And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen. [Q.81:24]
The Prophet (ﷺ) did not withhold the knowledge of the unseen and there are numerous Hadiths from him that educate us about the unseen including matters pertaining to the Angels, Jinns, unknown matters of the past and present, future trials and tribulations, matters of the grave, and details of the Afterlife among others. Allah (ﷻ) explicitly mentions in the Qur’an that the Prophet (ﷺ) has been given knowledge which He (ﷻ) hasn’t revealed in the Qur’an and these can be found well preserved in Hadiths. These matters are revealed in the Qur'an but not all. What is not revealed was not withheld by the Prophet (ﷺ) and has come to us in Hadiths.
Isn't it interesting that so many things are just so obvious in the Qur'an and all we have to do is to just read it?

Fiqh of Ramadaan – 12/30 Things that Invalidate the Fast
http://ahlulisnaad.blogspot.com/2017/06/fiqh-of-ramadaan-1230-things-that.html
The same person has asked:
Why doesn't God manifest himself? Why do I have to look for signs and rattle my brain when all Allah has to do is show himself and I will believe especially when HE is asking me to enslave myself to HIM. And slavery isn't love its subjugation. etc.
This is a difficult question because one answer leads to another question and so on, which are more complicated. The bottom line is that life is a test. This answer raises the question as to why did Allah create us? There are some philosophical discussions on this such as 'the Creator creates'; however, the bottom line is that we don't know and cannot know for sure why Allah created us for test but what we do know (from the Qur'an) is that Allah asked us before sending us to earth. This memory was erased from us but we will get it back after we die. He asked us whether we would like free will and this worldly test, and we all agreed to it.
all Allah has to do is show himself and I will believe
That's what we think. The way a person denies the signs of the Creator when they are right in front of him, what makes him so sure that he will not deny the Creator when/if he sees Him? Qur'an is filled with such examples including those who asked to see Allah directly and yet denied Him later on. Signs are all around us and if one denies them, there are more chances that one will deny the One who gave the signs if they were to see Him; excuses can be plenty and one may claim that they were hypnotized or saw an illusion etc. I am pretty sure some of these magicians can make you see a giant hand coming out of the skies or the clouds; would that mean that we take the magician as a prophet and that hand as God? No.
HE is asking me to enslave myself to HIM.
He makes it sound as if it's a bad thing. Enslaving is not chaining up; 'do as thou wilt' is enslaving oneself to one's desires which can have influence of Satan so better to be enslaved by the Creator who wishes best for us and not the creation who does not know the distinction between good and bad, or right and wrong.
Other azkaar from the Sunnah that carry immense rewards:
- Reciting Surah al-Ikhlas 10 times - this should cover reciting it thrice as well as that has its own rewards in a separate Hadith
... and many more.
Stay tuned to qurananswers.me for some good updates coming soon Hopefully you will like what will be published on Eid day as Eid gift (two articles).

Establishing the beginning and end of the month of Ramadaan
http://ahlulisnaad.blogspot.com/2017/05/daily-fiqh-of-ramadaan-630-establishing.html
hey loved the commands of Allaah. So their souls were lead to its obligation in gradual steps. It became obligatory in the second year of Hijrah. When the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) died, he had fasted nine Ramadaans in total ([6]).
