In a recent security breach, the popular YouTube channel Linus Tech Tips was hacked by a malicious actor who used ChatGPT-4 to promote a cryptocurrency scam.
The hacker managed to gain access to the account and take control of its videos, comments, and other content.
Linus Tech Tips is one of the most well-known tech channels on YouTube with over 11 million subscribers.
It is hosted by Linus Sebastian, who provides reviews and tutorials on computer hardware and software.
The hacker took advantage of the popularity of this channel to promote their own cryptocurrency scam using ChatGPT-4.
ChatGPT-4 is an artificial intelligence system that can generate natural language responses based on user input.
THIS technology has been used in various online scams as it allows hackers to create convincing conversations with unsuspecting victims in order to persuade them into investing in fraudulent projects or services.
The hacker managed to post several comments under some of Linus Tech Tips’ videos that contained links leading users directly to their website where they could purchase tokens for their cryptocurrency scam project called “Aura Token”. Additionally, they also posted some tweets from the account which further promoted their fraudulent project.
Fortunately, Linus Sebastian was quick enough to detect this attack and immediately disabled commenting on his videos as well as deleting all suspicious tweets from his account before any serious damage could be done.
He then proceeded with reporting this incident directly to YouTube so that they could investigate further into it and take appropriate action against the malicious actor involved in this incident if necessary.
Fortunately no personal data or funds were stolen during this attack but it serves as a reminder for everyone using online platforms like YouTube how important it is for us all stay vigilant when browsing websites or engaging with strangers online as there are always individuals out there looking for ways exploit our trust for personal gain .
Do Kwon, the founder of Terra, a blockchain-based payment platform, was reportedly arrested in Montenegro on suspicion of fraud.
Kwon is accused of defrauding investors out of $25 million in a cryptocurrency scam.
According to reports, Kwon was arrested with two other individuals on June 5th after an investigation by the Financial Crime Investigation Unit (FCIU) and the Central Bank of Montenegro.
The three men are believed to have been involved in a fraudulent scheme to dupe investors into investing in their cryptocurrency project called “Terra”.
Terra was created as an alternative payment platform for digital currency transactions using blockchain technology.
It was designed to facilitate peer-to-peer payments and enable merchants to accept digital currency payments without having to convert them into fiat currency first.
However, it appears that Kwon and his associates were using the project as an opportunity to defraud unsuspecting investors out of their money instead.
The FCIU’s investigation revealed that Terra had been operating without proper registration or authorization from Montenegrin authorities and had also failed to provide adequate security measures for its users’ funds. Furthermore, it appears that some of the funds raised through Terra were used for personal gain by its founders rather than being invested back into developing the project further as promised.
Kwon is currently being held at a prison in Podgorica while investigations continue into his alleged crimes against Montenegrin citizens who may have been affected by his fraudulent activities.
If found guilty he could face up to 10 years behind bars according to local laws governing financial crimes such as fraud and embezzlement.
This case serves as yet another reminder about why it is important for investors interested in cryptocurrencies or blockchain projects do their due diligence before committing any money towards them; especially when dealing with unregistered entities like Terra which lack any form of oversight or regulation from government authorities or financial institutions alike
