Following a ceasefire between India and Pakistan after several days of intense cross-border fire and aerial operations, Oman’s Grand Mufti, Sheikh Ahmad bin Hamad al-Khalili, called on the Indian government to remember the “kindness and benevolence” of its former Muslim rulers.
In a public statement, the Grand Mufti congratulated Pakistan on their “victory over their aggressors,” referencing the recent escalation with India.

The incident occurred despite prior coordination with both the Lebanese Army and UNIFIL, who had granted her permission to photograph near an illegal Israeli military base in Houla, South Lebanon.
Bonneau reported that two Israeli soldiers emerged from the base and began shooting shortly after she captured footage and images of the area. She was in Houla attending the funeral of a civilian killed by Israeli fire the previous day. “Lebanon is occupied. The Israeli army is killing people here almost every day,” she wrote in a statement on social media. Her attempt to document that reality, she added, was met with gunfire—not accountability.

Israel is engaged in a multi-front struggle for its existence following the horrific massacre carried out by Hamas against innocent civilians on 7 October, including the murder and abduction of dozens of French citizens.