Obligation of fasting had three stages:
*The First Stage was its being obligated with the option of fasting or feeding a needy person:*
Due to the saying of Allaah:
{يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُون * أَيَّامًا مَّعْدُودَاتٍ فَمَن كَانَ مِنكُم مَّرِيضًا أَوْ عَلَى سَفَرٍ فَعِدَّةٌ مِّنْ أَيَّامٍ أُخَرَ وَعَلَى الَّذِينَ يُطِيقُونَهُ فِدْيَةٌ طَعَامُ مِسْكِينٍ فَمَن تَطَوَّعَ خَيْرًا فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّهُ وَأَن تَصُومُواْ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُون}
{O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous - [Fasting for] a limited number of days. So whoever among you is ill or on a journey [during them] - then an equal number of days [are to be made up]. And upon those who are able [to fast, but with hardship] - a ransom [as substitute] of feeding a poor person [each day]. And whoever volunteers excess - it is better for him. But to fast is best for you, if you only knew. } ([7])
And it is narrated from Salamah bin al-Akwa’ (radiallah anhu) that he said:
((لمّا نزلت: {وَعَلَى الَّذِينَ يُطِيقُونَهُ فِدْيَةٌ طَعَامُ مِسْكِينٍ} كان من أراد أن يفطر ويفتدي حتى نزلت الآية التي بعدها فنسختها))
((When this verse was revealed {And as for those who can fast with difficulty, they have (a choice either to fast or) to feed a miskeen (poor person) (for every day)}. Those among us who did not want to fast would pay the fidyah, until the verse after it was revealed and abrogated this.))
And in the report of Muslim,
((We, during the period of the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ), used to (observe fast with a choice). He who wished to fast lasted and he who wished to break broke it and fed a needy person as an expiation until this verse was revealed: {He who witnesses among you the month (of Ramadaan) he should observe fast during it} [Al-Baqarah: 185] )) ([8])
And it is narrated from Ibn Umar (radiallah anhu) that:
"أنه قرأ: (فدية طعام مساكين) قال: «هي منسوخة»"
“He recited the verse: {a ransom to feed the poor (for every day)} and said: ((This is abrogated))” ([9])
Haafidh Ibn Hajar (rahimahullah) said under this hadeeth:
((قوله: ((قال هي منسوخة)) هوصريح في دعوى النسخ، ورجحه ابن المنذر من جهة قوله: {وَأَن تَصُومُواْ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ} قال: لأنها لو كانت في الشيخ الكبير الذي لايطيق الصيام لم يناسب أن يقال له: {وَأَن تَصُومُواْ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ} مع أنه لايطيق الصيام))
((His saying that it is abrogated is quite clear in the claim of abrogation. And this is what Ibn al-Mundhir has also favored arguing based on the verse: {And to fast is best for you}. He said: Had this ruling been only for the elderly Shaykh who is incapable of fasting (as some have said) then it is not appropriate that it is said to him: {And to fast is best for you} because of the fact that he is incapable of doing it.)) ([10])
And Shaykh Sa’eed al-Qahtaani said, I heard our Shaykh Ibn Baaz (rahimahullah) saying:
((والصواب أن الآية منسوخة))
((The correct opinion is that this verse is abrogated)) ([11])
And Allaah knows best ([12]).
Moreover, what further strengthens the fact that this verse is abrogated is the hadeeth of Ibn Abi Layla who said:
((حدثنا أصحاب محمد - صلى الله عليه وسلم - لما نزل رمضان فشق عليهم فكان من أطعم كل يوم مسكيناً ترك الصوم ممن يُطيقه ورُخص لهم في ذلك فنسختها {وَأَن تَصُومُواْ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ} فأمروا بالصيام))
((The Companions of Muhammad ﷺ narrated to us, when the ruling of (fasting) Ramadaan was revealed, it was difficult for them, so whoever among them could afford to feed a poor for each day, he avoided fasting even though it was not hard on him, but still they were given the concession

Fiqh of Ramadaan – 13/30
Conditions for the fast to be invalidated
http://ahlulisnaad.blogspot.com/2017/06/fiqh-of-ramadaan-1330-conditions-for.html
Regarding the mi'raj, it is asked: Does the incident of mi'raj mean that Allah didn't know that humans cannot pray 50 times a day but Musa (as) knew?
This is wrong and there are a number of important lessons in it for us:
- Allah definitely knew. It was done this way so Allah could demonstrate His mercy to us
- Islam is not just about the last Prophet (s). We love and respect them all (a.s.) and the fact that Musa (a.s.) had a say in our Deen for us gives us more right to him than others. We don't do us vs. them for Messengers; we only do us and us. They are all ours.
