by the Syrian revolutionaries today is a cause for happiness. We hope the Syrian people, especially those who led and succeeded in the revolution, follow the right and humane path, becoming a source of mercy for the Syrian nation and other nations, and that the Syrian people achieve peace and comfort."
He added: "We also hope those opposed to this revolution and freedom in Syria realize that this freedom benefits them, as 'narrow-mindedness' first harms religion and Islam, and then damages those who are trapped by it. Movements in the name of 'Islam' must demonstrate tolerance, foresight, and patience to avoid tarnishing the reputation of Islam. The process of reform in Syria should also proceed 'gradually' and through 'encouragement,' avoiding pressure on the people."
The Director of Darul Uloom of Zahedan stated: "The Levant is one of the world's historic regions, with unique distinctions and a history of great figures and academic centers. Therefore, efforts in this region should align with the heritage of these great personalities and righteous individuals, demonstrating the vast capacity of its people."
🔹'Unofficial and unlawful sanctions' against Darul Uloom continue / If the people are informed, they will compensate for the shortages
In another part of his remarks, Mawlana Abdol Hamid referred to certain pressures on Darul Uloom of Zahedan, including "financial pressures" and the "cutoff of oil and flour quotas." He said: "Unfortunately, a series of unofficial and unlawful sanctions aimed at pressuring the Darul Uloom of Zahedan institution still exist."
🔹 "Discrimination" Has No Place in Islam; Justice and Equity Are Fundamental
Referring to the "diversity of ethnicities and languages in Iran," Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol Hamid remarked:
"The ethnic diversity of Islamic Iran, with its multitude of ethnicities and languages, is a source of beauty. This diversity is akin to a garden adorned with various colorful and fragrant flowers, collectively creating a magnificent and harmonious scene. These ethnicities and languages together constitute the fabric of Iran, where Allah has deemed them equal in rights. Although the Constitution has attempted to enshrine some equality, it is imperative that the rights of all are upheld uniformly. Discrimination and inequality are alien to Islam, which is inherently a religion of justice. There can be no Islam without justice and fairness."
He concluded:
"The Iranian nation is a united entity, standing in solidarity to advocate for the legitimate rights of women, ethnicities, and deserving individuals. It is essential that justice prevails, even among the capable and deserving."
🔹 Scholars and Officials Must Be "People-Oriented" to Achieve "Endurance"
Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol Hamid advised all officials, scholars, community leaders, elders, and diverse social groups across Iran to lead people-centered lives. He remarked:
"If you stand with the people and care for their well-being, Allah will support you and never abandon you. Any individual or effort aligned with the interests of the people will endure. History has shown us the fate of scholars who distanced themselves from the public."
He continued:
"‘Allah’ and ‘the people’ are the two fundamental axes; seek Allah’s approval and mercy through serving the people. Allah commanded His Prophet to be close to the weaker sections of society:
'And keep yourself patient [by being] with those who call upon their Lord in the morning and the evening, seeking His countenance. And let not your eyes pass beyond them...' [Al-Kahf: 28]. Therefore, it is the responsibility of scholars to associate with the weak, the poor, the oppressed, the broken-hearted, and those whose rights have been violated, so that they may receive Allah’s mercy. Scholars and rulers must refrain from chasing worldly adornments and instead live modestly, following the example of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)."
🔹 Officials Should Strive for Public Welfare and Pay Attention to the Demands of All, Especially Women
The Friday prayer leader of Zahedan further advised:
"We urge officials to adopt a people-oriented approach, care for the public, strive for their welfare, and prioritize their comfort. No scholar, elder, ruler, or official should cause the oppressed to cry out in anguish, for there is no barrier between the cry of the oppressed and Allah, and such cries can consume and destroy everything."
He stressed:
"Scholars, officials, and all those holding positions of responsibility in society must value all ethnicities and social groups, ensuring that no individual’s rights are violated. Special attention must be paid to the needs of all, particularly those of women."
🔹 Matters Aligned with Religion and Presented with Kindness Will Be Accepted by the Public
Mawlana Abdol Hamid remarked:
"The women of our society accept what is ordained by the Quran, Hadith, and religion—not the independent interpretations or rules made by some who draft laws overnight and impose hefty fines. Issues must be addressed with kindness, wisdom, and public consideration."
He added:
"If you, as officials, practice people-oriented governance, the public will accept whatever is consistent with the Quran, Sunnah, and the practices of the Prophet, his companions, and the Ahl al-Bayt, provided these matters are conveyed with kindness."
Mawlana Abdol Hamid at the 50th Convocation of Ain-ul-Uloom Gosht, Saravan:
🕌 "Ethnic and linguistic diversity" has beautified Iran; the rights of all must be equally respected
Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol Hamid on Friday (December 6, 2024), at the 50th convocation of Ain-ul-Uloom Seminary in Gosht, Saravan, described “ethnic and linguistic diversity” as one of Iran’s beauties and emphasized the necessity of “equal rights” for all ethnicities and sects in the country.
The Ain-ul-Uloom Gosht convocation is an eagerly anticipated event; this ceremony aims to "honor the status of knowledge."
According to the information center of the Sunni Friday Prayer Leader of Zahedan, Mawlana Abdol Hamid expressed delight at the widespread participation of scholars and various segments of the public in the graduation ceremony of Ain-ul-Uloom Seminary, which coincided with the Friday prayer in Gosht. He stated:
"I am very pleased to participate in this blessed Friday event dedicated to honoring the Quran, the Sunnah, and knowledge. This luminous gathering is graced by distinguished scholars and esteemed guests from various provinces and regions across the country, including Mawlana Mohammad Hossein Gorgij and other scholars from Golestan Province, Kak Hassan Amini and scholars from Kurdistan, Mawlana Seyyed Mohammad Fazeli Movahed and scholars from Khorasan Province, and Sheikh Ebrahim Esmaeili from Hormozgan Province."
He also expressed gratitude to the administration and teachers of Ain-ul-Uloom Seminary in Gosht, as well as everyone involved in organizing the event and hosting the guests, and offered prayers for their well-being.
The Friday Prayer Leader of Zahedan highlighted the importance of holding religious and academic gatherings, stating:
"Organizing such events and gatherings is highly beneficial for the public and contributes to the advancement of religious and academic culture in society. Today, our community needs both religious and university-based education."
🔹 In today’s Islamic Iran, women are experiencing an unprecedented awakening
🔸 "Demanding one’s rights" is a sign of a nation’s vitality
Mawlana Abdol Hamid further stated:
"I would like to extend my appreciation to all the dear people who have traveled from near and far to attend this event, especially to the honorable women. According to the organizers, women’s presence at this event exceeds that of men, and I express my special thanks to them. This signifies the awakening of women in our society."
He remarked:
"Today, in Islamic Iran, women are experiencing an unprecedented awakening, actively pursuing education and striving to secure their rightful demands. Demanding one’s rights is not a cause for concern; rather, it reflects the vitality and liveliness of a nation."
The Salvation of Humanity Lies in "Complete Adherence to Islam"
A Religion That Neglects the Rights of People Cannot Be a Source of Salvation.
In his address at the 50th convocation ceremony of the Ain-ul-Uloom Seminary in Gosht, Saravan, Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol Hamid, citing the Quranic verse "O you who have believed, enter into Islam completely [and perfectly] and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy" [Al-Baqarah: 208], emphasized the imperative of "complete adherence to Islam" and stated:
"The prosperity and salvation of this world and the hereafter for humanity lies in embracing Islam, which is the greatest, most complete, and final divine religion."
He elaborated:
🔹 Welcoming the Provincial Council's Resolution to Dismantle Checkpoints; Such Actions Foster "Unity" and "Security"
🔸 Security is the Foundation of Development
In another part of his speech, Mawlana Abdol Hamid welcomed the dismantling of many checkpoints in Zahedan and other parts of the province, stating:
We welcome the removal of checkpoints that existed around the cities of the province, especially Zahedan, which have now been dismantled. The new governor of Sistan and Baluchistan and the Provincial Security Council have made efforts in this regard.
He added:
I am confident that harshness and pressure cannot achieve unity or establish security. However, the Provincial Security Council’s initiative to remove checkpoints will contribute positively to "unity" and "security." Unity and security are interconnected, each influencing the other. We, too, emphasize and recommend maintaining the security of the province and the country. Security is the foundation of any development, and the development and progress of the province are only possible in the shadow of security.
