While the US prepares another illegal war against Venezuela — remember this: in 2002, Washington backed a right-wing coup to topple Hugo Chávez. The people flooded the streets, defeated the coup in 47 hours, and brought their president back.

Francesca Albanese new report reveals how states actively enabled Israel’s oppression of Palestinians.
In Germany’s case:
- Knowingly provided arms and logistical support to Israel during a period recognized by international bodies as constituting genocide.
-Used its diplomatic influence to delay or weaken international ceasefire efforts.
-Ignored binding international obligations under the Genocide Convention and Arms Trade Treaty.
Is subject to international legal scrutiny for complicity and failure to prevent genocide.
Germany’s Role in Diplomatic Cover and Delayed Ceasefires
Germany together with the Netherlands and other Western states, Germany promoted the phrase “sustained ceasefire” — described in the report as watering down demands for an immediate and permanent cessation of violence.
ICJ noted that by May 2024, Third States, including Germany, had “actual or constructive knowledge” of genocide risk in Gaza — thus they had a heightened duty to prevent and cease assistance.

Germany’s so-called “mainstream” parties didn’t stop the far right — they mainstreamed it.
By parroting their anti-migrant rhetoric and chasing their talking points, they handed extremists the power to set the national agenda.

Normalization of racism in Germany:
The German Chancellor calls migration a “problem for the cityscape” in the very same speech where he praises the deportation of non-Germans.
The very same German government accuses me of “social discord” — for reporting on state violence against pro-Palestine protests.
The hidden racism and hypocrisy of Europe is just next level.
Journalist: “lYou said Russia should pay for Ukraine’s reconstruction. Should Israel pay for Gaza’s?
EU Commission Rep.: “Interesting question… no comment.”
Today marks the 62th anniversary of Yemen's October Revolution of 1963. This revolution evolved into a four-year armed struggle between the National Liberation Front, the country's largest anti-colonial movement, and the British Empire. It resulted in the permanent expulsion of British military forces from Yemen and the dismantling of the crown colony of Aden. The last colonial soldier left Yemen on November 30, 1967, paving the way for the official proclamation of the People's Republic of South Yemen. In 1969, it became the People's Democratic Republic of Yemen, the only Marxist-Leninist state to have ever existed in the Arab world.

Just to be clear: we’re celebrating Israel’s possible — future, maybe, or maybe not — commitment to the bare minimum of human rights and international law. That alone shows how low our standards have fallen.

Che Guevara was executed on this day in 1967. Did you know that his executioner, Bolivian soldier Mario Terán, was cured of blindness by Cuban doctors?
After retiring into a life of poverty under the neoliberal governments he had defended, Terán was blinded from cataracts in his old age. Then in 2005, Evo Morales was elected president in Bolivia. He brought in Cuban doctors that performed cataract surgery free of charge for working class Bolivians. Terán was among the beneficiaries.
October 7: Anti-colonial uprising or “terror”?
Two years ago, the Al-Aqsa Flood shook the world and reignited a question: Is Oct 7 part of the anti-colonial struggle?
It echoes past revolutions—but what does anti-colonialism mean for Palestine today?
Watch the full breakdown.

The undefeated revolutionary military leader Vo Nguyen Giap, the Vietnamese People's Army general who defeated US imperialism and French colonialism, died on this day in 2013. He was nicknamed "Red Napoleon" by the West – a flawed Eurocentric comparison because, unlike Napoleon, Giap never lost a war.
The son of the village teacher who grew up to become an army leader, he taught painful lessons to the best French generals with colonial and world war experience, as well as to the best US generals. Giáp did not attend courses at a military academy, nor did he have any direct military training before World War II.
He took military control of revolutionary forces in World War II, the Vietnam War in 1945, the First Indochina War, the US war against Vietnam in 1955, the Vietnam-Cambodia War, and the Sino-Vietnamese War. The Communist Party of Vietnam remembered Giap as "one of the leading practitioners of modern revolutionary guerrilla warfare in the 20th century."
War criminal Netanyahu took the stage at the UN — and almost the entire hall emptied in protest.

