Robert Sarah, a life marked by charity, faith and resistance to communism.

Robert Sarah was born in 1945 in Ourous, a small village in Guinea, into a deeply Catholic family. His childhood was spent in a traditional African society, marked by rural life, spirituality and community. From an early age, Sarah felt the call to the priesthood and was sent as a seminarian to Africa and later to Europe.

In 1958, Guinea became the first French colony in sub-Saharan Africa to become independent, under the leadership of Ahmed Sékou Touré, who imposed a Marxist-Leninist regime inspired by the Soviet model. Communist doctrine permeated all aspects of Guinean life: expropriations, rationing, persecution of the Christian faith, closure of hospitals and Catholic schools, repression of priests and kidnapping of religious.

The young priest Sarah, then one of the few ordained Catholics in the country, had to exercise his ministry under constant surveillance, knowing that any misinterpreted word or gesture could cost him his freedom or his life. But despite communist repression, Sarah did not renounce his faith and continued to preach, visiting communities in secret to offer comfort to the faithful.

In 1979, in a context still marked by the hostility of the regime, he was appointed archbishop of Conakry at the age of 34, the youngest in the world at the time. Since then, his voice has become a reference not only for the Catholics of Guinea, but for all those who lived under the yoke of communism.

‘I lived under a Marxist regime. The Church was persecuted. I don't want anyone else to live through that,’ she said years later publicly, and in 2015, during the Synod on the Family, Sarah compared communist ideology to one of the “two beasts of the Apocalypse”.

In her works, ‘God or Nothing’ or ‘It's Getting Late and Getting Dark’, she condemns all forms of Marxism, even that which masquerades as social compassion, and asserts that social justice without God becomes tyranny.

Entry holes from shrapnel found on the skin of the Embraer passenger plane that crashed in Aktau last morning.

This is clearly not the result of a gas cylinder or a collision with a flock of birds. Surviving passengers of the plane also vied with each other to tell about the explosion.

"For the third time, something exploded. There was an explosion - I wouldn't say it was inside the plane . Where I was sitting, the paneling next to me flew off - RT quotes passenger Subhonkul Rakhimov as saying."

Another passenger, Zaur Mamedov, said he heard a couple of explosions . A third passenger also noted an explosion in the tail section and shrapnel throughout the cabin .

It should be noted that morning another attack by Ukrainian drones was launched on Grozny, and this flight was supposed to land in the capital of Chechnya, but abruptly diverted to an alternate airfield in Aktau, where it crashed.

The only version that comes to mind is the most plausible one: that the moment of landing of the crashed passenger Embraer coincided with the moment of the attack by Ukrainian drones, and as a consequence, the work of the air defense.

With the beginning of the SMO, all border civilian airfields were closed, but air harbors within Russia continued to function, since the enemy did not have weapons capable of covering hundreds and thousands of kilometers.

Now, everything has long since changed and Ukrainian kamikaze drones, including those the size of light aircraft, are traveling thousands of kilometers, hitting targets deep in Russian territory. However, this has not affected the operation of airfields.

It is quite possible that yesterday's tragedy is a consequence of such carelessness.
But one way or another, it is necessary to hear the crew's negotiations with the ground, as well as the commission's conclusions.

The most important question now is why the Grozny airport was not closed for arrivals and departures at all, if there was information about flying drones.
