Perhaps He will send You back to the Sea
Allah says,
Or do you feel secure,
`you who turn away from Us after acknowledging Our Oneness at sea once you are back upon dry land,'
that He will not send you back a second time to sea
and send against you a Qasif,
which will destroy your masts and sink your vessels.
Ibn Abbas and others said,
"Al-Qasif is the wind of the sea which destroys vessels and sinks them."
and drown you because of your disbelief,
means because of your rejection and turning away from Allah.
Then you will not find any avenger therein against Us.
Ibn Abbas said that this means a helper.
Mujahid said,
"A helper who will avenge you,"
i.e., take revenge on your behalf.
Qatadah said it means,
"We are not afraid that anyone will pursue Us with anything of that nature (i.e., vengeance).

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas [radhiy Allahu 'anhu]: Once I was behind the Prophet (ﷺ) and he said: "O boy, I will teach you a few words:
a) Be loyal and obedient to Allah [worship Him (Alone)], remember Him always, obey His Orders. He will save you from every evil and will take care of you in all the spheres of life.
b) Be loyal and obedient to Allah, you will find Him near (in front of you), i.e. He will respond to your requests.
c) If you ask, ask Allah.
d) If you seek help, seek help from Allah.
e) Know that if all the people get together in order to benefit you with something, they will not be able to benefit you in anything except what Allah has decreed for you. And if they all get together in order to harm you with something, they will not be able to harm you in anything except what Allah has decreed for you. The pens have stopped writings [Divine (Allah's) Preordainments]. And (the ink over) the papers (Book of Decrees) have dried."
(This Hadith is quoted from Sahih At-Tirmidhi)
It is imperative for us to make time to take ourselves to account. Analysing our lives, where are we falling short, weeping over our sins, because weeping with regret in this life is what will lead us to seeking forgiveness for our sins, and us rectifying ourselves inshā-Allāh.

Ash-Shuʿarāʾ, Ayah 168
Shaykh ʿAbd ar-Raḥmān Ibn Nāṣir as-Saʿdī رحمه الله (d. 1376H) said in his Tafsīr of this verse:

In his tafsir of Surah al-Kahf, Ibn Kathir said:
“Allah informs us regarding the people of the cave in order for us to understand and ponder over their story. However, He does not inform us about the location of the cave because there is no benefit in that knowledge for us.”
Also, he said:
“The people differed into a number of opinions regarding the colour of the dog yet did so without proof. Moreover, there is no need to know this. Rather, it is from the forbidden things because it is guessing regarding the ghayb (unseen).”

2. I heard, and he didn’t hear
3. I know, and he doesn’t know
This encompasses every statement made without knowledge...

All that occurs to Mankind is by Allah's Permission
Allah informs us as He did in Surah Al-Hadid,
No calamity occurs on the earth or in yourselves but it is inscribed in a record before We bring it into existence. Verily, that is easy for Allah. (57:22)
Allah said here,
No calamity occurs, but by the permission of Allah,
Ibn Abbas said;
"By the command of Allah," meaning from His decree and will.
and whosoever believes in Allah, He guides his heart. And Allah is the All-Knower of everything.
meaning, whoever suffered an affliction and he knew that it occurred by Allah's judgement and decree, and he patiently abides, awaiting Allah's reward, then Allah guides his heart, and will compensate him for his loss in this life by granting guidance to his heart and certainty in faith. Allah will replace whatever he lost for Him with the same or what is better.
Ali bin Abi Talhah reported from Ibn `Abbas,
(and whosoever believes in Allah, He guides his heart).
"Allah will guide his heart to certainty. Therefore, he will know that what reached him would not have missed him and what has missed him would not have reached him."
There is an agreed upon Hadith that Al-Bukhari and Muslim collected and which states,
Amazing is the believer:
There is no decree that Allah writes for him, but is better for him.
- If an affliction strikes him, he is patient and this is better for him.
- If a bounty is granted to him, he is thankful and this is better for him.
This trait is only for the faithful believer.

Does not the Punishment of Allah come on Land too
Allah says,
Do you then feel secure that He will not cause a side of the land to swallow you up, or that He will not send against you a Hasib!
Allah says, do you think that by emerging onto dry land you will be safe from His vengeance and punishment, that a side of the land will not swallow you up or He will not send against you a Hasib - which is a kind of rain that carries stones.
This was the view of Mujahid and others.
As Allah says:
Verily, We sent against them, except the family of Lut, them We saved in the last hour of the night, As a favor from Us. (54:34-35)
Elsewhere, Allah says:
and We rained on them stones of Sijjil, in a well-arranged manner one after another.
Do you feel secure that He, Who is over the heaven (Allah), will not cause the earth to sink with you, and then it should quake Or do you feel secure that He, Who is over the heaven (Allah), will not send against you a Hasib! Then you shall know how (terrible) has been My warning. (67:16-17)
Then, you shall find no guardian.
no helper to turn the punishment away from you and save you

Allāh Replaces Sins with Good Deeds When You Repent
Shaykh Uthaymīn (rahimahullāh) in explanation of verse 12 in Al-Hujurāt:
Repentance (tawbah) from the servant is to move from disobeying Allāh to obeyingHim. And repentance from Allāh means that Allāh accepts the repentance of the servant and subsequently exchanges his sins for good deeds.

Regarding Surah Ibraheem, verses 35-36:
And he knew that there would come from his children many Prophets, and with this he feared(Shirk for them). How can we secure regarding ourselves?
(Oh Charger of the Hearts, make our hearts firm upon Your Religion.) The Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said this, and he taught his Companions to say this, (yet) we currently act as if we have a guarantee that we won't fall into Shirk or hypocrisy.

The Qur’aan And The Season Of Spring
The Messenger [ﷺ] said in a Dua:
❝Make the Qur’aan like the season of spring in my heart and light of my chest.❞
-
Ibn Al-Qayyim [رحمه الله] said:
❝The season of spring: it is the rain which gives life to the earth. The Qur’aan is resembled with the season of spring due to the hearts given life with the Qur’aan.❞

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to Abu Musa al Ash’ari,
“If only you could have seen me whilst I was listening to your recitation (of the Qur’an) last night. Verily, you have been given an instrument like the instruments of the family of Dawud.”
Abu Musa said, “Had I known that (you were listening), I would have beautified it for you further.”
