The torn-off turret of a Georgian T-72B tank (tactical number 406) from the Gori Independent Tank Battalion.

The tank was destroyed in the afternoon of August 8, between 13:00 and 14:00, in Tskhinvali at the intersection of Moskovskaya Street and Privokzalnaya (now Peacemakers Street), by a detachment led by General Barankevich — Secretary of the Security Council of South Ossetia.

As a result of an RPG-7 hit, the ammunition detonated, and the tank was blown apart. The turret flew several dozen meters and pierced the reinforced concrete canopy of the Trade Union Council building.

It was later preserved as a memorial during the building’s restoration.
The entire tank crew is officially listed as missing in action.

❗️⚡️Specialists from the company ZALA have significantly redesigned the command and telemetry control modules of the ZALA 421-16E HD optical-electronic reconnaissance and target designation UAVs, as well as the strike “kamikaze” UAVs "Lancet" ("Product-52") and "Lancet-3" ("Product-51"), expanding their operating frequency ranges.

It is also likely that additional pseudo-random frequency hopping (FHSS) modes have been introduced, which significantly increased the jamming resistance of these systems.

Similar measures may have also been applied to the video transmission modules from the optical-electronic sensors to the relays and combat control centers.

Standard frequency ranges for controlling the "Lancet" UAVs:

– 868–870 MHz — The main range used for transmitting commands from the operator and returning telemetry from the UAV.

– 902–928 MHz — Backup frequency, which may be present in the control channel, but it has not been possible to detect a signal on this frequency during confirmed UAV usage due to jamming.


Video link characteristics in the standard modification:

– The onboard equipment of the UAV allows operation in the 1900–2700 MHz range, but video signals from the "Lancet" UAV have not been observed outside the 2200–2400 MHz range.

– Video signal bandwidth: 4 MHz, with a rectangular spectral shape.

The updated ZALA Z-16 and Lancet/-3 have been offered to the Russian National Guard (Rosgvardiya), OMON, SOBR, etc.

Vladimir Vysotsky arrived in France literally for one day. After briefly glancing at the Russian exhibit, he promptly headed to the French shipbuilding stands, where he requested to be shown aircraft-carrying ships.

He was received politely—but nothing more. As a guide, the French assigned a Black mid-level manager. Naturally, the French assumed that the Russian admiral would simply take a look at the display and move on. But something unexpected happened.

After hearing the specifications of a helicopter carrier, Admiral Vysotsky stunned the manager with a direct question: how much does a modern helicopter carrier cost, and how long would it take for France to build one for Russia? The Frenchman, clearly caught off guard, said the project cost 350 million euros, though the price could be lowered for Russia. As for construction, it would take about three years. However, by that time, Vysotsky’s attention had shifted to the exhibits of THALES Corporation. There, he was immediately surrounded by top-level managers and senior specialists.

The Commander-in-Chief listened attentively to a detailed presentation about THALES, its impressive achievements, and its cutting-edge projects developed for NATO navies. He was particularly intrigued by a showcased integrated combat ship tower, which, as described, could be installed on virtually any frigate, corvette, or cruiser.