🔹 A “Popular Movement” for Establishing Security Has Begun in the Province
Zahedan’s Friday Prayer Leader stated:
We have some concerns about the security forces. Before the President's visit to the province, there were pressures around the seminary and mosque, which were lifted after his visit but have now resumed. Our recommendation is that these pressures will not yield results. If you seek security, follow the same approach taken by the Provincial Security Council in removing checkpoints.
He emphasized:
We all must take steps towards fostering closeness and ensuring security in the current situation. A popular movement for establishing security has now started in the region and the province. During my visits to the province's cities, one of my key recommendations has been the preservation of security.
🔹 Gaining People’s Satisfaction is the “Greatest Service,” Dissatisfying Them the “Greatest Harm”
Mawlana Abdol Hamid stressed the importance of "winning the satisfaction of the Iranian nation," saying:
We must win the hearts of all Iranians, including women, ethnicities, and religious groups, and ensure the people are not dissatisfied. Everyone must strive to provide people with freedom.
He added:
The greatest service to any government or system, whether Islamic or otherwise, is rendered by those who win the people's hearts, and the greatest harm is done by those who cause public dissatisfaction. This is a truth no one can deny.
🔹 “We Advocate Justice and Moderation” / Islam Without Justice is Questionable
He further noted:
We are advocates of justice and moderation. We have often stated that our Islam is one of balance and moderation, opposing both extremism and negligence. Without justice and fairness, nothing can thrive.
He continued:
Justice and fairness are universally accepted values. If someone does not accept justice, their faith in Islam should be questioned. Some Islamic schools of thought regard justice as a fundamental principle, while others consider it a duty and pillar. We care deeply about Islam and the country and fear that people might develop negative perceptions of religion and Islam.
Mawlana Abdol Hamid at the Meeting of Sunni Religious School Principals in Sistan and Baluchistan:
🌏Addressing "Education" and "Preaching" as Essential Duties of Scholars/ Reformative Engagement of Scholars with the People Leads to Thriving Schools and Mosques
Shaikh ul Islam Mawlana Abdol Hamid, this morning, Thursday (November 28, 2024), during the second meeting of Sunni religious school principals in Sistan and Baluchistan, emphasized that focusing on the aspects of "education" and "preaching" are among the "intrinsic duties of scholars" and stressed the necessity of "reformative engagement" of scholars with the general public.
🔸"Collaboration for Advancing Religious Schools" as the Purpose of the Meeting
According to the official website of the Sunni Friday Prayer Office in Zahedan, Mawlana Abdol Hamid stated at this meeting—hosted by Madinat al-Uloom Seminary in Khash with the participation of prominent scholars, principals, and a group of teachers from Sunni religious schools in Sistan and Baluchistan—that the primary purpose of the gathering is "collaboration for advancing religious schools."
In his speech, Mawlana Abdol Hamid identified "planning and efforts to develop and promote schools" and "engaging with people to strengthen religiosity" as the main duties of scholars. He remarked:
The survival of mosques and religious schools depends on the religiosity and piety of the general public and the community. If neglect and sin prevail in society, and people fail to perform prayers and adhere to other religious commands, the negative impact naturally extends to mosques and religious schools as well. However, if scholars maintain a connection with the people and invite them toward religion, this engagement will contribute to the material and spiritual flourishing of schools. Beyond relying on the Almighty God, we need the material and spiritual support of the people.
The Friday Prayer Leader of Zahedan added:
The role of scholars in the areas of "education" and "preaching" is profoundly significant, and efforts in these domains constitute their essential duties and missions. If scholars fulfill this mission, we can hope for awakening among the people, or at least a reduction in irreligion within society. Thus, scholars should engage with the people in a reformative manner and seize every opportunity to fulfill their mission and responsibility.
The Head of the Coordination Council of Sunni Religious Schools in Sistan and Baluchistan, Addressing School Advancement, highlighted the importance of efforts by school administrators for the development and progress of schools, stating:
Past experience has shown that if school administrators and teachers fully and seriously address students' education, attendance in classes, and other apparent and inner needs, schools will prosper and advance.
In the concluding part of his speech during the meeting of Sunni religious school principals in Sistan and Baluchistan, Mawlana Abdol Hamid also advised and emphasized on "maintaining provincial security" and "pursuing demands and resolving issues through legal channels."

Mawlana Abdolhamid at the Friday Prayer in Zahedan:
🕌 The Hague Court's Ruling Against Israeli Officials is "A Major, Fair, and Just Action"
Sheikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdolhamid, today (November 22nd, 2024), at the Friday prayer in Zahedan, welcomed the Hague Court's ruling against the former Prime Minister and Defense Minister of Israel. He referred to the crimes committed by Israel against the Palestinian people, especially in Gaza, and described this ruling from the Hague Court as "a major," "very fair and just" action.
According to the official website of the Zahedan Friday Prayer Imam's office, Mawlana Abdolhamid stated: "The Hague Court's ruling against the former Prime Minister and Defense Minister of Israel, issuing an arrest warrant against them for war crimes, genocide, and crimes against humanity, is a major and fair action. Countries and governments that oppose this ruling fail to see the reality, and we are sorry for these governments."
He added: "In Israel's attacks, particularly the assault on Gaza, many women, children, elderly, and innocent, defenseless people have been killed and massacred under bombs and missiles. Around fifty thousand people have been killed, and over one hundred thousand injured. All the infrastructure and buildings in Gaza have been destroyed."
The Friday Prayer Imam of Zahedan continued: "Israel still claims it is defending itself, whereas according to international law, self-defense must be ‘legitimate.’ Israel has greatly violated international laws concerning warfare and self-defense in its attack on Gaza. Therefore, the Hague Court's ruling against Israeli officials is very fair and just."
He went on: "Not only the Hague Court, but the whole world can see the crimes Israel is committing in Gaza. We do not say these words because the people of Gaza are Muslim; if they were Jewish or Christian, we would say the same. If, instead of the Israeli Prime Minister, a Muslim Prime Minister had committed these crimes, our stance would be the same."
The Friday Imam of Zahedan emphasized: "The Quran says: 'Do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from being just.' Hatred and enmity toward a people should not prevent you from upholding justice and fairness. Justice and fairness must be upheld in all cases. If someone who kills Muslims and other humans is right in some matters, we should judge fairly and give them their due."
🔹 Life in This World is Worth Nothing Without "Justice and Fairness"
Mawlana Abdolhamid further noted: "Life in this world is only valuable as long as there are free, realistic, and truth-seeking individuals who judge fairly and justly. The day that there is no justice and fairness in the world, and no one speaks the truth and justly, then the world has no value, and its fate is sealed."
He added: "It is not just about Islam and religion; justice and fairness are very essential and important. A person who is just and fair is a good person. The Hague Court's ruling is a source of happiness, as it shows that there are those who speak justly and issue fair rulings."
Mawlana Abdol Hamid in the Meeting with the President and Scholars of Sistan-Baluchestan:
🌏 "For the Sake of the People and the Country's Condition, We Must Engage with the World"
Shaikh ul Islam Mawlana Abdol Hamid, this morning (Thursday, November 21, 2024), during a meeting with Dr. Pezeshkian, the President, alongside a group of Shia and Sunni scholars from Sistan-Baluchestan in Zahedan, emphasized that “showing respect and addressing the demands of the nation” are the “best policy and strategy.” He stressed, “Given the conditions prevailing in the country, we need to engage with the world.”
🔹Steps Taken Toward 'Change' and 'Addressing People's Issues' Must Be Accelerated
According to the official website of the Sunni Friday Prayer Leader’s Office in Zahedan, Mawlana Abdol Hamid referred to the promises and statements made by the head of the 14th administration during the presidential elections and stated:
“Mr. Pezeshkian, your promises during the election period clearly demonstrated that you understood the demands and needs of the people. The Iranian nation voted for you because you addressed the people’s pains, problems, and demands, including the need for change. Fortunately, you are taking steps in this direction, but these steps need to be accelerated.”
He added, “Currently, the Iranian people are grappling with severe economic pressures. The issues faced by people in cities and especially in the rural areas of Sistan-Baluchestan are deeply concerning. Unemployment is widespread in the province, forcing people to resort to lowly and unsustainable jobs such as fuel smuggling, which neither secures their future nor befits their dignity.”
