Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) forces have successfully seized control of the strategic city of Deir Ezzor in eastern Syria. This development comes in the wake of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) retreating to the eastern bank of the Euphrates River following a series of defections from the SDF’s Deir Ezzor Military Council to HTS-aligned forces.
HTS commander Hassan Abdul-Ghani confirmed that their forces continue pushing forward in the rural areas of Deir Ezzor Governorate, consolidating their control and expanding their influence.
The SDF’s control of Deir Ezzor was short-lived, lasting only a few days after they replaced former Syrian government forces last Friday. HTS fighters have announced plans for a thorough sweep of the city’s neighborhoods while also signaling their intentions to advance toward the key cities of Raqqa and Hasakah.

🟡 Syria update - Day 14:
🟡 In a newly released statement, Hezbollah expressed concerns over Israeli ambitions in Syria and the broader region. The group emphasized that the lack of a unified response from Arab and Islamic communities has emboldened Israel’s actions. Hezbollah called for concerted efforts and proactive measures to prevent Israel from realizing its objectives.
🟡 Video footage privately recorded by rebel forces document the continuation of sectarian-based summary executions, particularly in the Alawite-majority Lattakia governorate. Video-documented sectarian killings have also taken place in Kurdish-majority areas at the hands of the Turkish-backed SNA, and in Homs by the Maghawir Al-Sham faction.
🟡 In new videos released to social media, Kurdish-led SDF forces appear to have secured at least 4 functional 2K12 “Kub” anti-air missile systems from a Syrian Army base in Deir ez-Zor. Israeli airstrikes have knocked out an estimated 70–80% of Syria’s strategic weapon capabilities.
🟡 Footage released to social media reveals for the first time the presence of Syrian rebel forces in Sudan, fighting alongside the UAE-backed RSF. The presence of Syrian opposition militiamen embroiled in Sudan appears to be a new revelation.
🟡 Twelve paratroopers from the 25th Special Mission Forces Division of the now-defunct Syrian Arab Army, initially deployed to West Aleppo on November 27, have reportedly declared their refusal to surrender to the de-facto authorities in Damascus.
🟡 The de-facto Syrian Salvation Government in Damascus has reportedly declared its intentions to reorient Syria’s state-controlled economy to a free market model in a move meant to attract foreign investment.
🟡 Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei claims that the expeditious overthrow of the Syrian government by rebel forces was coordinated by the US and Israel, and that Iran maintains proof of such.
🟡 The Syrian Salvation Government has appointed Mohammed al-Bashir to serve in the capacity as caretaker prime minister during a transitional phase that will last until March 1, 2025.
🟡 The General Commander of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdî, announced a US-mediated ceasefire agreement with Syrian rebel forces. Under the agreement, SDF fighters will withdraw from the disputed city of Manbij as soon as possible.
Shocking videos on social media show anti-Assad forces in Syria brutally abusing and killing ethnic and religious minorities. Some perpetrators are seen wearing ISIS patches, raising concerns about ISIS’ resurgence amid the power vacuum left by the collapse of Assad’s government.

🟡 BREAKING: The iconic northern Syrian city of Kobani and its countryside, held by the Kurdish-led and US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), are witnessing intense shelling from the Turkish military as the Syrian National Army (SNA) is said to be advancing toward the city.
Читать полностью…🟡 NEW: Turkish military convoys have entered the Turkish-occupied city of Jarabulus in northern Syria, likely advancing toward the city of Manbij.
Recently, Turkish-backed militias from the Syrian National Army (SNA) seized complete control of Manbij after days of fierce clashes with the Kurdish-led and US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
Manbij holds immense strategic importance. It is one of the few primary road links connecting northeast Syria to Türkiye. The city is a vital infrastructure hub, housing key water and energy resources.
A Turkish military foothold in Manbij could significantly undermine the SDF. The latest SNA campaign has already forced the SDF out of all territory west of the Euphrates River. The Turkish military has occupied an 8,835-square-kilometer area in northern Syria since 2016.
Türkiye has declared that its objective is to dismantle the Kurdish-led autonomous administration in northeast Syria and destroy its armed forces, the SDF.
For the first time in months, 109 aid trucks arrived to UNRWA warehouses west of Khan Younis. The trucks were secured and escorted by police to protect aid from being looted. Palestinians are desperate as Israel’s siege and genocidal war has left them on the brink of famine.
Aid looting has been a persistent problem with gangs linked to the Israeli forces looting aid trucks and reselling it in Gaza’s markets. A recent operation by Gaza police against the gangs resulted in the death of 20 gang members.
Despite Israeli claims of destroying and dismantling Hamas, Hamas continues to resist the occupation while simultaneously governing over Gaza.

