A drone strike hit the Khor Mor gas field in the Iraqi Kurdistan region late Wednesday, forcing a full shutdown of operations and halting all gas supplies to power stations.
The field, operated by UAE-based Dana Gas and considered one of Iraq’s largest, has been repeatedly targeted by rocket and drone attacks in recent years. Authorities say the strike sparked a fire but caused no casualties, and warn electricity output will drop by 75 percent.

❗️Statement by Hamas:
"The approval by the Israeli Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Security Committee of a draft law allowing settlers to directly purchase land in the occupied West Bank constitutes a new crime that violates the legal status of the West Bank as occupied Palestinian territory. Through this move, the fascist occupation government seeks to impose new facts on the ground as part of its ongoing plans to Judaize and annex the West Bank.
We in Hamas affirm that all occupation measures aimed at Judaizing the West Bank and Jerusalem and expelling their people are null and void, illegal, and will never change the reality that this land is Palestinian and that our people’s rights to it are inalienable.
We call on the Arab League, the United Nations, and its relevant institutions to act swiftly and effectively to confront these blatant violations of UN resolutions regarding the occupied West Bank, and to compel the terrorist occupation government to halt its settlement projects and its continuing aggression against our people, our land, and our holy sites."
⭕️ Israel moves toward de facto annexation as Knesset panel approves bill letting Israelis purchase land in occupied West Bank
A Knesset committee has advanced a bill that would allow Israelis to buy property in the occupied West Bank, overriding long-standing Jordanian-era laws that barred such sales and accelerating what critics describe as Israel’s ongoing de facto annexation. The proposal, backed by Likud, Otzma Yehudit, and Religious Zionism MKs, passed without opposition and would open all West Bank real estate to Israeli ownership if approved in the coming Knesset readings.
The move comes amid intensified settlement expansion and Palestinian displacement since Israel’s war on Gaza began two years ago, and follows last year’s International Court of Justice ruling deeming the occupation illegal and calling for the evacuation of all settlements. No immediate comment was issued by the Palestinian Authority (PA) or Jordan.

❗️Palestinian journalist detained by Israeli forces reports torture after 110 days in captivity
Farah Abu Ayyash, a Palestinian journalist working for the Tasnim News Agency in Hebron was arrested during a night raid on her home in the village of Beit Ummar on 6 August, 2025.
Since her transfer to Moskobiya prison in northern occupied Jerusalem she has reportedly faced torture, harassment, and physical assault.
In a letter shared by fellow Tasnim reporter Lama Abu Halou, Abu Ayyash described the mental and physical abuse she has endured, marking 110 days in Israeli detention:
“The female soldiers tightened the white plastic cuffs on my wrists until the artery bulged. A commander came with pliers to cut them off. Dogs tearing at my pants [...] They kept trying to strip away the fact that I’m a journalist. They forced me to give them my phone password. My work has always been absolutely transparent.
Moskobiya is a horror movie. They shoved me inside, shackled my hands and feet, then added a heavy chain over my shoulders. The guards beat me. A female soldier grabbed me by the hair, slammed my head into the wall, and told me: ‘Kiss the Israeli flag.’ I refused. She kicked me. I was already sick.”