🔹"Respecting the People is the 'Best and Strongest Policy' and the 'Most Important Strategy"
Mawlana Abdol Hamid described “caring for the people” and “addressing their problems and interests” as the “best policy,” stating:
“The people are the greatest asset of the country and the system. Therefore, preserving and respecting them and attending to their demands and issues is the best policy.”
He emphasized, “Any policy that can win over the hearts of the people is the best and strongest policy and the most significant strategy. If we are among the people and in their service, their hearts will be won.”
🔹"Engaging with the World" and "Revising Foreign and Domestic Policies" Can Alleviate Economic Issues
The Friday Prayer Leader of Zahedan stressed the necessity of “engaging with the world” and “revisiting foreign and domestic policies,” stating:
“Economics is intertwined with politics. The resolutions issued against Iran, the latest of which was issued today, have led to price hikes in the market. This demonstrates the direct link between ‘economics’ and ‘politics.’”
He reiterated, “As long as we do not revise our domestic and foreign policies—particularly foreign policies—we cannot resolve economic problems or enhance the value of our national currency. For the sake of the people and the prevailing conditions in the country, it is essential to engage with the world.”
Mawlana Abdol Hamid in the Meeting of Sistan-Baluchestan Elites with the President:
🌏"The People Are the Country’s Most Valuable Asset; Relying on Allah and Trusting the People Will Help Us Overcome Challenges"
Sheikh ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol Hamid, during a meeting of elites and intellectuals from Sistan-Baluchestan with the President on Thursday afternoon (November 21, 2024) in Zahedan, emphasized that the people are "the country’s most valuable asset." He underscored the necessity of two pillars—"reliance on Allah" and "trusting the people"—to address the nation’s challenges and crises.
🔹Sistan-Baluchestan Has Capable Individuals Who Can Serve the Nation on a National Level
According to the Information Office of the Sunni Friday Prayer Leader of Zahedan, Mawlana Abdol Hamid, after welcoming the President and his delegation, remarked:
“Mr. Pezeshkian! First and foremost, I want to thank you for taking steps toward justice and equity by appointing capable women, ethnic minorities, and members of different religious communities to significant roles. By entrusting a local from Sistan-Baluchestan with the position of governor, you have given hope to all locals of the province, making them more optimistic about their future, their country, and their homeland. Sistan-Baluchestan has talented individuals who can serve the nation effectively at the national level.”
He added:
“Of course, these are initial steps, and the public expects further and more rapid measures in this direction. In the current climate of international hostility, we need to win the hearts of all segments of the Iranian nation, including supporters, critics, and even those with or without religious beliefs. We need the support of the people. Reaching Allah is impossible without serving the people and gaining their satisfaction.”
🔹Utilize Elites from Various Provinces in National Roles
Mawlana Abdol Hamid further stated:
“Mr. Pezeshkian! Our request is for you to trust the people of this and other provinces and employ elites from different provinces at the national level. Utilizing regional elites can serve as the best bridge to connect these areas with the central government, ensuring that the concerns of the public reach the authorities and that governmental services effectively reach the people.”
🔹Sistan-Baluchestan Ranks Lowest in Education and Highest in Road Fatalities
Mawlana Abdol Hamid highlighted the conditions in Sistan-Baluchestan, saying:
“In comparison to other parts of the country, Sistan-Baluchestan ranks the lowest in education indicators, and the state of education here has been deteriorating over time, particularly in rural areas, where it is catastrophic. This is despite the fact that students in Sistan-Baluchestan have the highest IQ levels nationwide. If they receive proper education, they could significantly benefit the entire country.”
He added:
“Due to substandard and undivided roads, Sistan-Baluchestan has the highest road fatality rate among all provinces. Highways have yet to be constructed, and ongoing road projects are progressing at a snail’s pace, even though transitory trade relies on these narrow roads.”
Addressing President Pezeshkian, he asserted:
“We hope you will prioritize education and transportation in this province in your agenda.”
🕌Shaikh ul-Islam Mawlana Abdolhamid's Speech in Cheshmeh Ziarat
Shaikh ul-Islam Mawlana Abdolhamid, on Friday evening, November 22nd 2024, delivered a speech at the ceremony honoring the Quran memorizers of Mohammad Rasoul Allah Religious School and the graduates of the women’s school of the Maktab of Hazrat Aisha Siddiqa in the "Cheshmeh Ziarat" region – a part of Zahedan county.
✳️ Excerpts from Shaikh ul-Islam Mawlana Abdolhamid's Speech at the Ceremony Honoring the Memorization of the Holy Quran at Mohammad Rasoul Allah Religious School and the Graduates of Hazrat Aisha's Women’s Maktab in Cheshmeh Ziarat, Zahedan / Friday Evening, 2nd Azar 1403:
#The Instability of the World
📌 "We are travelers in this world; our true homeland is not here. The past generations have gone, and now it is our turn. This world is ours only as long as we are alive. Death nullifies our ownership and takes away our wealth and lands from us."
📌 "This world is fleeting; with every passing day and year, we move closer to the end of our lives. Even though we see the deaths of our loved ones, we do not believe that one day we too must leave this world."
📌 "This world is not a place to stay; we are here to fulfill temporary needs and prepare for the afterlife."
#Heaven and Hell
📌 "Heaven can be built with good deeds: if we do bad, we will see bad, and if we do good, we will see good. The punishment of this world is limited, but the punishment of the afterlife is severe and infinite."
📌 "All the beauties of Heaven are the result of your good deeds: prayer, fasting, pilgrimage, and serving creation, even helping animals like giving water to a cat, will lead you to Heaven."
📌 "Heaven is the reward for kindness, justice, and fairness. If you treat your children and subordinates justly, you will earn the satisfaction of the Lord."
📌 "The life of this world is not for amassing wealth; we are here to worship God, win the hearts of people, and help the needy."
📌 "Death and Hell are not far away. Your good deeds will lead you to Heaven, and your sins will lead you to Hell. Struggling against your own desires and avoiding sins is the path of the prophets and of God."
#The Importance of Religion
📌 "A religious person is one who implements all of religion in their life. This world is a test that should not distract us from God and the Quran."
📌 "Religion teaches correct belief and behavior and guides us to salvation."
📌 "We must have religion and preserve it, and act according to religious rulings."
Mawlana Abdol Hamid at the Seminar on “The Miraculous Nature of the Quran and Its Dimensions”:
🕌In every era, a new miracle of the Quran is unveiled. The Quran is an eternal miracle and a testament to the truth of Islam
Shaikh ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol Hamid, on the evening of Wednesday, November 20, 2024, addressed the second academic seminar on Quranic Studies at Darul Uloom Zahedan. The event, centered on “The Miraculous Nature of the Quran and Its Dimensions” and organized by the Department of Research and Higher Education (Specialization in Tafsir), was held at Makki Grand Mosque. Highlighting the “manifestation of Quranic miracles in every era”, Mawlana Abdol Hamid referred to the Quran as an “eternal miracle” and the “proof of Islam’s truth”, emphasizing the need to follow this divine book.
According to the Office of the Sunni Friday Prayer Imam of Zahedan, Mawlana Abdol Hamid began by discussing the “greatness and miraculous nature of the Quran”, stating:
“The Quran is the greatest divine miracle, unmatched by anyone. Allah Almighty has challenged humans, jinn, and the world to bring forth something like the Quran, even just ten chapters or a single chapter akin to those in the Quran. If they fail, they must acknowledge that the Quran is from Allah.”
Referring to the Quran’s unique characteristics, he said:
“During the Prophet’s era, the Quran was revealed in a manner that even the poets and eloquent Arabs confessed their inability to match its eloquence and rhetoric. Its revelation dismantled the influence of many poets, proving that this book is the Word of God. The Quran is the testament to the truth of Islam and the Prophethood of Muhammad (peace be upon him).”
The Friday Prayer Imam of Zahedan further elaborated on the distinctions between the Quran and other divine scriptures, stating:
“While other divine books were also the Word of God, they were not miracles; hence, they were subjected to distortion. However, the Quran, being a miracle, has remained safeguarded against any alteration due to its miraculous nature.”
