A man attacked a pro-Palestine protest camp in Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich, setting fire to a Palestinian flag and banners. Protesters were familiar with the man as he has a history of assaulting activists.
The protest camp has been going on for over three months against the ongoing Israeli genocide and the complicity of several universities in the city of Munich. The universities have ignored the students' demands which include ending ties with Israeli institutions involved in the occupation.
Germany is one of the biggest supporters of Israel both diplomatically and militarily. Students who protest the ongoing genocide have been met with brutal attacks by the German police and demonized by German media.

Gaza’s resistance challenges Israel’s claim that they killed Mohammad Deif, a top commander who has been on Israel’s most-wanted list for decades, during a massacre in Khan Younis on July 13. Deif, a mysterious guerrilla leader, has been reported dead multiple times by the occupation forces, yet he continues to survive, constantly on the run. Why is Israel so determined to eliminate him, seemingly at any cost? Read on.

NOW: Massive crowds of people have gathered in Iran’s capital, Tehran, for the funeral of assassinated Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh. In Tehran’s city center, thousands of mourners have turned to the streets in a 5km funeral procession through the capital.
Several top Iranian officials attended the ceremony, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who led the funeral prayers at the memorial event, and parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.
Haniyeh was in the Iranian capital to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Iran’s newly-elected President, Masoud Pezeshkian, when an Israeli missile reportedly struck his accommodation.
Ghalibaf, who opened the ceremony, said that Haniyeh’s assassination in Tehran would not go unanswered. People across the world, and Iranians in particular, are left anticipating Iran’s retaliation and its consequences. Could a regional war be closer than ever now?

Israel's targeted assassination of Ismail Haniyeh is often portrayed as just another act of counter-terrorism. However, this narrative oversimplifies the complex and evolving nature of the Palestinian resistance. A more honest perspective is needed.
Since October 7th, Israeli officials, politicians, mainstream media, and foreign supporters of Israel have repeatedly equated Gaza's ruling militant groups with extremist organizations like the “Islamic State.” This comparison has also been extended to other factions within the broader Palestinian resistance.
However, the wild claim shatters when cross-checked against the group's political programs. Take a look, as we dive into the political programs of four of the armed factions currently based in Gaza.

The "Axis of Resistance" has reacted to the unprecedented assassination of a Palestinian leader by Israel, which represents one of the most serious escalations since October 7 and brings the Middle East closer to a regional war. Local media in Gaza are already reporting reactions from Palestinians who see the assassination primarily as the death of any prospect of diplomacy.

In possibly one of the gravest escalations since October 7, Israel is said to have assassinated Hamas political chief Ismail Haniyeh in Iran’s capital, Tehran. His death has been confirmed in separate statements by Hamas and Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps today.
The Palestinian resistance movement said Haniyeh was killed in “a treacherous Zionist raid on his residence in Tehran,” where he had been attending the swearing-in ceremony of the Islamic Republic’s new President, Masoud Pezeshkian.
While the Israeli army refuses to comment on the assassination, Israeli Heritage Minister Amihai Eliyahu said, “This is the right way to clean the world of this filth. No more imaginary peace/surrender agreements. No more mercy.”
The assassination has since been met with strong condemnation, particularly by Iran, which states that it “will defend its territorial integrity, honour, pride and dignity, and make the terrorist invaders regret their cowardly action.”

Heart-wrenching scenes are emerging from the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, where an Israeli airstrike targeted volunteers who were recovering bodies. This devastating massacre comes on the heels of new displacement orders from the Israeli army for residents of the Nuseirat and Bureij refugee camps, affecting approximately 29,000 people, now left with the impossible task of finding safety in a region where safe havens are nonexistent.

NOW: Lebanon’s Hezbollah has just launched a rocket volley towards Israeli targets in northern Occupied Palestine. The attack marks the group’s first retaliatory strike since Israel’s assassination of one of its top military leaders.
The attack comes just hours after Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah said that the Lebanese war front has entered into an open battle, a new phase, after Israel’s latest actions further fueled regional tensions.
Meanwhile, Iran, who also vowed to retaliate in the wake of the assassination of Hamas leader, Ismail Haniyeh, in Tehran, has also stated its intent to carry out a retaliatory action against Israel in self-defense in accordance with international law.

