true, MCP works well when the runtime permits external tooling; my issue was just the sandbox restrictions.

I’m building an agentic AI around SUMO using Python (TraCI + randomTrips.py).
The issue is that the process hangs indefinitely during map/traffic generation and only exits when a timeout kills it.
Interestingly, the output files (.net.xml, .trips.xml, .rou.xml) are generated only after I force-terminate the process, not during normal execution. Only .net.xml is generated during execution.
I’ve already removed disabled --validate, redirected stdout/stderr to files, and added explicit timeouts, but the hang persists.
Has anyone faced this behavior with randomTrips.py or SUMO on Windows, and what’s the correct way to make it exit cleanly?
randomTrips.py (given by SUMO): https://pastebin.com/raw/ZhqfkcsD
my code: https://pastebin.com/raw/xLjvitgh [I have mentioned comment, at the line of code at where is just start infinite thing]

The short answer is that it's syntax sugar for state machines

Issue resolved: MCP runs tools in a sandbox, so calling SUMO tools via subprocess fails; the fix was to add SUMO_HOME/tools to sys.path and invoke randomTrips via its Python API instead of spawning external binaries.