🔹Miracles Adapted to Each Era
Addressing the nature of miracles across different times, Mawlana Abdol Hamid also elaborated on the role of miracles in different times:
“In every era, miracles suited to the conditions of that time were granted. Allah gave miracles to Prophet Musa (Moses) and Prophet Isa (Jesus) that the people of their times were incapable of replicating. During the time of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), people excelled in eloquence and rhetoric, making the Quran an unparalleled miracle."
He further remarked on the Quran’s miraculous dimensions in various periods:
“The Quran is a miracle for every age, with new aspects of its miraculous nature revealed in each period. Changing circumstances and times continuously interpret the Quran, offering fresh messages to humanity in every era.”
🔹The Quran’s Transformative Impact
Highlighting the Quran’s profound influence, Mawlana Abdol Hamid stated:
“This divine book, besides guiding humanity, possesses miraculous qualities for healing both physical and spiritual ailments. Its impact is unparalleled by any other recitation or remembrance.”
🔹The Quran’s Focus on Human Rights and Dignity
Expressing concern over the neglect of the Quran among Muslims, Mawlana Abdol Hamid remarked: “Scholars and memorizers of the Quran must remain committed to its recitation. The Quran should be completed at least once a month, with recitation accompanied by understanding its meanings and observing the rules of Tajweed.”
He added: “The Quran is a book of guidance, showing the path to worldly and eternal success. It is a comprehensive book encompassing beliefs, ethics, laws, history, and politics, while paying special attention to human rights and dignity.”
🔹We Must Ensure Our Actions Do Not Arouse Global Sentiments Against Our Nation
Zahedan’s Friday prayer leader, Shaikh ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol Hamid, expressed his astonishment at the apparent disregard some individuals show towards provoking international sentiment, stating, “I am profoundly surprised that certain individuals exhibit no concern about stirring the emotions of the global community. We must be vigilant that our words and actions do not provoke international organizations, human rights advocates, and the public’s sentiments against our nation, government, and country.”
He emphasized, "Allah the Almighty commanded Prophet Moses and Prophet Aaron, peace be upon them, to speak to Pharaoh with gentleness and wisdom. Today, we too must employ gentle and prudent language when addressing the ‘Pharaohs’ of our time. The Iranian nation has undertaken a revolution, yet this does not imply that we should engage in hostile and aggressive rhetoric or remain in constant conflict. Instead, it should inspire transformation in our moral character, conduct, economy, and livelihoods. The most profound revolution is, indeed, an ‘ethical revolution.’”
🔹Sound Wisdom and Judicious Prudence Can Prevent Escalation of War and Additional Sanctions
Mawlana Abdol Hamid remarked, “Given the recent developments worldwide, we perceive an impending risk of more severe sanctions that may be imposed on our country. Therefore, our heartfelt recommendation to the officials is to act with prudence and realism, considering the actual circumstances rather than responding impulsively.”
He further stated, “The Iranian nation has moved beyond the ‘red line’ and can no longer bear further sanctions and hardships. Wise and prudent action can avert the threat of further war and sanctions.”
🔹 Empower Dr. Pezeshkian’s Administration with Greater Authority in Foreign Policy
Continuing his remarks, Mawlana Abdol Hamid expressed satisfaction with the recent diplomatic language adopted by government officials in countering the agendas of those who seek to intensify sanctions against the Iranian people. He called for “greater authority to be granted to Dr. Pezeshkian’s administration in the realm of foreign policy so that it can address these challenges with necessary foresight, diplomacy, and tolerance.” He emphasized, “Our nation must adopt an approach of tolerance and cooperation with the global community, which is both a Quranic commandment and harmonious with Iranian culture and heritage.”
🔹Western Nations and International Bodies Should Avoid Repeating “Past Errors”
In another part of his sermon, Mawlana Abdol Hamid identified “Israel’s occupation of Palestine” as the root cause of prolonged conflict in the Middle East and globally, stating, “Our recommendation to the global community is to refrain from repeating past mistakes. I unequivocally declare that Western nations and many international entities are pursuing an erroneous path. The hostilities and conflicts of the past seventy years in the Middle East, particularly the continued occupation and aggressions by Israel in Palestine and Gaza, are rooted in this misguided approach.”
He further elaborated, "A comprehensive and correct analysis would reveal that international terrorism and the current insecurity in the Middle East and other regions stem from the prolonged conflicts that have persisted for over seventy years in Palestine. The United States and various Middle Eastern nations have also borne heavy costs because they have failed to pursue the appropriate course.”
🔹 Expressing Gratitude for the Patience of the People and the Families of the Martyrs and Injured: Rest Assured, Your Rights Will Be Pursued
The Friday prayer leader of Zahedan expressed gratitude for the “patience and perseverance of the families of the martyrs and injured, as well as the general public,” saying: “We extend our heartfelt thanks to the injured and the families of the martyrs, who have lost their loved ones, and to all the honorable people who have exercised patience. We pray that Allah Almighty bestows His greatest mercy upon all these dear ones. The injured and the families of the martyrs should rest assured that their rights will be pursued.”
🔹 We Work for the Good and Benefit of All the People of Iran
Shaikh ul Islam Mawlana Abdol Hamid, during his remarks in a meeting with the injured and families of the martyrs of the Bloody Fridays of Zahedan and Khash, stated: "We stand united with the entire Iranian nation. The suffering of every individual in Iran is our suffering, and their joy is our joy. We share in their pain."
He continued, "What brings us happiness is the ability to serve as a source of good, to address the hardships of the people, and to ease their burdens. We are pleased if the sacrifices of our martyrs and the prayers of their families bring blessings to the people of Iran."
The Friday prayer leader of Zahedan emphasized, "The rights of all Iranians—women, ethnic groups, and religious sects—are of great importance to us. If we believe that our actions will benefit the people, women, ethnicities, religious groups, and the nation as a whole, we will take those steps. We consider the interests of all Iranians. The pain that the families of the martyrs and injured have endured is understood by no one else, and this pain will only find solace when these sacrifices bring about positive change, alleviate the problems of the Iranian nation, and eliminate discrimination."
🔹There Are No More Oppressed than the Martyrs of the Bloody Friday of Zahedan
Mawlana Abdol Hamid concluded by saying, "After the incident in Zahedan, some people saw the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, in a dream, who said that the martyrs of this incident had come to him. There are none more oppressed than those who were martyred in this incident, for they came to perform the Friday prayer, and many of them were martyred inside the prayer hall."

🔸 While “Supporting” the New Governor, “Special Authority” Should Be Granted
In conclusion, Mawlana Abdol Hamid stressed the need to “grant the governor special authority to resolve issues” and said, “People want the new governor to be both supported and empowered with special authority.” He added, “Based on our knowledge of the new governor, he will not discriminate among the people of the region; our hope is that he will work wholeheartedly and create opportunities for other local individuals in the province. The people of the province will also support him.”

Mawlana Abdol Hamid at the 'Honoring and Inauguration Ceremony of the Sistan and Baluchestan Governor':
🌏 Appointing Qualified Representatives from Ethnic Groups and Sects Leads to Public Satisfaction
Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol Hamid, on Saturday afternoon (November 2, 2024), expressed satisfaction at the inauguration ceremony for the new governor of Sistan and Baluchestan, celebrating the selection of a qualified, local Sunni Baloch for the position. He emphasized that employing capable individuals from diverse ethnicities and addressing people's needs effectively contribute to "public satisfaction" and "reducing the costs of maintaining security."
🔸“I sense the President is Striving to Fulfill his Promises.”
According to the office of the Friday Prayer Leader of Sunnis in Zahedan, Mawlana Abdol Hamid, during the event held at Ferdowsi Hall of Sistan and Baluchestan University and attended by the Minister of Interior, Eskandar Momeni, extended his greetings to all participants, particularly the special guests. He remarked, "Due to a previous incident, I have not been able to attend gatherings for over two years, but I have always been devoted to the wellbeing of the province and its people."
Continuing, he noted: "Now that I am here, I sense that the esteemed President is endeavoring to keep his promises for the good of the people and the nation. Steps have indeed been taken in this direction, although further positive measures are still needed."
