⭕️ Saudi Arabia has so far refrained from officially joining the BRICS group of nations, despite participating in a meeting in Brazil last week. The BRICS website lists Saudi Arabia, the world’s top oil exporter, as a member, although the kingdom has not formally joined. Brazil's foreign ministry said to refer to the Saudi government when asked about the kingdom's listed status as a member on the website.

In January, US President Donald Trump warned that if BRICS moved forward with plans to create a new currency or backed any alternative to the US dollar, the bloc’s member states would be hit with 100% tariffs.

❗️Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz on X:

"Israel must be able to defend itself independently against any threat and any enemy. This has been true in the face of many past challenges, and it will remain so in the future.

The Houthis will suffer heavy blows from Israel if they continue to fire at us. The IDF is prepared for any mission.

I also warn the Iranian leadership, which funds, arms, and directs the Houthi terrorist organization: the proxy model is over, and the axis of evil has collapsed. You bear direct responsibility. What we did to Hezbollah in Beirut, to Hamas in Gaza, to Assad in Damascus, and to the Houthis in Yemen—we will do to you as well in Tehran.

We will not allow anyone to harm Israel—and whoever harms us will be severely harmed in return."

❗️Gaza communal kitchens shut as supply runs out

Dozens of community kitchens in Gaza shut their doors on Thursday due to a lack of supplies, closing off a lifeline used by hundreds of thousands of people in a further blow to efforts to combat growing hunger in the enclave.

Amjad al-Shawa, director of the Palestinian Non-Governmental Organizations Network (PNGO) in Gaza, told Reuters that most of the enclave's 170 community kitchens had shut down after running out of stock due to Israel's continued blockade of Gaza.

Shawa said the decision by the WCK, announced late on Wednesday, and the closure of community kitchens on Thursday would cause a drop of between 400,000 and 500,000 free meals per day for the 2.3 million population.

"Everyone in Gaza today is hungry. The world must act now to save the people here," said Shawa.
