Learn means being able to understand things, not how to do them.
When you don't learn how things work you're unable to recognize if the things the AI is doing are wrong or dangerous or have other implications.
So in my option, never hire someone which hasn't studied how to code
I can't argue against that except that if you hire someone and you have two candidates and one can't code but is good with AI and the other can code and is also good with AI then I'd take the one that can both.

Why would someone learn math if everyone just calculate with calculators ahh opinion

i'm not saying it's perfect but i do say that it's better than claude. but that's my subjective view.
"finds also bugs that are almost impossible to meet" well yes... if it's a bug it needs to be fixed. doesn't matter if you "almost" never hit it 🤷♂️
i'm currently using codex in the terminal with 6 instances running at the same time 😅 it works well but i think it's better now to switch to the native app instead of using the terminal.

Guys did you ever use codex ? Is it good or Claude is far better

AI code rarely works as intended and is just as hard to troubleshoot as it is to write.

Good evening everyone! Newbie here 😊
My name is Darlene, and I’m from the south of the Philippines. I graduated with a BSIT degree in 2017, but after graduating, I focused on helping with our family business. Now that our business has closed, I’m planning to go back and relearn programming.
However, I’m not sure which programming language I should focus on. I really want to make use of the course I finished and start a career in tech.
I hope you can guide me or share your suggestions on what language is best to learn again as a beginner returning to programming.
Maraming salamat po! 🙏

Tell me why would someone learn programming in an era where everyone can do anything using AI, instead learn how to use and leverage AI

Hello dear friends! 👋
My name is Aditya Vishwakarma. I’m completely new to Python and honestly don’t know anything about it yet, but I’m really interested in learning.
Right now, I only have a phone (no laptop or PC), so I would really appreciate it if you could suggest how I can start learning Python using just a mobile device.
My main goal is to create Telegram bots 🤖, so that’s my first priority. If anyone can guide me on the best way to begin, useful apps, resources, or a proper learning path, it would mean a lot.
Looking forward to your suggestions. Thank you in advance! 😊
has anyone of you guys worked on
agentic ai iterative tool loop?
okay and i can get codex by a subscription in chat gpt pro or i can get it alone ?

Nah codex finds also bugs that are almost impossible to meet in prod or situations that never happen (default value for a never-null never-empty field)

codex is clearly better if you care about programming. not like claude can't do it but if you let something code in claude and youo give it to codex for a review and if it's not a trivial codebase, codex will find bugs. not necessarily the other way around.
so if you care about programming, take codex. but make sure to understand that there are differences in the models! if you have the codex PRO subscription, then you have access to a better model than if you use for example the PLUS subscription.
also, i always use gpt5.4 with xhigh so that's the most capable thing you can do.
with claude, you want to use opus 4.6, which is good and "warmer" and friendlier than codex but not as capable.