🔸 The Iranian People Value Benevolent Words and Deeds
Mawlana Abdol Hamid added: "One of the President's promises was to utilize diverse ethnicities and sects in governance. Fortunately, steps have been made in this regard, with governors appointed from local communities in provinces like Kurdistan, Khuzestan, and now Sistan and Baluchestan."
He continued: "There is great wisdom in appointing qualified locals, as it fosters public approval and satisfaction. After the announcement of a capable, local Sunni Baloch for the governorship, people across the province rejoiced at the government’s trust in a talented individual from within the region, giving him an opportunity to demonstrate his capabilities."
Mawlana Abdol Hamid further stated: "Every ethnic and religious group, and the people of Iran—indeed, even Iranians living abroad—are among the nation's greatest assets. The Iranian people are distinguished by their commitment to unity and the preservation of the country’s integrity."
He concluded, "Among Iranian men and women, there is a wealth of qualified individuals. The more the state trusts its people and the more policies align with the people's needs, the greater the positive outcomes will be. The Iranian people are thoughtful, grateful, and appreciative of anyone who speaks or acts for their welfare."
🔹 Scholars and Officials Must Be "Compassionate Servants of the People"
The Zahedan prayer leader continued:
"Scholars and officials must be compassionate and serve the people, which is an honor for them. Personally, my greatest aspiration is to serve and care for the people, and I consider this a privilege. We must dedicate our lives to serving the public. Whenever Allah grants me the opportunity to supplicate, I pray for the prosperity and honor of Iran’s people in both this world and the hereafter, as well as for the guidance and happiness of all humanity."
🔹 The Province's Security Must Be Preserved; Insecurity Harms Both People and Officials
In conclusion, Mawlana Abdol Hamid emphasized the need to maintain "security" and said:
"Security is a vital and critical matter. We urge the people of this country, particularly in Sistan-Baluchistan, to preserve security. Insecurity harms the public, officials, and all segments of society."
He added:
"Given the new circumstances in the country, greater attention must be paid to maintaining security so that there are no obstacles to ensuring justice, advancing the province, or addressing people's problems."
The Friday prayer leader emphasized:
"My message to those beyond our borders is also to strive for security. Existing disputes should be resolved through mutual forgiveness and understanding."

"In the verses preceding this, Allah the Almighty delineates the characteristics of two distinct groups: the first group comprises hypocrites, who outwardly profess Islam and articulate pleasant words that resonate with Muslims but, in reality, spread corruption on earth—'And when he goes away, he strives throughout the land to cause corruption therein and destroy crops and animals' [Al-Baqarah: 205]. The second group consists of sincere believers, who dedicate their lives for the sake of Allah’s pleasure—'And of the people is he who sells himself, seeking means to the approval of Allah' [Al-Baqarah: 207]. Following this, Allah commands the believers not to emulate the hypocrites, who adhere selectively to religious teachings, but instead to enter Islam fully and uphold both Huqooq Allah (the rights of Allah) and Huqooq al-Nas (the rights of people)."
Mawlana Abdol Hamid underscored:
"The observance of both Huqooq Allah and Huqooq al-Nas holds immense significance and has been repeatedly emphasized in the Quran and Sunnah. In many Quranic verses, the rights of people are given precedence over the rights of Allah, while in certain contexts, the rights of Allah take priority. The foremost and most significant right of Allah upon His servants is Tawheed (monotheism). Following Tawheed, observing the rights of people, particularly Huqooq al-Walidayn (the rights of parents), takes precedence. A Muslim's faith achieves perfection only when both the rights of Allah and the rights of people are upheld. A religion that focuses solely on Tawheed while neglecting people's rights cannot lead to true salvation."
🔹 Leaders and All Members of Society Must Uphold "Huqooq Allah (Rights owed to Allah) and Huqooq al-Nas (Rights owed to people)"
Mawlana Abdol Hamid continued:
"Many people mistakenly believe that possessing 'correct beliefs' alone suffices for salvation, neglecting the essential obligations and pillars of religion, while committing injustices and sins. They assume that merely identifying as 'Muslims' is sufficient for divine forgiveness. However, this is a grave misunderstanding. Anyone who oppresses others, violates the rights of women, children, orphans, or any other group in society, will undoubtedly be held accountable by Allah."
He further stated:
"We are all servants of Allah, and it is our duty to follow His commands, for He is our Creator and Sustainer, and everything we possess is by His grace. Thus, it is incumbent upon all members of society, including global leaders, to ensure the observance of Huqooq Allah and Huqooq al-Nas. Both leaders and individuals must adhere to Allah’s commandments and respect the rights of others."
Mawlana Abdol Hamid emphasized:
"No one has the authority to punish, fine, or penalize anyone without adhering to the commands and laws of Allah. We strongly advise everyone to respect the rights of Allah’s servants. All are obligated to follow the Shariah and the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to ensure that no individual's rights are violated."
🔹 Drug-Related Executions Result in Nothing but Orphaned Families; Political Executions Are Also Flawed
Addressing the issue of executions, Mawlana Abdol Hamid stated:
One of the laws causing public concern and having global repercussions for the country involves harsh actions, forced confessions, and the rise in executions.
He added:
All these individuals are our fellow Iranians. When some Muslims suggested to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) that the hypocrites spying against Muslims be killed, the Prophet refrained, saying that if he killed them, the world would accuse him of killing his own people.
The Friday Prayer Leader emphasized:
The executions carried out to combat drug trafficking have resulted in nothing but leaving Iranian families without breadwinners. Political executions are also flawed. My heartfelt request to officials is to replace executions with imprisonment and other punitive measures for those who commit crimes. However, implementing qisas (retributive justice) is Allah's command and entirely correct, except when the victim's family forgives.
🔹 Rising Suicide Rates in the Country Must Be Addressed
In the concluding part of his speech, Mawlana Abdol Hamid expressed regret over the "increase in suicide rates" in the country, stating:
Unfortunately, suicide has become prevalent, with some even sewing their mouths shut. These issues must be studied to understand why doctors, specialists, and children are committing suicide. If there are underlying problems, pressures, or hardships, they must be resolved to bring about relief.

Mawlana Abdol Hamid in Zahedan Friday Prayer Ceremony:
🕌 Soft Policies are More Effective than Harsh and Aggressive Approaches
Shaikh ul Islam Mawlana Abdol Hamid, during today’s Friday prayer ceremony in Zahedan (November 29, 2024), emphasized the positive impact of "soft words and policies" compared to "harsh and aggressive policies and actions." He stressed the importance of "gaining public satisfaction" and "revising laws and policies in the interest of the people and the country."
According to the official website of the Sunni Friday Prayer Office in Zahedan, Mawlana Abdol Hamid stated:
Allah Almighty is not with harshness and severity; rather, His attention and support are with kindness and gentle words. Allah instructed Prophet Musa (Moses) and Prophet Harun (Aaron), peace be upon them: 'And speak to him [Pharaoh] with gentle speech that perhaps he may be reminded or fear [Allah]' (Quran 20:44). Even with Pharaoh, one of history’s greatest tyrants, Allah recommended soft speech so that it might affect him or lead to reflection.
He continued:
This guidance to Prophet Musa is, in reality, a lesson for all humanity: that soft words, behavior, and policies are more effective than harsh words, behavior, and policies. The experiences of reformers, preachers, and governments throughout history show that better results are achieved through gentleness, good manners, and engaging with people respectfully. Our advice to all governments and states is that harsh actions and words do not work; rather, soft behavior and speech should always be employed.
🔹 "No Changes in Some Laws After 45 Years" / Laws Should Consider Global Conditions
The Friday Prayer Leader of Zahedan further remarked:
My consistent recommendation has been that, like other countries, laws and policies that have been enacted by legislative bodies or the Guardian Council, which have proven ineffective, must be changed. Continuing ineffective laws and policies has caused significant harm.
He added:
Laws created by humans are only functional for a limited period and cannot remain effective indefinitely. These laws must change in response to evolving human conditions. Even in divine laws, there are instances of naskh (abrogation), where Allah Almighty replaced previous rulings with new ones when circumstances changed. However, after the demise of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the cessation of revelation, divine laws explicitly stated in the Quran and Sunnah remain immutable until the Day of Judgment. Issues subject to ijtihad (jurisprudential reasoning) can change.
