Rostec's newest floating armoured personnel carrier enters state trials.

State tests of the BT-3F ("БТ-3Ф") floating armoured personnel carrier, which was created by Kurganmashzavod of the holding High-Precision Complexes and the Special Design Bureau of Machine Building (SKBM), will start soon.

BT-3F was presented for the first time at the II International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2016".

Reportedly, to monitor the terrain and aim, the combat module is equipped with a tele-thermal imaging sight with a laser rangefinder. In the future, it is possible to install almost any remote-controlled module with 12.7 mm, 14.5 mm or 40 mm automatic grenade launcher machine guns.

The combat crew of the vehicle consists of a commander, assistant commander and driver.

The total combat weight of the armored vehicle is 18.5 tons. Mobility characteristics are the same as those of the BMP-3 (the vehicle is based on it)

To set up smoke screens for camouflage purposes, there is a smoke grenade launch system and thermal smoke equipment.

It can carry up 12 troops.

Albert Speer is undoubtedly the greatest figure of the Third Reich.

This would have resulted in decades later in a more sovereign Europe against the Anglo-Saxons.

In the last 15 weeks of Hitler's life we have at least 20 references from various first-hand sources to Hitler saying similar things, apart from the vast amount of material evidence that exists. We also have many first-hand sources putting forward similar ideas even before things went really wrong.

I have sometimes joked with the idea of a "German racial inferiority" but I have no doubt that Hitler really thought so in his final stage, since he posed the war as a racial conflict which he lost. Also more than 20 years earlier in his book he said:

If a people refuses to guard and uphold the qualities with which it has been endowed by Nature and which have their roots in the racial blood, then such a people has no right to complain over the loss of its earthly existence.

FABs and electronic warfare.

At the moment, there is no electronic warfare system that would effectively suppress the navigation system of KABs. Here, by KAB I mean FAB500+UMPC.

If someone shows you KABs in the fields that have been "shot down by EW," you should know that there have always been such KABs that have not exploded everywhere since the beginning of their use. It was from them that Komets geolocation systems in good condition were taken.

To affect the navigation system, the bomb needs to go through the CRPA protection. Pure physics is at work here. When the KAB had a 4 element antenna, AFU was able to work against them with electronic warfare. Realising this, our people switched to 8 elements since the end of autumn and continued to work on CRPA algorithms.

Now the AFU needs 5-7 sources of interference distributed around the KAB destination.

Can this be done technically?
Yes, it is possible. To do this, the frontline zone 10 km in depth needs to be covered with a grid of navigation jamming points, each with a power of 50-100 watts and a circular antenna.
This process complicates the need to install a third of the devices literally from scratch.

In practice, keeping enough systems (both deployed and running), working at the right frequencies, with the right power, at the same time is an extremely complicated task.
On the other hand, Russia has a highly effective electronic warfare system, which is obviously not perfect, but here we have an incredible advantage over NATO in terms of complexity, diversity and number of systems that allow us to interfere on many occasions with their JDAM and other geopositioned systems.

An interesting video of the pilots of a Su-34.

The aircraft is very well thought out for long missions, as without being a bomber it has space for the pilots to stretch their legs and even a toilet.
This is a major factor in keeping the pilots effective even on extremely long missions.

In the video we see that the auto-pilot is driving the aircraft. It should be noted that the autopilot can also function in the mode of terrain envelopment according to the Sh-141 Predator ("Ш-141 Хищник") radar at altitudes of about 70 metres.

In addition to the possibility of striking ground targets with UMPC, Kh-38ML/MA/MT/MK, Kh-59MK2 missiles, as well as long-range air combat by means like the R-77-1 and R-27ER at ranges up to 120 km (this is the range at which the Sh-141 Predator radar can detect targets with a RCS of about 3 sq. m.).

The upgraded M variant will receive hardware and software adaptation to the use of containerised radar (UKR-RL) ("УКР-РЛ"), radio-technical (UKR-RT) ("УКР-РТ") and optoelectronic (UKR-OE) ("УКР-ОЭ") reconnaissance systems of the Sych ("Сыч") family, after which the Su-34M will become the most multifunctional tactical aircraft system in the history of the Russian and other countries air forces/air forces.

The subsonic Kh-35U multirole tactical missile with modernised radar system "Gran-K" ("Грань-К") successfully strikes another observation radar of the metre wave range P-18 "Terek". Apparently, a combined mode of radar operation was used, providing for radiation direction finding from the P-18 radar at a distance of 35-10km

The enemy lost the ability to see the high-altitude sectors of airspace (10000 - 15000 m) in the Azov operational direction at a distance of up to 230 km.

