❗️Hamas: Trump envoy promised Gaza blockade would be lifted after soldier’s release, then abandoned deal
Hamas says Trump’s special envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, pledged that Israel would lift the blockade on Gaza within 48 hours of the release of US-Israeli soldier Edan Alexander, Drop Site News reports.
The soldier was released on Monday in what Hamas says was a goodwill gesture. No Palestinian prisoners were freed in return, and the blockade remains in place. “It was a deal made by Witkoff himself,” said Hamas official Basem Naim. “They didn’t violate the deal, they threw it in the trash.”

Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One after leaving the UAE on Friday, Trump warned that Iran needed to act quickly on a US nuclear proposal or “something bad’s going to happen.”

⭕️ Israel attacks UN aid chief for warning of ‘genocide’ in Gaza
Israel has condemned UN aid chief Tom Fletcher after he urged the Security Council to act to “prevent genocide” in Gaza, where aid deliveries have been blocked for 75 days. Fletcher’s remarks were made during a recent briefing on the worsening humanitarian crisis in the besieged enclave.
In a letter on Friday, Israeli UN envoy Danny Danon accused Fletcher of “weaponizing” the term genocide and delivering a “political sermon,” claiming the statement was made “without evidence, mandate, or restraint.”

The Quds News Network reported late last night that northern Gaza was under heavy bombardment overnight into Saturday, with air strikes focused on targets in Beit Lahia and Jabalia.

NBC News reports the Trump administration is developing a plan to permanently transfer up to one million Palestinians from Gaza to Libya in exchange for unfreezing billions in Libyan assets. The deal has reportedly been discussed with Libyan authorities and is being seriously considered, according to five sources including a former US official.
The timing of the leak coincides with Israel’s deepening assault on Rafah and rising talk of “voluntary evacuation,” raising concerns of a coordinated displacement scheme backed by the US and regional allies to forcibly depopulate Gaza citing ‘humanitarian resettlement’.