Mawlana Abdol Hamid noted:
Unfortunately, 45 years have passed since the enactment of some laws and policies in our country, yet many of them have not undergone any change, which has led to deficiencies. I say this as a well-wisher and out of concern for our country. We live in this world and must consider its conditions, evaluating which laws benefit the people and the nation. Members of parliament, the government that submits bills, and other relevant bodies should take global circumstances into account when passing laws.
🔹We Hope the President's Visit to Sistan and Baluchestan Will Bring Goodness
🔸 When a President Talks About Justice and Eliminating Discrimination, It Is Very Valuable
Mawlana Abdolhamid, in another part of his speech, referred to the recent visit of the President to Sistan and Baluchestan. He said: "The honorable President, along with several ministers, deputy ministers, and colleagues, were guests of our province yesterday. It was a good day because on that day, we heard a President speak against discrimination and injustice. When a President speaks about justice and eliminating discrimination, it is very valuable."
He emphasized: "If we hear and see just words and actions from the country's officials, and if they take positive steps toward justice and fairness, it is our duty to welcome it, and this is also part of fairness."
The Imam of Zahedan continued: "The President, on his first provincial visit, came to the remote province of Sistan and Baluchestan. This province is deprived in every way; it is the poorest province in the country, with the lowest educational and literacy levels, and has the highest road traffic fatalities due to substandard roads. Therefore, we hope that the President's visit and his delegation bring goodness to the province."
🔹 The President’s Presence and High Officials' Impact on the Security and Peace of the Province
🔸 Nothing is as Influential as the Implementation of Justice and Fairness in Ensuring Security
Mawlana Abdolhamid further emphasized: "I am confident that the positive presence of the President and high-ranking officials in Sistan and Baluchestan will have an impact on the security and peace of the province. I believe that the influence of impartial and fair statements from an official in ensuring security is more impactful than statements from an official who talks about bombs and missiles. I remember one of the past Presidents, during a visit to Sistan and Baluchestan, said in his speech that those who create insecurity in the province would be met with bombs and missiles. After the return of this President, insecurity in the province increased. Therefore, it is better to always speak about justice and fairness."
He stressed: "Our message to the honorable President and other officials is that nothing in the world is as influential as the implementation of justice and fairness in ensuring security, and if necessary, we are ready to swear on this matter. Our actions must be a few steps ahead of our words. We must show fairness and justice in action."
Move Towards Gaining the People’s Satisfaction and Fear No Threats
The Imam of Zahedan added: "Our advice to the officials of the province, the country, and other countries around the world is to take care of their people and win their hearts. If you win the hearts of the people and move in the direction of satisfying them, there is no need to fear any power or threat."
He continued: "Our request from all levels, including judicial, security, military, law enforcement, and other ministries and departments, is to direct all their efforts toward the people of Iran, including men, women, youth, etc., and strive with all their might to implement justice and fairness. If the people and officials align their perspectives within the framework of justice and fairness and move forward within this framework, all problems will be solved."
Mawlana Abdolhamid Concluded His Speech by Mentioning that the Problems and Demands of the People of the Province, Including the Bloody Friday of Zahedan, Were Raised with the President and "Fair Attention" Will Be Given to These Matters.
The Imam of Zahedan Also Referenced the Recent Province Administrative Council Meeting and Said: "Praise be to God, in last night’s meeting of the Administrative Council, very constructive and encouraging decisions were made."

🔹Local Communities Excluded from Major Provincial Projects
Mawlana Abdol Hamid further elaborated on the issues facing Sistan-Baluchestan Province, stating:
“There are numerous large-scale projects in Sistan-Baluchestan, but unfortunately, local communities have not been included in these projects and have no place in them.”
He emphasized:
“The province’s land and sea borders are among its most significant potentials. Worldwide, borders are seen as ‘opportunities,’ but regrettably, our borders have become ‘threats,’ constantly opening and closing. Unfortunately, there is no unified management system involving capable individuals to establish policies, and decision-making in this area is inconsistent.”
He continued:
“Sistan-Baluchestan is home to exceptional, massive, and highly valuable mineral resources with substantial reserves. These large-scale mines could transform the country, alleviating burdens on both the nation and the government. These resources must be managed and exploited in ways that benefit the Iranian people, with local communities also having a stake in them. It shouldn’t be the case that only large companies profit from these resources, while the local population gains nothing beyond a few basic labor jobs and is left to deal with environmental damages.”
The Friday Prayer Leader of Zahedan highlighted:
“The vast plains in Sistan-Baluchestan are currently being cultivated by some companies on farms spanning thousands of hectares, utilizing local dams and groundwater. Similarly, in the Makran Coastal Development Plan, coastal lands are being used, yet many local people, who have lived in these areas for centuries, still reside in makeshift shelters. If these communities are excluded from major projects, it would be a severe shortcoming, leading to public dissatisfaction and discontent.”
🔹The ‘Security Atmosphere’ in the Province Deters Investors
Engage the Public for Sustainable Security
In another part of his speech, Mawlana Abdol Hamid addressed the implications of the province’s “security atmosphere,” stating:
“Sistan-Baluchestan has a security-focused environment, which discourages investors from coming to the province. Therefore, it is crucial to shift the province’s environment from ‘security-focused’ to one that promotes ‘workshops and employment.’”
He emphasized:
“Regarding security, a policy must be adopted that involves the public in establishing and maintaining security. Public participation in this regard reduces the costs of ensuring security and fosters sustainable, long-term stability. Using coercive measures for security might result in temporary stability but could also lead to dissatisfaction among certain segments of the population.”
🔹‘Employing Competent and Honest Individuals’ is the People’s Primary Demand from Dr. Pezeshkian
Concluding his remarks, the Friday Prayer Leader of Zahedan expressed satisfaction with the appointment of “a competent individual” as the governor of Sistan-Baluchestan, saying:
“We appreciate Dr. Pezeshkian’s trust in appointing a qualified and capable local individual as the governor of Sistan-Baluchestan, as well as his decision to select Mr. Abdolkarim Hosseinzadeh as deputy governor.”
He added:
“The people’s demand from Dr. Pezeshkian is to utilize capable and competent individuals. We, the Sunni and Baloch communities, do not seek unqualified individuals. Instead, we want representatives from various ethnicities and sects who are honest, competent, and capable of delivering results, avoiding actions that tarnish the reputation of the people or the government.”

🔹Unity and Solidarity Exist Among the Province’s People; Strengthen This Unity
He remarked:
“Thanks to Allah, the people of Sistan-Baluchestan—Shia, Sunni, Sistani, Baloch, and others—live in unity, practicing their religious duties individually while maintaining harmony. The important thing is for them to coexist in markets, offices, and political spheres.”
Mawlana Abdol Hamid emphasized:
“We ask you to strengthen this existing unity in the province. If we work side by side in all sectors, rest assured that the people themselves will safeguard security, reducing security costs to zero. When we protect our people, no adversary or rogue element will dare disrupt security in the province or region.”
He concluded:
“We are an integral part of the Iranian nation, and we feel solidarity with all Iranians, sharing in their struggles and hardships. Wherever an Iranian citizen is honored, it is as though we have been honored.”
🔹"Narrow-Mindedness" is the Root Cause of the Problems the Country Faces Today / By "Reevaluating the Selection Process," We Can Employ the Capable Individuals from Inside and Outside the Country
In another part of his speech, Mawlana Abdolhamid referred to the "status and great potential of the Iranian people" and said: "The Iranian people have a rich and ancient culture, and the introduction of Islamic culture into Iran has greatly enhanced the culture and capacity of this nation."
He pointed to "narrow-mindedness" as the cause of the problems the country faces and stated: "Narrow-mindedness is the reason for the problems that the country is dealing with today. We have made the circle too small and have failed to employ many capable and qualified individuals who have greater potential."
The Imam of Zahedan emphasized: "Currently, about ten million Iranians live abroad, and many continue to emigrate. These individuals are the assets of Iran and have talent that helps develop other countries. We hope to see the day when we can bring Iranians living abroad back to the country with pride and make use of their talents and capabilities to build the country. Together, we should all work for Iran."
He added: "Inside the country, there are also educated and capable individuals. By reevaluating the selection process and broadening the scope of selections, we can employ those who possess greater ability, competence, and work ethic."
Mawlana Abdolhamid continued: "The people are the most important assets of the country. If we place our trust in Allah Almighty and trust the people of Iran, and give them value, we can overcome the problems and crises."
