Mohammad Hussein Aqeilan, a Palestinian child, has succumbed to injuries he sustained in an Israeli airstrike that struck his family’s home in Deir al-Balah two days ago, Wafa news agency reports.
While the agency did not disclose his age, it confirmed that the attack killed his entire family, effectively removing them from the Palestinian civil registry.

❗️Israel kills 4 displaced Palestinians in designated ‘safe zone’ in Al-Mawasi
Four Palestinians were killed and dozens injured after Israeli shelling targeted a tent sheltering displaced people in the Mawasi area near Khan Yunis, Gaza. The attack set multiple tents ablaze, with survivors treated for severe burns. Al-Mawasi has been officially designated by Israel as a humanitarian safe zone, yet continues to come under fire.
The area now hosts tens of thousands of evacuees from Rafah and Khan Yunis, forced there by repeated Israeli evacuation orders. Residents say they have nowhere else to go, as their original homes lie inside ‘dangerous zones’ or are already destroyed.
❗️White House freezes new Iran sanctions as Trump-era pressure campaign stalls
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt has reportedly ordered a pause on all new sanctions activity toward Iran, stalling momentum on former President Trump’s “maximum pressure” campaign, The Wall Street Journal reports. The directive was sent to senior officials at the National Security Council, Treasury, and State Department, with broader coordination across agencies managing Iran-related policy.
The move reflects growing complexities in enforcing sanctions, particularly given Iran’s deepening energy ties with China, now the buyer of over 90% of its oil exports, as well as intersecting interests with Japan, Europe, India, and Southeast Asia. A source close to the administration described the current approach as “running in place.”
⭕️ First HTS–SDF meeting since 10 March integration agreement
A Kurdish delegation met with officials from the transitional administration in Damascus, marking the first meeting since the 10 March agreement between the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) led government and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) which controls northeastern Syria with US-backing.
According to a joint statement, both sides agreed to:
– Form expert subcommittees to monitor the agreement’s implementation
– Coordinate efforts to ensure the continuity of the education system
– Develop mechanisms for the return of displaced persons and address barriers preventing their return
– Address issues in Aleppo’s Kurdish neighborhoods, Ashrafiya and Sheikh Maqsud, in a way that promotes stability and social peace

41% of kidney failure patients have died during the war due to being denied access to dialysis centers and the destruction of facilities dedicated to their care.
The occupation is deliberately pursuing a dangerous strategy to empty northern Gaza of hospitals and specialized care centers."

"Gaza: aid distribution has become a death trap.
Mass casualties including scores of injured and killed among starving civilians due to gunshots this morning. This is according to reports from international medics on ground.
A distribution point by the Israeli American plan was put far south in Rafah
This humiliating system has forced thousands of hungry and desperate people to walk for tens of miles to an area that’s all but pulverized due to heavy bombardment by the Israeli Army.
Aid deliveries and distribution must be at scale and safe. In Gaza, this can be done only through the United Nations including UNRWA.
The State of Israel must lift the siege and allow the UN safe and unhindered access to bring in aid and distribute it safely. This is the only way to avert mass starvation including among 1 million children.
With competing narratives and disinformation campaigns in full gear, international media must be allowed into Gaza to independently report on the ongoing atrocities including this morning’s heinous crime."
❗️Claire Menara, an emergency coordinator with Doctors Without Borders (MSF) at Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis, says medical staff are overwhelmed and operating under extreme shortages due to the ongoing Israeli blockade. With patients overflowing into corridors, Menara described the situation as “critical,” noting that many of the wounded are arriving in severe condition, and there are not enough supplies to treat them.
She added that the blockade, in place since March 2, has brought humanitarian operations to a breaking point, forcing hospital staff to donate their own blood to keep patients alive. “We can’t continue like this,” she said.

❗️Quds Brigades says it shelled Israeli soldiers in Gaza’s Khan Yunis
The Quds Brigades, the military wing of Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), announced that its fighters shelled Israeli forces and vehicles after they advanced into the area near the customs police site southeast of Khan Yunis.
The operation was reportedly conducted in coordination with the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades.
⭕️ Greta Thunberg joins Gaza-bound aid boat in defiance of Israeli blockade
Swedish activist Greta Thunberg and Irish actor Liam Cunningham have joined a Gaza-bound humanitarian vessel that set sail from the Italian port of Catania, as part of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition’s (FFC) mission to challenge Israel’s blockade. The ship, Madleen, carries symbolic aid in barrels and is staffed entirely by volunteers.
The mission follows a drone strike earlier this month on another flotilla vessel, Conscience, outside Maltese waters, an attack FFC attributes to Israel. Thunberg emphasized the urgency of the mission, stating: “No matter how dangerous this mission is, it is nowhere near as dangerous as the silence of the world in the face of genocide.” FFC framed the voyage as an act of civil resistance against Israel’s 17-year siege on Gaza, which rights groups widely denounce as collective punishment.

❗️Israeli settlers kidnapped and tortured two Palestinian-American brothers near Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, the Wafa official Palestinian news agency reports.
Ghassan and Imad Jaber were visiting relatives in al-Mughayyir village when the Israeli settlers started assaulting them, al-Mughayyir mayor Sayel Canaan told Arabic media. The brothers were later released and evacuated to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
❗️UN: Israeli settler attacks reach 20-year high
Israeli settler attacks against Palestinians have surged to their highest rate in at least two decades, according to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). Over 220 Palestinians have been injured by settlers so far this year, an average of 44 per month.
In its latest weekly update, OCHA reported the complete displacement of the Palestinian Bedouin community of Mughayyir al-Deir, after a fourth Israeli outpost was established near their homes. It also noted that Israeli movement restrictions in the Salfit governorate are obstructing access to essential services for 90,000 residents.
Punitive demolitions have displaced roughly 80 Palestinians in 2025, including the destruction of 50 homes in Nour Shams refugee camp this month. Over 33,000 people remain unable to return to Jenin, Nour Shams, and Tulkarem camps, according to UNRWA.

"The Israeli [army] spokesperson published a video suggesting Israel wasn’t responsible for the massacre of starving civilians near the American food distribution point in Rafah, southern Gaza. But the video backfired and turned into a scandal.
The footage actually showed a theft operation in Khan Yunis, not Rafah, by gangs backed by Israel. Civilians tried to retrieve some of the stolen aid, while the gang — operating under Israeli drone surveillance — fired into the air without injuring anyone."
