Thomas Sewell said outside court that the push by Victoria's DPP to jail him again over a clash with hikers was a "political witch-hunt".
He was sentenced to 1 month and 7 days' jail, but had already spent 210 days in solitary confinement.

The system has brought @Thomas_Sewell and @JacobHersant back into court after having already done the time they were sentenced to serve. This is a politically motivated anti-White attack. They've taken two men who've already served their time and decided they may sentence them again for more time. We're of course setting aside the fact that the original charge was a complete setup and the people they "assaulted" were antifascists who attacked them.

Today myself and @jacobhersant were appealed to the Supreme Court as the police are trying to get more prison time out of us regarding an incident 3 years ago.
Here are some quotes from today's news.
>During the sentencing, County Court Judge Kellie Blair said the pair were young fathers with little prior contact with the criminal justice system. Blair said the offending was at the lower end of the spectrum, and believed their prospects of rehabilitation were good, which prompted an outpouring of disbelief from extremism experts.
“Good luck with the future, gentlemen,” Blair said as she left the bench.
Outside court, Sewell claimed the appeal was a “political witch hunt”.
When asked about how life on remand was in solitary confinement, he replied: “meditative”.

Representing Sewell, barrister Dermot Dann KC, said the appeal was “highly questionable” and should never have been brought.
He said Judge Blair had taken all points Mr Kissane raised in her consideration of sentence, and the previous prosecutor had failed to challenge any of these same points in the County Court.
Mr Dann told the court that his client had endured 210 days in custody in the “hardest conditions imaginable”, and Judge Blair had taken this into account.
“This court has always been hesitant to return an offender to custody after he has gained his liberty,” he said.
Hersant’s barrister, Christopher Carr SC, argued the sentence imposed on his client “met the seriousness” of the offending given he was only 22 and had no prior convictions for violence.
“He has dedicated himself to completing the hours he was required to do,” he said.
“For a relatively young first-time offender that is a relatively serious imposition.”
The appeal, before justices Karen Emerton, Maree Kennedy and Christopher Boyce, continues.
