Thousands of people swarmed downtown Frankfurt, Germany, today for one of Europe's largest pro-Palestine protests marking the anniversary of October 7. While arrests were made, the scene remained notably calmer compared to the unrest in Berlin.
Germany has emerged as the epicenter of protests against Israel's extermination war in Europe, according to the European Palestinian Information Center. The country has seen over 4,140 pro-Palestine protests. In the past year alone, 26,000 actions have ignited across Europe.
Despite a year of slaughter in Gaza, our colleagues on the ground there have chosen to stay, placing their lives at risk to continue their crucial work of documenting Israel’s war crimes.
In one year, Israel has killed 175 journalists. In the first two months of the genocide, Israel killed more journalists than were killed during all of WWII.
Our efforts to bring their families to safety were unfortunately shutdown when GonFundMe closed our fundraising appeal after the US State Department falsely labeled our work as “Kremlin propaganda” in a recent press conference.
