⭕️ Qatar calls for international oversight of Israel’s nuclear program and compliance with global treaties
Qatar has urged the international community to bring Israel’s nuclear facilities under IAEA safeguards and to compel Israel to join the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) as a non-nuclear state. Speaking before the IAEA Board of Governors in Vienna on 8 March, Qatar’s UN representative Jassim Yacoub Al Hammadi emphasized that Israel remains the only West Asian country outside the NPT while continuing aggressive policies against Palestinians, including military operations, forced displacement, and aid blockades.
❗️President of the Bakery Owners Association in Gaza, Abdul Nasser al-Ajrami:

○ Hamas agreed to a partial deal and requested the release of hundreds of Palestinian prisoners. The US agreed to release 250 prisoners, including 100 serving life sentences, with the rest serving long sentences.
○ Israel requested the right to veto 50 names from the life-sentence list, while Hamas agreed to a maximum of 10 objections.
○ In the fourth meeting, the US backtracked, stating that President Trump wanted the releases to happen without anything in return.
○ The meeting ended without finalizing the deal."

⭕️ According to Israeli newspaper Maariv, Israeli sources deny any advancement in ceasefire and prisoner exchange talks with the Palestinian resistance. An Israeli official involved in the talks says Hamas has not agreed to any proposals, including the Witkoff framework or an extension of the ceasefire based on the first phase's terms. Hamas also rejects discussions on a second phase involving Israel's known demands, such as disarmament of the Qassam Brigades and exile of Hamas’s leadership. Instead, Hamas insists on remaining in Gaza and demands a complete and permanent Israeli withdrawal, with assurances against renewed war. Israel maintains that these conditions are unacceptable.
In response, Israel is dispatching a delegation to Qatar to give the United States and mediators a chance to discuss a bridging proposal for a temporary ceasefire extension. This afternoon, the Security Cabinet is set to convene to discuss diplomatic efforts, continued pressure on Hamas—including halting water and electricity supplies to Gaza—and the military’s plans to resume its war on the Gaza Strip if no agreement is reached on extending the ceasefire.
❗️Hamas, following meetings with the head of the Egyptian General Intelligence Service in Cairo:
○ "The delegation stressed the need to adhere to all terms of the agreement, move immediately to start negotiations for the second phase, reopen crossings, and allow humanitarian aid to enter Gaza unconditionally."