🔹Resolving Issues Through "Dialogue" is the Best Approach / Western Governments Should Engage with Iran Through "Dialogue" Instead of Issuing Resolutions
The Imam of Zahedan, continuing his speech, called for "reconsideration of some policies" and said: "It is common around the world for countries to reevaluate their policies. In our country, some policies also need to be reconsidered. The best approach is to resolve issues and problems through dialogue with the world and with the people themselves."
He added: "Our advice to the United Nations and Western governments is that, instead of issuing resolutions against Iran, they should engage through dialogue and discourse. Our advice to the officials is also to open the door for dialogue. Of course, we know that you have patience and are ready for dialogue."

🔹Ending Israel’s Occupation and Establishing an Independent Palestinian State as the Optimal Solution to Middle East Conflicts
Mawlana Abdol Hamid asserted, “The most constructive course of action for all parties, including the allies of Israel and the supporters of Palestine, is to press for an end to Israel’s occupation and aggressions so that Palestinians can establish an independent state. Europeans and Americans should exert pressure on Israel to restore the rights of the Palestinian people, and the global community must recognize the State of Palestine.”
He concluded, "This path would serve the interests of all nations and could secure peace in the Middle east and globally. Such an approach would also address the complaints surrounding ‘proxy forces,’ as these groups emerge from the existing conflicts; if the conflicts are resolved, there will no longer be any justification for these groups to exist.”
🔹Safeguarding Security and Peace in Sistan-Baluchistan
Concluding his remarks, Mawlana Abdol Hamid emphasized the “imperative of maintaining security in Sistan-Baluchistan,” stating, “Regrettably, our province has recently witnessed episodes of insecurity and disturbances. I urge everyone to act responsibly to safeguard the peace and security of our province and region.”
He added, "Our province must be secure, and those with demands and grievances should pursue them through constructive dialogue. Everyone should focus on constructive criticism and strive for greater tranquility in our province. I emphatically urge all to preserve regional security and prevent any breaches of peace within our borders.”

Mawlana Abdol Hamid in Zahedan Friday Prayers:
🕌The Iranian Nation Can No Longer Bear Further Sanctions
The Government Should Grant Greater Authority to Pezeshkian’s Administration in Foreign Affairs
Shaikh ul Islam Mawlana Abdol Hamid, speaking today (November 15, 2024) during Friday prayers in Zahedan, urged officials to employ “soft and wise language” and to “engage with the world through interaction and tolerance.” He stated, “The Iranian people cannot endure further sanctions; wise and prudent leadership can prevent the escalation of war and additional sanctions.” The Sunni Friday prayer leader of Zahedan also expressed satisfaction with the political language of the current government and called for “greater authority to be granted to Pezeshkian’s administration in the field of foreign policy.”
🔹The Most Harmful Words and Actions Are Those That Lead People Away from Faith
According to the Sunni Friday Prayer Office of Zahedan, Mawlana Abdol Hamid began his remarks by emphasizing the need to avoid words and actions that cause “cynicism and alienation toward religion.” He stated, "The worst speech and behavior are those that are unjust and unfair, driving people away from Allah and leading them to disdain and mistrust the faith.” He referred to a Hadith in which two Companions led lengthy congregational prayers at dawn and evening, which provoked complaints from some worshippers. The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, expressed unprecedented anger upon hearing this, and during a sermon, he remarked, “Some of you drive people away from religion.”
He continued, "It is crucial that our actions do not turn people away from religion, but rather draw them to Allah with proper conduct, respect, and love. True Islam is reflected in fair and just words and deeds. Speaking lies is the worst distortion and an unkind act.”
🔹Scholars, Officials, and the Public Must Guard Their Words and Deeds
🔸 Causing Distrust Toward Religion Is the “Greatest Injustice” and an “Unforgivable Crime”
Mawlana Abdol Hamid advised, “Every Muslim’s words and actions have an impact. When an Iranian speaks or acts justly, it brings pride to all of us. But when one of our fellow citizens or someone dressed as we are commits an injustice, sets up barriers, takes hostages, kills, or acts unfairly, they commit the greatest wrong against us and harm us by contradicting Islamic and human ethics.”
He further explained, "If a person who identifies as a Muslim, and is present in the mosque and in prayer, conducts themselves well, it encourages positive perceptions of the faith. However, if their behavior is harmful, it alienates people from Islam, even if they pray at night and perform Hajj yearly. Therefore, all of us—scholars, officials, and the public—must be mindful of our words and actions so as not to instill aversion toward Islam, the Prophet, his Companions, and the Ahl al-Bayt. This is the greatest injustice and an unforgivable crime.”
🔹The Increase in Suicide Rates in the Country
Mawlana Abdol Hamid expressed concern over the “rising suicide rates” in the country, stating, “Unfortunately, we are witnessing a rise in suicide cases in our country. We must remember that Islam is a religion of mercy, and the Prophet of Islam is a prophet of compassion. Our conduct should not drive anyone to despair of religion or life, leading them to actions like suicide or other extreme acts.”
He added, "Although Islamic principles and rules are inherently just, we must apply them in a way that does not create resentment or aversion within society. We must avoid inciting hostility toward faith. Early in the revolution, a group of revolution supporters engaged in hijacking, which greatly upset the founder of the Islamic Republic, who expressed frustration over actions that stirred the sentiments of the global community against us.”
Mawlana Abdol Hamid’s Meeting with the Injured and Families of Martyrs from the Bloody Fridays of Zahedan and Khash
🌏The New Government Emphasizes Resolving the Events of Zahedan and Khash
Shaikh ul Islam Mawlana Abdol Hamid, on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, in a meeting with the injured and the families of the martyrs from the Bloody Fridays of Zahedan and Khash, expressed that "in the previous administration, we did not witness any determination to resolve the issue of Zahedan and Khash," but announced that the "new government has made a clear commitment to resolve" this matter. In the meeting, the Friday prayer leader of Zahedan also expressed gratitude for the "patience and perseverance of the people, especially the families of the martyrs and the injured from the Bloody Fridays," and emphasized that "the religious and legal rights" of the families of the martyrs and the injured in these incidents "will be pursued."
🔹The Efforts Made to Address the Zahedan Incident Have Not Been “Satisfactory”
According to the information office of the Sunni Friday prayer leader of Zahedan, Shaikh ul Islam Mawlana Abdol Hamid stated: “From the beginning, in line with the request of the families of the martyrs of Bloody Friday, we have demanded the enforcement of their religious and legal right, which is ‘qisas’ (retributive justice), and have insisted that this matter must be handled according to justice and fairness, in a way that brings satisfaction to our people, especially the families of the martyrs and the injured in these incidents.”
He added: “We have previously stated that this tragedy was a result of discrimination; if Sunni representatives had been present in the Provincial Security Council and the armed forces, such an incident would not have occurred. We have also expressed that if you can eliminate these discriminations and resolve the national issues of the Iranian people, we are even willing to ask the families of the martyrs, for the sake of the Iranian nation, to forgo their rights and leave the final decision to you. These are statements we have made in the past.”
The Friday prayer leader of Zahedan continued, “There have been efforts to address the Zahedan incident, but these efforts have not been satisfactory. Some sought to resolve the matter through ‘conciliation.’ At that time, we stated that the process of conciliation requires first apologizing to the people and the victims and condemning those responsible for the incident. However, unfortunately, these actions have not been taken. Had an appropriate and acceptable verdict been issued against all those involved in the killings, our people have the capacity to forgive. But, unfortunately, we have not yet reached that stage. This is a report on the progress made so far regarding this incident, as conveyed to you.”
🔹In the Previous Government, We Saw No Determination to Resolve the Events of Zahedan and Khash; the New Government Is Emphasizing Resolution
Mawlana Abdol Hamid went on to reference the new government’s commitment to “resolve the incidents of the Bloody Fridays in Zahedan and Khash,” saying, “The new government has come into office with a new approach and has emphasized from the start that this issue must be resolved. In today’s meeting, we want to first hear the opinions and demands of the injured and the families of the martyrs, who are entitled to them.”
He noted, “We saw no determination to resolve this issue in the previous administration. We now look to see the extent of the new government’s resolve in addressing the matter and protecting the rights of the people. We are not satisfied with words; we are satisfied with actions.”
