❗️Alawites face forced displacement and violence in Damascus’s Sumeriya neighborhood: Reports
In the Sumeriya neighborhood of Damascus, reports continue to emerge of forced displacement targeting Alawite residents.
Local testimonies indicate that around 100 Alawite families had their homes marked with an “X” and were given 72 hours by the Public Housing Commission to vacate. Witnesses said that those who resisted the evacuations were threatened with violence, and some were attacked or arbitrarily detained.
According to Sham TV’s correspondent in Damascus, trucks were seen gathering at the entrances of Sumeriya in preparation for evictions.
The correspondent reported conflicting accounts: some residents claimed they had been verbally told they could stay if they wished, while others said they were directly threatened with death if they remained.
Sham TV also noted that media outlets and international press were barred from entering the neighborhood to assess the situation.
Meanwhile, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported that the displacement crisis continues to uproot poor Alawite families, many of whom have been left without shelter.
SOHR sources said residents were ordered to fully evacuate their homes by 6 pm under the threat of bulldozers.
The report detailed how armed factions enforced the expulsions through intimidation and violence, including the use of electric sticks and raids with swords. Two young men were arrested, property documents were destroyed, and families were left with the choice of fleeing immediately or facing the destruction of their homes.
SOHR stressed that what is happening in Sumeriya amounts to a flagrant violation of civilian rights. It noted that some families have taken refuge in the Mezzeh 86 neighborhood.
❗️Qassam Brigades announced that on Tuesday, its fighters, along with fighters from the Quds Brigades, targeted an Israeli 'Eitan' armored personnel carrier with a Kornet guided missile, scoring a direct hit east of Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City. A helicopter was later observed landing for evacuation.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio has moved to bar Palestinian leaders from attending next month’s United Nations General Assembly in New York, citing US laws that prohibit recognition of Palestinian statehood and sanction the Palestinian Authority (PA) for payments to prisoners and resistance fighters.
According to internal documents reviewed by Fox News, the decision covers senior figures from both the PA and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), including President Mahmoud Abbas, though permanent staff of the Palestinian UN Observer Mission will be exempt under US treaty obligations.
State Department spokesperson Tommy Pigott said the move reflects 'national security interests' and insisted that the PA and PLO must repudiate "terrorism" and unilateral statehood efforts before they can be considered partners for peace.
The unprecedented decision marks the first time Washington has blocked an entire delegation from participating in the General Assembly.
The aim is to prevent Palestinian leaders from using the forum to push a constitutional declaration of independence, which the US views as a propaganda win for Hamas and a threat to ongoing Gaza ceasefire talks.
The ban stems from findings under the PLO Commitments Compliance Act and Middle East Peace Commitments Act, which accuse the PA and PLO of glorifying violence, promoting antisemitism, and providing material support to armed groups.
