Israeli troops arrested eight Palestinians across the Hebron district on Friday, according to WAFA news agency. Five were detained near a water spring in the town of Nahalin, west of Bethlehem. In Al-Mafqara, located in the Masafer Yatta area, two brothers were taken while tending livestock near their home, while a third individual was arrested in the town of Al-Shuyukh, northeast of Hebron.

❗️Iran calls US travel ban racist

Alireza Hashemi Raja, director general for the affairs of Iranians abroad at the foreign ministry, described the US travel ban, set to come into force on 9 June, as “a clear sign of the dominance of a supremacist and racist mentality among American policymakers."

He further stated in a ministry release issued Saturday that the decision “indicates the deep hostility of American decision-makers towards the Iranian and Muslim people."

⭕ UNIFIL warns Israeli strikes on Lebanon threaten regional stability

UNIFIL spokesperson Andrea Tenenti described Israeli attacks on Lebanon, particularly in Dahiyeh, as a serious threat to regional stability and a violation of Lebanese sovereignty and UN Resolution 1701.

“This is not only a violation of Lebanese sovereignty and Resolution 1701, but also a great danger to the fragile stability that prevails in this tense region after the ceasefire agreement,” he said.

“These attacks will not only lead to increased tension and conflict, but will also make the situation very dangerous in a region that has been embroiled in war for fifteen months,” he warned.

Tenenti added that UNIFIL continues to carry out its mandate and called on the Israeli army to withdraw from occupied areas in southern Lebanon.

❗️On the first day of Eid al-Adha, an Israeli airstrike leveled the Jabalia al-Balad home of photojournalist Abdulraheem Khader, killing 48 members of his extended family - most of them children.

Khader had left for work that morning. He only learned of the massacre when neighbors called to tell him his house had been hit. By the time he returned, nothing was left but rubble.
