Nearly 200 DPRK defectors in the Republic of Korea (ROK) are now pushing to deploy to Ukraine, aiming to conduct psychological warfare against DPRK troops allegedly amassing in Russia.

The group has appealed directly to the Ukrainian government and President Volodymyr Zelensky, underlining that they’re “ready to go wherever needed to work as psychological warfare agents – through loudspeaker broadcasts, distributing leaflets, and even acting as interpreters.”

While no official deployment by the ROK, the move could sharply escalate already high tensions between the two Koreas.