- Allah multiplies the good deeds by 10 times and He revealed it in the Qur'an as well and so this bringing down from 50 to five was predestined.
- The Prophet (s) got to meet Musa (a.s.) and Allah again.
And a lot more...
An atheist has asked as to how one can explain Burraq (Al Mairaj). The claim seems preposterous to them as how can such a creature exist.
Burraq is not an earthly animal. In fact, such a creature is not even that difficult to imagine even with our limited physics. If we cannot even think of a new colour by ourselves, how can we think that our physics is the only possibility? Can one imagine two right sides to a thing? No. Physics (and other sciences) beyond this world are not even comprehensible to us and so mocking something we (humanity) have not reached, and may never reach, is not only unwise but also arrogant.
Reward coincides with deeds
The one who frees a slave will be freed from the fire of hell, so utter Tahleel (la ilaaha illallaah) one hundred times daily it will count as freeing ten slaves.
"They said, 'We are missing the king's goblet. Whoever brings it shall receive a camel's load; that I guarantee.'" [12: 72]
There's something very fascinating about the story of Yusuf (AS). Certain things that were negative at the beginning of Yusuf(AS)'s life and which he had no control over, come back at the end but this time in a good light with him given control and power over it. Take the fact that his brothers threw him into a well; a place holding water, and this was a plot they devised as a team to get rid of him. In the end, Yusuf (AS) devised his own plan to get his beloved brother back by using the king's cup; an instrument which holds water (the symbolism here shouldn't escape you!) and which caused the brothers stress and divided them.
Consider Yusuf (AS)'s shirt that the brothers doused in sheep's blood in order to hurt their father and cut off his heart and hope from Yusuf. In the end, Yusuf (AS) used his own shirt which not only brought back his father's sight, but also removed the hurt and despair in his heart and reconnected them. Consider the fact that as a boy, Yusuf (AS) was bought as a slave with mere coins but just a few years later, he is the financial minister and no-one could dare put a value on him. Instead they all humbled themselves to him as a master of his field.
This is not just a story and these are not just coincidences that Allah is mentioning. He is teaching us realities that He's set in the life of this world. A negative thing that happens in your life may very well open up doors of positivity later on. Something that you've no control over may soon fall within your control and you get to use it for your benefit. Life is dynamic and constantly changing, tables turn and events come back on themselves and arrive on your shores again. You may not have had control before, but now you do. You may not have known what to do before, but now you do. As Yusuf (AS) says later on, O Allah You are the Originator of the Universe... You return and repeat things. O Allah bless us with the understanding and ability to do what You want us to do and is beneficial for us in this life and the Next, ameen.

to do that. Later the verse {And to fast is best for you} abrogated this and they were commanded to fast)) ([13])
Ibn Hajar said: ((This was in the beginning of the matter according to the majority, later it was abrogated and the fidyah became a ransom only for those who are incapable of fasting)) ([14]).
*The Second Stage: Fasting was made compulsory*
Due to the saying of Allaah:
{فَمَن شَهِدَ مِنكُمُ الشَّهْرَ فَلْيَصُمْهُ}
{So whoever sights [the new moon of] the month, let him fast it} ([15])
In the second stage, only the fasting was allowed, but if the person fasting slept before breaking his fast, he was forbidden from eating and drinking until the following night ([16]).
*The Third Stage: Fasting was made compulsory but the previous condition was abrogated:*
Meaning, the second stage was abrogated by the third, and the fasting remained obligatory from the true dawn to the setting of the sun. And this is the stage at which the Religion has settled with until the Day of Judgement ([17]).