🇹🇩🇫🇷 BREAKING: France’s military has begun its withdrawal from Chad, marking another blow to French interests in Africa. Until now, around 1,000 French troops were stationed in the country.
This marks the end of France’s decades-long military project in the Sahel. Earlier, Paris pulled its forces from its former colonies of Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger.
“It is time for Chad to assert its full sovereignty and to redefine its strategic partnerships according to national priorities,” declared Chad’s Foreign Minister, Abderaman Koulamallah, on November 28.
France justifies its presence in Africa as needed to “fight extremism.” But conflicts with armed groups in the Sahel have only worsened, fueling skepticism about France’s true motives and deepening mistrust of the former colonial power.
The strategically significant northern Syrian city of Manbij has come under full control of the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA), a senior official from the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) confirmed this morning. The city endured several days of intense clashes, with the SNA benefiting from Türkiye’s aerial support during the offensive.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced the “liberation” of Manbij from the Kurdish-led SDF on Monday, asserting that Ankara “has no eye on the territory of another country.” “The sole purpose of our cross-border operations is to protect our homeland and our citizens from terrorist attacks,” he added.
Kurdish forces initially captured Manbij from the Islamic State (ISIS) in 2016 and successfully defended it against multiple offensives by Turkish-backed forces over the years. However, the recent SNA campaign has driven the SDF out of all territory west of the Euphrates River, marking a significant territorial shift in northern Syria.

This morning, the Israeli army reached the city of Qatana, which is located about 20 kilometers from Damascus. Israel continues to advance into Syrian territory to expand the so-called “buffer zone” between Syria and Israel. In reality, Israel is expanding its colonial ambitions, fulfilling what Netanyahu has referred to as "Greater Israel."
Israeli attacks on the integrity of Syrian territory are also being carried out by air. During the past night, Israel claimed to have conducted its biggest air operation in history against Syria, targeting ports, airbases, military and defense systems, and government structures.

🟡 NEW: The battle for Manbij rages on, ignited by the Syrian National Army's offensive, backed by Turkish air support, against the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces. Reports speak of heavy casualties on both sides.

Simultaneously, CNN reported that a senior American official believes significant portions of HTS maintain strong links to ISIS.
In all likelihood, the deciding factor for US/UK support and engagement will be subservience to Western interests, not “human rights and democracy.”

🟡 NOW: Intense ongoing fighting between the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA) and the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the Manbij region.
Sources close to the SNA claim their fighters, supported by Turkish air and artillery strikes, have taken control of Manbij and are now advancing towards Raqqa. Meanwhile, SDF sources on the ground report inflicting heavy losses on the SNA, with at least 330 fighters killed and several captured in a still ongoing battle.
Overnight, Turkish forces conducted additional operations in areas controlled by the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES). An attack on the village of Al-Mistriha, near Ain Issa in northern Syria, reportedly resulted in the deaths of 12 civilians.

Today marks the anniversary of the Battle of Ayacucho in 1824, the battle that effectively ended Spanish colonial rule in South America.
Under the leadership of Simón Bolívar’s most trusted general, Antonio José de Sucre, the revolutionary forces faced overwhelming odds against the colonial troops. Despite being outnumbered, Sucre’s strategic brilliance allowed him to outmaneuver the Spanish by skillfully leveraging the terrain in the mountains of present-day Peru.
This date is commemorated across the Americas, particularly in Venezuela, Sucre’s homeland. His and Bolívar’s achievements are celebrated as symbols of Venezuela’s contributions to the region's liberation.

