While I agree we need better Defi in Tezos, defi users are not the only users of the chain. New people join the ecosystem every day especially in the art scene. Just because those other areas might not be interesting to you it doesn't mean that it's "dying". I get the frustration but honestly the "Tezos is dead" thing is getting old imo.

I know we have less active users than base, we don't have one of the biggest exchanges in the space behind us though so it's hard to compare to such a business oriented centralized chain. But saying no one uses tezos is an exaggeration imo. Again it's mostly art related but there is a lot of activity happening in the ecosystem. Art things don't generate the same amount of txs etc like defi though so it's definitely not the same.

Seriously, unfortunatly, and I am sad about it!! You know how much I was committed!! Every hackathon i go no one, i say no one uses Tezos…and worst, ppl are leaving the ecosystem…and no one is coming!! Next project I am working on with a team is on Base and i tried hard to convince them to go on Tezos…no one wanted because no users!! So i had to give up and say ok to go on Base!! Which has users!!

The phrase “Tezos is dead” is not old, because it is becoming more and more dead every day. If you look at the TG groups, the same 30 people write, when 2 years ago there was more movement. The price of the token is getting lower and lower. More and more development teams are leaving Tezos. In Etherlink, 3 or 4 dapps have left in a month.

It won't die, it will simply only be used by people who are employed by companies that live off TF subsidies. A couple of years ago there were 200 defi users, today I think there are about 30 of us, I don't know if there will be any more users by 2027. Etherlink died before it was launched.
