⭕️ OPEC+ expected to approve modest oil output increase for December

OPEC+ is expected to approve another modest increase in oil production targets for December during its meeting on Sunday, according to three sources familiar with the discussions to Reuters.

Since April, OPEC+ has raised production targets by over 2.7 million barrels per day (bpd), around 2.5% of global output, but has reduced the pace to 137,000 bpd in October and November following warnings of potential oversupply.

The three sources said that eight OPEC+ members, Saudi Arabia, Russia, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Kuwait, Oman, Kazakhstan, and Algeria, are expected to agree to another 137,000 bpd increase for December. However, a fourth source noted that the group might instead choose to pause output hikes.

❗️Federal judge strikes down Trump’s citizenship proof order as unconstitutional

A federal judge has ruled that US President Donald Trump’s attempt to require documentary proof of citizenship for federal voter registration is unconstitutional and cannot be enforced.

US District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly in Washington, D.C., sided with Democratic and civil rights groups that challenged Trump’s executive order to revamp the US election system. In her decision, Kollar-Kotelly said the directive violates the separation of powers, marking a significant setback for the administration and its allies who claim the measure is needed to ensure that only US citizens vote in federal elections.

“Because our Constitution assigns responsibility for election regulation to the States and to Congress, this Court holds that the President lacks the authority to direct such changes,” she wrote, adding that the Constitution gives the president “no direct role” in setting voter qualifications or regulating federal election procedures.

The White House said it disagreed with the ruling.

❗️Israel's Channel 12: Most Israelis say US now directing Gaza war

Around two-thirds of Israelis think the US is now directing 'military operations' in Gaza, according to a survey conducted by Israel's Channel 12 released on Friday evening.

The poll showed that 67% of participants view the US as the primary decision-maker regarding Israel’s policy and Israeli army activities in the Strip. Only 24% believe Israel itself is in charge, while 9% were undecided.

The survey also asked whether Israel has essentially become a “client state” of the US, an idea rejected by both Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and top American officials, including US Vice President JD Vance during his visit to Israel. Nearly 69% of those surveyed agreed with the description, including 23% who said they “strongly agree,” while 25% disagreed.

❗️Germany, Jordan, and UK urge immediate ceasefire as atrocities mount in Darfur

The foreign ministers of Germany, Jordan, and the UK jointly called today for an immediate ceasefire in Sudan.

According to UN officials, fighters from the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have stormed the city of El-Fasher, killing more than 450 people inside a hospital and carrying out ethnically motivated attacks and sexual violence against civilians.

The RSF has denied involvement in the hospital killings, but testimonies from survivors, as well as satellite imagery and videos shared online, suggest that large-scale massacres are taking place in the city.

British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper voiced alarm over the atrocities unfolding in El-Fasher, now under RSF control.

“Just as a combination of leadership and international cooperation has made progress in Gaza, it is currently badly failing to deal with the humanitarian crisis and the devastating conflict in Sudan." Cooper said.

❗️Venezuela accuses Trump of plotting regime change amid US military buildup in Caribbean

Venezuela’s attorney general, Tarek William Saab, has accused US President Donald Trump of attempting to overthrow the government of President Nicolás Maduro. In an interview with the BBC, Saab said there is “no doubt” Trump is trying to turn Venezuela into a colony of the US. His remarks come amid fears in Caracas that a US military buildup in the Caribbean signals preparations for regime change.

Trump has accused Maduro of leading a drug-trafficking organization, a charge the Venezuelan leader denies and which the US has provided no evidence for.

Asked about the possibility of a land invasion, Saab told the BBC’s Newshour program that “it shouldn’t happen, but we are prepared."

Saab accused Washington of seeking to seize Venezuela’s natural resources, including gold, oil, and copper, as part of a push for regime change. His comments follow a steady US military buildup in the region which now includes warships, bombers, and drones, all of which has been framed as anti-narcotics operations. The Venezuelan president has accused the US of “fabricating war” after it ordered the deployment of the USS Gerald R. Ford, the world’s largest warship, to the Caribbean.

❗️Statement by Hamas:
——

"A delegation from the leadership of the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, headed by Dr. Khalil al-Hayya, head of the movement in the Gaza Strip, met today, Saturday, 1 November 2025, in Istanbul with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.

The meeting discussed the latest developments in the Palestinian cause and the situation in the Gaza Strip, particularly after the ceasefire agreement and the subsequent Israeli violations in its implementation — including bombings, the killing of around 250 Palestinians, the continued closure of the Rafah crossing, and numerous other breaches.

The delegation delivered to the Minister of Foreign Affairs a detailed memorandum documenting Israel’s violations of the ceasefire agreement since its implementation began.

Dr. Hayya briefed Minister Fidan on the difficult humanitarian and living conditions facing Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, stressing the movement’s commitment to the terms it signed — including the search for and transfer of the remaining bodies of Israeli captives, the establishment of an independent committee to administer the Gaza Strip, and the completion of all necessary measures, particularly the full Israeli withdrawal from the territory.

Hayya emphasized the importance of Turkiye’s role in reaching the ceasefire agreement and called for intensified efforts to end the humanitarian suffering and provide urgent relief and shelter — especially as winter approaches.

The delegation also reviewed the dire situation in the West Bank and Jerusalem, including ongoing Israeli violations against civilians, holy sites, and prisoners, stressing the need for regional and international action to halt these crimes and continued aggression."

❗️Norwegian doctor Nil Ekiz in an interview with Anadolu Agency:

– "From the moment we entered Gaza, we saw destroyed houses, wrecked cars and rubble everywhere. Children ran towards our car, pointing to their mouths because they were so hungry. Not a single building was intact; the destruction was total."

– "People were sleeping on the floor, in the corridors, in front of the lifts, and even on the stairs. Most of them had been wounded by bullets or shrapnel, while patients with chronic diseases were dying in their tents without treatment."

– "The youngest child I saw was six years old. She was shot in the chest and the bullet pierced her stomach. Despite our attempts to save her, she died."

– "In the intensive care units, I saw children aged three, five and seven with head injuries, and young people with serious wounds that were not healing due to malnutrition and infection."

– "Medical staff were forced to inject themselves with solutions to continue working. Many of them have lost their families and children, yet they continue to perform their humanitarian duty in unbearable conditions."

– "The father of a child with a head injury came to me begging me to take him to Norway to save him, but he died a few days later. That feeling of helplessness in the face of death is indescribable."