Indonesia faces one of its largest and most militant protests in years. And it's not making headlines here.
Students and trade unions demand better education and higher wages. The unrest turned deadly, with one person killed.
After police killed a taxi driver, protests in Indonesia escalated further.
Demonstrators set fire to the parliament, as the government deployed thousands of police and military personnel.
After more than 280 journalists killed in Gaza, German chancellor Friedrich Merz still denies that Israel is systematically targeting and killing Palestinian journalists.

"Press freedoms have been under attack in Germany. The most severe case of repression against a journalist in Germany, not by the German state itself but by the EU, is the case of Hüseyin Doğru." İnterview by Unicorn Riot

Germany’s Foreign Ministry stripped me of my journalist status & labeled me a “disinformation actor” for exposing its role in the genocide in Palestine.
When governments decide who is press — democracy is dead.
Next step: call me a spy and jail me?
I’ve published all the evidence the EU used to sanction me — journalistic work & personal tweets anyone can see: LINK
Watch Fidel Castro’s iconic speech in Harlem, New York, held today in 1995, about the successes of the Cuban revolution.
Castro received a rapturous reception in the predominantly Black area not only because of his strong anti-racist and anti-imperialist credentials, but also due to the success of the Cuban Revolution.
Following a speech at the United Nations General Assembly, Castro wasn't welcomed at a reception held by then US President Bill Clinton at the New York Public Library.
Instead, he returned to Harlem, an area he had previously visited in 1960 when he visited the UN for the first time as the Cuban leader.
Back then he was invited to stay at the Theresa Hotel by Malcolm X leading to a historic meeting between the two revolutionary leaders.
German media calls Gaza “partially destroyed.”
That’s not journalism — that’s propaganda and disinformation. A genocide dressed up in soft words to protect the killers.
Germany — the self-proclaimed champion of democracy and human rights — is finally being put in its place. The hypocrisy had to catch up sooner or later.

On this day in 1987, African revolutionary Thomas Sankara was killed in a Western-backed coup. After becoming President of Burkina Faso in 1983, he became a symbol of African liberation. He implemented a program influenced by Marxism-Leninism, pan-Africanism, and women’s liberation. However, forces within the state collaborated with Western powers to overthrow Sankara and roll back the societal gains that had been won up until 1987.

On the anniversary of Che Guevara’s death, we remember the time he visited Gaza on the invitation of Egypt’s anti-colonial leader Gamal Abdel Nasser.
58 years after his death, Palestinians are a living embodiment of his spirit as they wage a heroic struggle for liberation against one of the most heavily armed colonial forces on the planet.

The Chilean revolutionary and one of the founders of the Revolutionary Left Movement (MIR), Miguel Enríquez, fell victim to a targeted assassination on this day in 1974. That afternoon, the Chilean secret police (DINA) surrounded Enríquez’s house and opened fire.
Inspired by the Cuban Revolution, Enríquez helped found the MIR in 1965. Under his leadership, the MIR wasn’t actively opposed to the leftist government of Salvador Allende but was a vocal critic of its reformism, pursuing instead the arming and organization of the masses.
Allende’s overthrow confirmed Enríquez’s doubts about a revolutionary process within Chile’s institutional boundaries. He drew lessons from Chile’s turmoil, holding firm to his belief that “in Chile, the left has not failed, socialism has not failed, nor has the revolution failed, nor have the workers failed.”
Rest in Peace Assata Shakur!
According to the Cuban Foreign Ministry, Shakur died Thursday from “health ailments and her advanced age.”

URGENT: The European Council rejected my lawyers' application to "reconsider" the sanctions imposed on me.
The "evidence" is shocking and dangerous, which forces me now to publish the entire evidence used to sanction me.
The EU forbids me from publishing their evidence dossier.
To recap: I was sanctioned for pro-Palestine reporting, including documenting the repression of activists in Germany + the EU. The EU Council labeled this as "undermining" & "threatening" EU stability, and used this to falsely frame my work within Russian disinformation efforts.