Hence it is narrated from al-Bara’ bin ‘Aazib (radiallah anhu) that he said:
((It was the custom among the companions of Muhammad that if any of them was fasting and the food was presented (for breaking his fast), but he slept before eating, he would not eat that night and the following day till sunset. Qais bin Sirma-al-Ansari was fasting and came to his wife at the time of Iftar (breaking one's fast) and asked her whether she had anything to eat. She replied, "No, but I would go and bring some for you." He used to do hard work during the day, so he was overwhelmed by sleep and slept. When his wife came and saw him, she said, "Disappointment for you." When it was midday on the following day, he fainted and the Prophet (ﷺ) was informed about the whole matter and the following verses were revealed: "You are permitted To go to your wives (for sexual relation) At the night of fasting." So, they were overjoyed by it. And then Allah also revealed: "And eat and drink Until the white thread Of dawn appears to you Distinct from the black thread (of the night)." (2.187))) ([18])

*Daily Fiqh of Ramadaan – 5/30 Ruling on the Fasting of Ramadaan and the stages of its obligation*
===============================
*First:*
Fasting the month of Ramadaan is obligatory based on the Qur’aan, Sunnah & Ijmaa’ upon every Muslim, Adult, Intellectually Sound, Capable, and Resident individual, free from any obstacles.
*Evidence from the Qur’aan*
Allaah (swt) said:
{يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُون}
{O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous} ([1])
And He (swt) said:
{شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ الَّذِيَ أُنزِلَ فِيهِ الْقُرْآنُ هُدًى لِّلنَّاسِ وَبَيِّنَاتٍ مِّنَ الْهُدَى وَالْفُرْقَانِ فَمَن شَهِدَ مِنكُمُ الشَّهْرَ فَلْيَصُمْهُ}
{The month of Ramadhan [is that] in which was revealed the Qur'an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion. So whoever sights [the new moon of] the month, let him fast it.} ([2])
*Evidence from the Sunnah*
The hadeeth of Abdullah bin Umar (radiallah anhu) who narrates that the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) said:
((بُني الإسلامُ على خمس: شهادة أن لا إله إلا الله وأن محمداً رسول الله، وإقام الصلاة، وإيتاء الزكاة، وصوم رمضان، وحج البيت))
((Islaam is built on five (pillars): Testifying that there is no god but Allaah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allaah, establishing the Prayer, giving the Zakaah, fasting the month of Ramadaan, and doing Hajj of the House (Ka’bah))) ([3])
And the hadeeth of Talhah bin Ubaydullah (radiallah anhu) who narrates:
((A Bedouin with unkempt hair came to Allaah's Messenger (ﷺ) and said, "O Allaah's Messenger (ﷺ), Tell me what Allaah has enjoined on me with regards to the prayers." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "You have to offer perfectly the five (compulsory) prayers in a day and a night (24 hrs.), except if you want to perform some extra optional prayers." The Bedouin said, "Tell me what Allaah has enjoined on me with regards to the fasting." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "You have to observe fast during the month of Ramadaan except if you fast some extra optional fast." The Bedouin said, "Tell me what Allaah has enjoined on me with regard to the Zakaat." The Prophet (ﷺ) then told him the Islamic laws and regulations whereupon the Bedouin said, "By Him Who has honored you, I will not perform any optional deeds of worship and I will not leave anything of what Allaah has enjoined on me." Allaah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "He will be successful if he has told the truth (or he will enter Paradise if he said the truth).")) ([4])
And several other similar ahadeeth.
*Evidence from the Ijmaa’ (Consensus)*
All of the Muslims are unanimously agreed upon the obligation of the fasting of the month of Ramadaan. And they also unanimously agree that whoever denies its obligation has left the fold of Islaam, except when a person is ignorant due to being new to the religion of Islaam. So when he comes to know of it and still persists on denying it then he becomes a disbeliever, because he renounced a matter established through the Qur’aan, the Sunnah and is known from the religion by necessity (Ma’loom min ad-Deen bidh-Dharoorah i.e. known by every Muslim Scholar or layman) ([5]).
*Second:*
*Stages and Phases of the Obligation of Fasting*
Since restraining the soul from what it loves and desires is from the most difficult and hardest of things, its obligation was delayed until the middle of Islaam, after the Hijrah. This was at the point when the Tawheed and the Prayer had become firmly established in the souls of the Muslims and when t