🕌Mawlana Abdol Hamid's Remarks Among the People of Qasemabad
✳️ Selected Remarks of Shaikh ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol Hamid during a Meeting with the People of Qasemabad Neighborhood in Zahedan at Masjid Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) / Friday Evening, November 15, 2024:👇
#Meeting with God
📌 “We were created with a grand purpose and a significant goal.” Allah Almighty reminds us that ultimately, all will return to Him. That day will be a sensitive and crucial one—a day that has shaken the hearts of the saints and bent their frames with humility.
📌 No one can be certain whether they have succeeded or failed in this worldly life. Will they bear the rights of others upon them, or will they be free and unburdened on their way to meet God? Blessed is the one upon whom no one’s rights weigh.
📌 Have one’s neighbors felt peace and comfort in one’s presence, or have they harbored grievances? Has one shown kindness to parents, or has one caused them grief? The supplications or curses of one’s parents can shape one’s destiny.
📌 Muslims should fear the day they stand in the presence of God. That is the day when it will become clear who has been accepted and who has been rejected. Has one fulfilled their prayers? Has one paid zakat on their wealth? Has one raised their children with proper guidance?
📌 Today, heedlessness is rampant in life. We have forgotten the grave and death. We must remember the throes of death and the grave and shed tears, for difficult days lie ahead, and we should never neglect the accountability we face.
📌 Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Prophet (peace be upon him) would pray at night, and his tears would sometimes overflow, waking them from sleep.
#Righteous Deeds
📌 On the journey to the hereafter, only “righteous deeds” accompany us. Reflect on goodness and righteous actions, and strive for the well-being of both your worldly life and the hereafter for your children.
📌 Allah loves the ranks of prayer. Pray in congregation in the mosque.
📌 Many devout people, despite illness and weakness, attend the mosque in wheelchairs to worship and serve Allah Almighty.
📌 The mosque is the house of God. A Muslim is a guest of God in the mosque, and God’s mercy descends upon them, forgiving their sins.
📌 Cooperate with the Tabligh congregations, as this cooperation leads to spiritual awakening and growth.
#Lying
📌 Have Muslims ever considered the severe dangers of sins? Grave sins can bring one to ruin and lead them to hell.
📌 Unfortunately, today, Muslims lie and take false oaths for trivial, fleeting gains. Lying brings God’s displeasure and anger and is one of the gravest sins.
📌 One must guard their tongue and refrain from speaking anything that contradicts Islamic law, preserving it from lies and false speech.
#Addiction
📌 Addiction is a devastating plague and a great misfortune that threatens both men and women in society, crippling lives and destroying families.
#Raising Children
📌 Children are your most valuable asset; do not lose them. On the Day of Judgment, they may even stand as witnesses, saying, “My parents brought me into this world but made no effort for my worldly or spiritual well-being.”
📌 Watch over your children and youth. Many young people find themselves in prison, guilty merely by association with a murderer, who has escaped and left the burden of the crime upon them.
📌 A righteous child is a source of pride and peace for parents, earning a lawful livelihood, caring for their parents, and in times of illness, lifting them upon their shoulders in efforts to bring them healing.
📌 A child is a blessing from God who honors and serves their parents with love.
📌 A virtuous child upholds and honors the family name, proving to be an invaluable treasure.
📌 Be mindful in caring for and raising your children so that they do not fall into sins and difficulties from which it would be hard to rescue them.
📌 Pray yourself and ensure your children observe their prayers. Encourage them toward knowledge, as education brings growth and success.
🔸 The 14th Government Should Employ “Capable” and “Trustworthy” Individuals; Special Attention Should Be Given to Qualified Women
Continuing his remarks, Mawlana Abdol Hamid referenced the verse from the Quran, "One of them said, 'O my father, hire him! Indeed, the best one you can hire is the strong and trustworthy.’” (Al-Qasas: 26). He explained that the Quran recounts the advice of Prophet Shu’ayb’s daughter to her father upon Prophet Musa’s arrival in Madyan, advising him to employ Musa for his strength and trustworthiness. God included this statement in the Quran to highlight that societies should be built on these principles, and that capable and trustworthy people should be appointed. Similarly, Prophet Yusuf said to the ruler of Egypt, “Appoint me over the storehouses of the land; indeed, I am a knowledgeable guardian.” (Yusuf: 55).
Mawlana Abdol Hamid emphasized that the 14th government should follow this Quranic guidance by hiring competent and trustworthy individuals, stressing that “meritocracy” should not be just a slogan but practiced sincerely. He added, “Trust someone even if they’re distant from you; when you bring them close, they’ll feel grateful and serve the government, system, and country wholeheartedly.” He also advocated special consideration for competent women, acknowledging that the government has already made some strides in this area.
He remarked that balance in meritocracy is essential: “It deeply troubles me to see that in incidents where officers are martyred, they’re all from one sect or group. We’ve repeatedly urged that all ethnicities and sects be represented in the armed forces so that, if martyred, they fall together. This would foster unity and closeness.”
🔸 Addressing People’s Problems is the “Best Policy”
Mawlana Abdol Hamid continued: “Attending to people’s issues is the greatest and best policy. Many services have been provided in the province and are appreciated, but due to the economic conditions, the poverty and issues here are so extensive that, when you visit, you might feel as though nothing has been done.” He added, “The strategy of listening to the legitimate demands of the people works nationwide. Iranians are discerning and understand the government’s constraints. ‘Relying on Allah Almighty’ and ‘trusting the people’ are the best solutions for addressing problems and challenges.”
🔸In Sistan and Baluchestan, Sectarian and Ethnic Differences Are Not an Issue; the People Support Unity and Reject Division
Representation of Diverse Groups in State Agencies and Offices Reduces Security Costs to Zero
Mawlana Abdol Hamid referred to the recent attack on a police patrol in the Taftan region, expressing deep sorrow over the incident. He said, “The recent incident in Goharkouh, Taftan, was extremely painful. Winning people’s hearts is the best way to prevent such occurrences. The government’s decision to appoint a Sunni Baloch as governor is a step in this direction.”
He added, “Sectarian or ethnic divisions aren’t issues in Sistan and Baluchestan. The people here share historical kinship and stand with each other in hardship. They support unity and dislike division, regardless of who promotes it. Thus, by including people from all backgrounds in various departments and agencies, security costs in the province can be reduced to zero, and the people themselves will maintain security.”
🔸 Continuing the Government’s Current Path Eases Resolving the Zahedan Incident
Mawlana Abdol Hamid noted, “If the government continues on this path, people will come together. The approach taken by the 14th government and the steps made in this direction will also facilitate resolving the incident that took place a few years ago in Zahedan. Mr. Pezeshkian and other officials are working on this matter.”
🔹 Addressing People’s Issues Reduces Security Costs
The Sunni Imam of Zahedan noted, "A movement has started to address inequalities, and we hope this will reach its goal. Additionally, efforts should be directed toward securing the Iranian nation’s interests. I was very pleased to hear that Dr. Pezeshkian ordered a house to be provided for the families who lost loved ones in the Tabas mining accident."
He added, "Recent actions aimed at reducing inequalities, and further measures that complement these efforts, will significantly reduce security costs in the country. Basic actions and addressing issues and demands will bring security expenses in Sistan and Baluchistan—bordering several countries—to near zero, ensuring the people’s satisfaction and support."
🔹The People Demand that Borders be Opened
Mawlana Abdol Hamid added, "The borders are closed, and many people in the province face challenges in making a livelihood. The people’s demand is for the borders to be reopened. We hope that the new government’s approach will help improve peace and security. Recent incidents, where security officers were martyred and innocent people lost their lives in other events, are painful for us."
🔹 People in Chabahar, Konarak, and Dashtiari Suffer from Water Shortages, Poor Healthcare, and Lack of Educational Facilities
In concluding his remarks, the Sunni Friday Prayer Imam of Zahedan, referring to his recent trip to southern Sistan and Baluchistan, highlighted some of the issues facing people in these areas. "In our recent trip to Chabahar, Konarak, and Dashtiari, we were deeply troubled by the severe water shortages, poor healthcare, and weak educational facilities in these regions."
He noted that these issues have worsened over time and called on Dr. Pezeshkian’s government and the relevant officials to address the problems facing the people.