Evo Morales has reported another assassination attempt against him. This time an attempted poisoning, he claims. Copper Oxychloride was found scattered in his bedroom in Shinahota, Cochabamba. When ingested, the substance is toxic for humans.
This comes after his car was shot at over a month ago in the same area in a police operation in the context of the internal faction fight within the MAS party. The government has denied any allegations of involvement in any assasination attempts.
Morales is currently locked in a legal battle to stand as a candidate in next years presidential elections. President Luis Arce is pressuring the courts and the electoral authroities to block Evo’s candidacy in order to stand himself. The once powerful party is now totally divided.

Kenyan police violently cracked down on anti-femicide protests in Nairobi. The neoliberal government of William Ruto continued its legacy of deadly repression by firing tear gas. In the summer of 2024, Ruto crushed anti-IMF protests and killed at least 65 people.
Feminist protests began on November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. They intensified recently after police published figures showing a sharp rise in femicides in the country. Between August and October 2024, 97 women were killed, mostly at the hands of male partners.

The moment Assad fell Germany’s far-right "Alternative for Germany" (AfD) wasted no time dreaming up mass deportations for the 900,000 Syrians living in the country. But this opportunistic ploy isn’t just an AfD fantasy—Germany’s largest party, the "Christian Democratic Union," seems all too eager to echo the sentiment.

For the first time, Israel carried out airstrikes on the Kurdish-led autonomous region of northeastern Syria, targeting the city of Qamishli. According to local sources, the strikes hit military facilities previously operated by the Syrian Arab Army, now under the de facto control of the Kurdish-led and US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). The attack resulted in several casualties, including fatalities.
Qamishli, once the capital of the autonomous region in northeast Syria, has experienced significant shifts in power. Before the offensive led by Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), much of the city—including an international airport—was still under the control of the Syrian government. Amidst the collapse of their government, Damascus transferred complete control of Qamishli to the SDF.

🟡 NEW: Since this morning, Israel has conducted over 17 airstrikes on Syria, targeting various locations, including Daraa, Damascus, Latakia, and Tartus. The majority of the targets hit by Israel are military air defense bases, weapon depots, and research centers. The goal is to weaken Syria by depriving it of its defensive and offensive capabilities on the ground.
In the video, an Israeli attack is shown on the headquarters of the 121st Brigade in Kanaker, southwest of Damascus.
Since the Assad-led government collapsed, Israel has exploited the governmental "chaos" to pursue its colonial ambitions in Syria. Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz announced Israel's intention to establish a "safe zone" on the Syrian side, which in practice translates to a continuous ground advance by the Israeli army into Syrian territory.

Indian police launched tear gas at farmers who tried to march to New Delhi in protest of the Modi government’s attacks on their livelihood. After clashes ended, the police erected barricades and barbed wire along the border crossing between northern Punjab and Haryana to prevent any advance of the farmers. An internet blackout was also implemented.
Farmers are demanding guaranteed minimum crop prices to ensure a basic threshold of livelihood. Currently, the government only has such a policy for wheat and rice.
The movement is a resurgence of the 2020/2021 farmer’s protests that gripped the country and forced Modi to repeal bills that would allow corporations to drive farmers out of business. Specifically, the laws were meant to liberalize the market and allow corporations to dictate the price of goods.

Black activist, journalist, and former Black Panther Party member Mumia Abu-Jamal received a death sentence in the US 42 years ago. After spending three decades on death row, a global solidarity movement successfully persuaded US authorities to commute his sentence to life imprisonment in 2011.
Mumia honed his skills as a revolutionary journalist during his time as a member of the Philadelphia chapter of the Black Panther Party. Renowned for viewing journalism as a potent political tool for fostering a mass movement, he wrote extensively against capitalism, war, racism, and poverty.
His trial was marred by numerous controversies, including allegations of witnesses being blackmailed and the presentation of questionable evidence. International human rights organizations vehemently opposed the sentence, citing concerns about police abuse and corruption.

Israel has launched an unprecedented wave of attacks in Syria, exploiting the collapse of Assad’s government in the country. The Israeli military has reportedly advanced several kilometers into Syrian territory, occupying the strategic Mount Hermon, while about 100 Syrian sites have been targeted by airstrikes.
Israel’s latest wave of attacks on Syria follows Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu’s order to occupy a “buffer zone” on the border with Syria to “not allow any hostile force to establish itself” and neutralize “anything that could pose a future threat to Israel.”
Israeli media reports that Israel is preparing to launch continuous attacks on Syria in the coming days.