Today, 15 Palestinian prisoners were released from Israeli concentration camps. red. media spoke to the prisoners in Gaza about the torture they experienced and how they are mentally and physically battered.
Some Palestinians are kidnapped and taken to torture centers outside of Gaza, others are abused in makeshift concentration camps in Gaza itself. The torture they face is the same, ranging from starvation, sleep deprivation, beatings, and rape.
Of the thousands of Gazans detained, dozens have been murdered in custody. The real number of Palestinians killed in this way is likely far greater than we know.
The prisoners have also noted that the Israeli soldiers are well aware that they are not part of any political parties. The soldiers are intent on humiliating them just because of the fact that they are Palestinian.

In his first live appearance since Israel’s high-profile assassinations of commanders in Beirut Nasrallah delivered a speech, vowing retaliation against Israel. Here are our key takeaways:
🟡 Nasrallah announced that the Lebanese war front with Israel is no longer solely about assisting the Gaza front but an open battle with Israel that has entered a new phase.
🟡 Nasrallah said that for those seeking de-escalation, there is no other solution than putting an end to Israeli aggression in Gaza.
🟡 Hezbollah is not responsible for the attack on Majdal Shams, according to internal investigations, and would have admitted a mistake if there had been one.
🟡 None of the resistance fronts, in Yemen, Gaza, or Lebanon, will surrender the armed struggle against Israel.
🟡 Nasrallah said, “The enemy and those who stand behind the enemy must be prepared for retaliation, which will be certain.” Nasrallah said they are looking for “real retaliation,” not a “formal one.”

Venezuela’s chavistas hit the streets for the second time this week in a mass march rejecting the violence and coup attempts from right-wing groups who do not recognize the country’s election results.
Venezuela also enjoyed a diplomatic win at the Organization of American States (OAS) after a resolution condemning the government was not passed due to abstentions from Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, and others. Brazil and Colombia had been critical of President Maduro in the run up to the vote, but are still refusing to join the diplomatic attacks on the country.
Arrests of those who have taken part in pro-coup riots continue apace, with President Maduro confirming that over thousand people have been detained. The coming days will reveal which forces have the streets and power of mass mobilization.

red. media spoke to Palestinians in Gaza about the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh. The assassination of Haniyeh not only bears many consequences for Gaza but also for Palestine as a whole and the wider region.
Haniyeh was instrumental in the ongoing ceasefire negotiations, and with his killing, all hope among Gazans for a successful ceasefire agreement has been extinguished. The assassination, which is said to have been carried out by Israel, only proved to many that it has no interest in ending its genocidal war in Gaza.
While Palestinians in Gaza now expect further regional escalation of Israel’s genocidal war in Gaza, many refuse to let this development affect their determination even close to 10 months into the war.
“Palestinians will keep resisting, no matter the presence of Haniyeh or any other Palestinian leader. Palestine keeps resisting. We were shocked by this news, but it doesn’t mean the end of the resistance,” a resident in Gaza said.

On this day 18 years ago, a devastating Israeli airstrike shook the world as it claimed the lives of 28 civilians in southern Lebanon. The massacre occurred just a few years after Israel had bombed the same village, Qana, in 1996. Over 100 civilians were killed. Israel attempted to cover up the incident, claiming that the residential building was a legitimate military target, and refused to apologize. However, investigations conducted by human rights organizations contradict this version. Read on.

Pro-coup riots in Venezuela continued throughout the night as organized groups carried out arson attacks on public buildings, hospitals, and food storage warehouses, President Nicolás Maduro confirmed in a press conference.
Many of those arrested for disturbances last night were under the influence of controlled substances and had been paid $150 to join the mobilizations, revealed Maduro.
Police have cleared the affected areas, but continued clashes are expected later today. Chavista groups organized a vigil outside the presidential palace last night to guard against possible attacks.
The violent protests used similar tactics to those used during the “guarimba” riots of 2017. Although last night’s mobilizations were smaller, there was participation from those in working-class districts such as Petare that were once Chavista strongholds.

Destruction is all the Israeli military brings to Gaza as tens of thousands of Palestinians are forced on yet another mass exodus. Israel’s latest displacement orders targeted central Gaza, particularly the Bureij and Nuseirat refugee camps, an area already inundated with displaced people fleeing an Israeli assault in the south.
As a result of the displacement orders and subsequent attacks on the camps, hundreds of thousands of people from north to south have converged on Deir al-Balah, a small city in the center of the enclave. It remains the only major area yet to be stormed, as the Israeli army has been busy launching major operations across the Strip.
