You're supposed to use OAuth for that kind of use case but not sure how to implement that in a Telegram Bot. https://core.telegram.org/bots/telegram-login

Nobody will use it since it will be a security risk. Whatever you say about not being a scammer is irrelevant. Because that's exactly what scammers say too.

All you need to do is to generate a unique url (deep link) for each users id. Since user IDs are unique, it will work nicely.

Everything else is pure bullshit or beginner level design.

I’m working on a Telegram bot where users can connect their own Telegram accounts.

The flow is:
1. User enters their phone number in the bot
2. Telegram send a login request using Telegram MTProto API
3. User receives a 5-digit verification code

The issue is that the code delivery is inconsistent. Sometimes users don’t receive the code, or it seems to depend on timing/session (maybe timezone-related, not sure).

I’m trying to understand:
- When exactly Telegram sends the verification code
- What conditions are required for it to be delivered
- How to make this flow reliable for all users

Has anyone faced this before or knows how to properly handle MTProto auth for this use case?

Any help would be really appreciated
