PSA: Activate 144hz (or anything else higher than 60) in Windows after buying a new monitor
Last year I bought a 144hz monitor and I bought another one this year to make it a dual screen set up. I would brag to my friends about how much better 144hz is and they would come over and claim to see the difference. Well, I ran an FPS test (testufo.com) for fun and was confused when it maxed out at 60 fps. Turns out, I never activated the 144hz display setting on either of my monitors, even the one I had for a year.I feel like such an idiot. My games look so much better now but I've wasted so much time. I don't think this fact is well publicized when buying a new monitor hence this post. Don't be me. Activate 144hz.
