that depends on device and what you have available. Personally my old razer 2 had nothing but lineage, so that was all i could use, now im on nubia redmagic 8 pro without root, and dont really have a need to root because it's already god tier.
I would suggest only using rom/kernel by educated dev who doesnt put any bullshit "tweak scripts" or "oc kernels" etc
maybe you could get better results on another combo, but im not exactly certain, you are free to try if you'd like but if it isnt hurting performance that much i wouldnt worry about it