The question is: Why do we need a relatively lightly armoured tracked APC with the ability to swim?

The new BTR-3F is either a fat motorbike (MTLB) or an analogue of the BTR-MDM "Rakushka" ("БТР-МДМ Ракушка") for the Airborne Forces.

On the other hand, it has good mobility characteristics and a quite large internal volume. The components are mostly those of the BMP-3, so that mass production can take place quickly.
As an amphibious landing craft, it seems in general that it will not be successful.
But at some point the stock of MT-LBs that perform a multitude of non-combat tasks will run out. In that field, the vehicle could be useful if it can be produced fast and cheap.

As with the BMP-3, additional armour can be added, it is likely that the same additional armour can be used and a unified production also of this can be set up, which would be an improvement over the MT-LBs.

It would be interesting to be able to create a single rear hatch instead of two with the iron in between, a feature it shares with the BMP-3.
In this way, the large internal volume could be used to accommodate medical stretchers for evacuation and treatment, which in the current configuration have a difficult exit-entry from the vehicle.

PROPAGANDA!

Right now there is another event taking place where you can easily see who is an account you can honestly unfollow, with little of value to offer and more focused on presenting a story than facts.

I am referring to the ATACMS attack in Crimea.
An ATACMS exploded over, or close to a beach in Crimea, so far we are talking about 3 civilian deaths and a large number of wounded.

Obviously this is the result of Russian air defences working on the final stages of the trajectory of the ballistic missile. In total 4 missiles were launched, 3 shot down in time and 1 in the final phase.

1 - Ukraine is not going to waste an ATACMS on harming beach goers.
2 - If the attack had really been on the beach, we would be talking about dozens of dead, not 3, although the number could go up.

This is all extremely funny, as yesterday we saw the same event happen but from the opposite side:

The air defence "partially" protected the target, detonating things, in densely populated areas inevitably leads to deaths.
The same laws of physics and logic apply to Russia and Ukraine.

Some military experts assure that the KAB (FAB500+UPMC) has a standard mechanical fuse. At first it was so. The first photo that appeared of the kit more than a year ago show it (photo 4).

But, obviously, our engineers faced with a large percentage of unexploded FABs, because the FAB is designed to fall downwards with the fuze, and the UMPC changes the flight path and the fuze does not hit the ground, they ended up buried in loose soil.

That's why the FAB-UMPCs were equipped with a second detonation circuit. You can see it in the photos 1,2 and 3. The wire from the detonator is connected to the kit.

Where do they get the signal to detonate? I'm guessing from the 3 axis accelerometer in the UMPC. There's no other sensors in there.

So a KAB with a double detonation circuit will explode on impact anyway in almost all cases.

The combat stage of a high-speed 2-stage 57E6 Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft guided missile with a speed of about 850 metres per second strikes a Ukrainian long-range kamikaze UAV "Lyuty" on the close approaches to Yaroslavl.

As we can see, a proper terrain-optimised dispersal of Russian air defence systems with appropriate echeloning as part of zonal-objective air defence systems is quite capable of ensuring timely interception of such high-speed enemy air attack vehicles.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in the rear cockpit of the modernized Su-27UBM1

About the rather rare two-seat Su-27UB or modernised Su-27UBM1, which found itself in the sight of the Iskander:

The presence of a navigator-operator ensured a fairly good crew relief during prolonged low-altitude missions using AGM-88B anti-radar missile, as well as higher efficiency in low-altitude cruise missile interception missions involving highly manoeuvrable short-range missiles with the R-73RDM-2 missile.

Moreover, the Su-27UBM1 modification envisages upgrading the information field of the pilot and navigator-operator cockpits with the integration of additional information-diagnostic modules.
According to some reports, the H001 radar of this vehicle was also upgraded to the H001VEB level and received a "bypass channel" for air-to-surface operation, while the range of target detection with a 3 square metre RCS was increased to 140 km.

It is also known that the UBM1 modification was hardware-software adapted to the use of R-77 air-to-air missiles with active radar and a range of 70-80 km (the latter could have been purchased from the Indian or Indonesian Air Forces by the Western Defence Forces in the interests of the AFU). In performing air-to-air missions, the Su-27UBM1's performance matches that of the Su-27SM and the exported Su-30M2.

In any case, the Iskander-M hit a very high-priority target.
