"With hearts filled with grief and pain yet full of faith and certainty, we extend our warmest condolences on the martyrdom of the Mujahid Prime Minister Ahmad Ghaleb Al-Rahwi and a number of ministers following a treacherous, aggressive crime carried out by the Zionist enemy against the meeting of the Yemeni government. They ascended as martyrs for the sake of God and the homeland, standing tall and steadfast, working with sincerity and dedication until the very last moment of their lives.
We in the Yemeni Armed Forces, while expressing our condolences for the martyrdom of this constellation of state leaders, affirm to the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyed Abdul Malik Badreddine Al-Houthi – may God protect him – and to our great Yemeni people, that this heinous crime will not deter us from our firm stance in support of our brothers in Gaza and Palestine in general. This crime will only increase our determination, will, and steadfastness in our position until the aggression stops and the siege on Gaza is lifted.
The Zionist enemy must know well that by committing this heinous crime, it has opened the gates of hell upon itself, and the response of our armed forces will be harsh and painful, with effective and influential strategic options, God willing.
We also affirm to our leadership and people that we are continuing to develop our strategic military capabilities in both quality and quantity, and soon you will hear and see what will please your hearts and heal your chests. Indeed, the oppressor will be the one to suffer in the end."

❗️China slams global ‘bullying behavior’ as Xi hosts Eurasian leaders at SCO Summit
Chinese President Xi Jinping condemned what he called “bullying behavior” in global affairs as he opened a high-profile Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit in Tianjin on Monday, a remark widely viewed as aimed at the United States. Xi warned that the world was becoming increasingly “chaotic and intertwined” and urged the bloc to uphold the “Shanghai spirit” and strengthen its role amid global turbulence.
The SCO, which brings together China, India, Russia, Pakistan, Iran, and Central Asian states, positions itself as a non-Western alternative to traditional alliances. Xi called on members to align development strategies, deepen Belt and Road cooperation, and pursue “win-win growth,” announcing a 2 billion yuan ($281 million) grant to support SCO states this year.
Leaders including Russia’s Vladimir Putin, India’s Narendra Modi, and Belarus’s Alexander Lukashenko attended the gathering, which also drew 16 observer nations and dialogue partners. The summit, designed to showcase Beijing’s regional influence, comes just days before a massive military parade in China marking 80 years since the end of World War II.

Israel’s extremist National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir on Monday announced a major expansion of his controversial gun licensing scheme, making another 100,000 illegal Israeli settlers eligible for private firearm permits.
Ben Gvir’s office said five additional towns, Kiryat Gat, Kiryat Malakhi, Gan Yavne, Megiddo, and Tel Mond, were added to the list of communities where residents can apply for firearm licenses.
The policy, introduced after the start of Israel's genocidal war on Gaza in late 2023, has already resulted in well over 230,000 new licenses being issued.
The move will embolden settlers, who have long used weapons to attack Palestinian communities and seize land in the occupied West Bank, to escalate against Palestinians.

⭕ Netanyahu blocks Gaza exchange deal vote as cabinet discusses West Bank annexation
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu refused to allow a cabinet vote on a partial ceasefire and prisoner exchange with Hamas, telling ministers there was “no need for a vote” and that the issue was “not on the agenda.”
The six-hour meeting instead focused on military plans for a Gaza City takeover and on extending Israeli sovereignty to the occupied West Bank. National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir and other far-right members pressed for a formal rejection of the deal, but Netanyahu dismissed their demand.
Army Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir backed the deal, saying “there is a framework on the table, and we need to take it. The operation in Gaza created conditions for the return of hostages.”
Maj. Gen. (res.) Nitzan Alon, the army’s coordinator for hostage negotiations, was excluded from the meeting, with reports citing the decision not to address the deal.
Outside army HQ in Tel Aviv, hostage families denounced Netanyahu’s stance, calling his refusal an “irreversible loss” and demanding ministers reach an agreement.
⭕ Israel weighs jailing Greta Thunberg, activists in ‘terrorist-level’ conditions over Gaza flotilla

The plan also includes seizing the flotilla’s vessels for use in police maritime operations.

They pledged to ease trade barriers, exchange documents in real time, and recognize veterinary health certificates. Lebanon reaffirmed Egypt as a priority potato supplier, while Egypt will boost accredited fish exports. Both ministers said the deal strengthens agricultural capacity, food security, and climate resilience.

‼️ US suspends visas for ALL Palestinian passport holders
The Trump administration has imposed a sweeping suspension on nearly all nonimmigrant visas for Palestinian passport holders, US officials told the New York Times.
This marks an escalation of earlier restrictions and was issued in an 18 August State Department cable to all US embassies and consulates.
The suspension covers visas for medical treatment, education, business, and family visits, though applicants with dual nationality can still apply under a different passport. It remains unclear how long the measure will be in force.
According to CNN, the internal cable acknowledged the Palestinian Authority (PA) as a competent passport-issuing body but underscored that “the United States does NOT recognize the PA as a ‘foreign government.’” Under the directive, embassies and consulates were instructed to deny visas to “all otherwise eligible Palestinian Authority passport holders,” including those applying for diplomatic or official travel.
The policy invokes section 221-G of the 1952 Immigration and Nationality Act, requiring officials to withhold visas pending further review.
Last week, Washington begun revoking and denying visas for Palestinian officials ahead of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) this month.
Earlier in August, the US also stopped issuing visitor visas to Palestinians from Gaza, including those seeking humanitarian or medical treatment.
According to Hebrew reports:

– Unconfirmed reports of Israel deploying Hannibal Directive.
– Fortified positions and rescue helicopters targeted by Palestinian fighters.

UPDATE | The Global Sumud Flotilla that departed for Gaza on Sunday has returned to Barcelona because of rough seas and stormy weather.
"We conducted a sea trial and then returned to port to allow the storm to pass. This meant delaying our departure to avoid risking complications with the smaller boats," the Global Sumud Flotilla Mission stated, noting wind speeds reached about 56 km/h.
The organizers did not specify when the voyage would continue.
