automation in n8n is faster though..
I'm self hosting for some discord n telegram bots..
still it depends on what you want to do with n8n,
I've tried using it as a back-end but it's slow n totally not worth the time
Anyone here use something like n8n or make? I am curious if its worth it as a time saver vs making an automation in python like i usually do

Trying to change other people is plain wrong. Go Google "circle of influence" and learn more

ask yourself why people doesn't connect with you, put yourself in their place, maybe you behave like a text generator so listening for Long times is torturing, start with small talk behave as good seller not start with selling product immediately, tell about yourself, "company", hobbies, etc and only when you get their attention tell them about community
oops with opened cult
it was fked up ofcourse but I had guts to even let myself believe I could do it

Honestly, when I was at home during my drop year before college, I feel like I learned more in that one year than I did in the last 3 years here.

I tried changing the people around me. I do meet people who are into tech sometimes, and we talk for a while, but the connection usually doesn’t last. After that everyone just goes back to their own thing.

The last 3 years here have been kinda rough for me. Not because the college is bad, but because I always felt like I didn’t have the right people around me when it comes to tech or building things.

I'm a backend guy n started doing front end with react after using jinja2 months
it took me a little more time than necessary to understand vite n configure it.. even though I'd access to chatgpt2
wouldn't say "answering questions" = "guiding others" but generally speaking - sort of yeah

Congratulations. You just figure out the Open Source Community. There are many out there and not confined to your geographic boundaries. If anybody wants to join, they just need to step up and be active in that group

congrats, you've reinvented forums
also, why'd someone older guide newer guys? yeet them into gpt and let go; it's either swim or draw
I really think it depends on the task. n8n is great if you need to interface with different things.
In python you'd need to write that integration first or know how to do it but n8n has a huge list of integrations out of the box.
depends on what you want to automatize
used n8n - not really better than idk writing on your own
XD no I ordered something n something else came on the counter.. i jus took it n ate
n then the staff asked me
sir what did you eat
I'm like ohhh
yea am not good at socialising
plus
i accidentally took someone else's order in the restaurant
now it's jus me n some shitty ahh projects, half-way done.

back then I was into stuff like fk
I was trying to build a motion capture system using the MediaPipe library to track finger and joint movements, then convert those into keyframes in Blender for a game I was building.
Because of that, the only solution that came to my mind is building a small community of people who actually enjoy building things — where we can talk about projects, share ideas, help each other, prepare for hackathons, and keep pushing each other to grow.
Not something tied to college.
For example, sometimes I get an idea and start a new project. I get really deep into it. But the people around me usually show zero interest in that stuff. And the moment someone interrupts or breaks my focus, it becomes really hard to get back into that same flow again.
This has been happening for almost 3 years now.
thanks budd
open source or closed but I want people to work in a collaborative way
thanks, it's more like a forum yeah
but I want members to feel surrounded by people who're into the same things as they are
yeah, and what they can't figure out? especially the ones in college
excl. some weird shit like sysdis (who tf lets juniors design systems?) there's nothing that complicated in curicculum
it's there cuz I don't want those people struggling to figure out shits as I did

The idea is that the community should be self-sustaining. Older members guide newer ones, people share knowledge, and everyone contributes to making each other better.
I’m still figuring things out, so I wanted to ask you guys —
Do you think this is a good direction?
Am I thinking about it the right way, or is there something important I might be missing?
