The answer is {1, -1}, while solving the inequalities , i get x>=-1 and x<=1 and x≠0, but the book answer is discrete values of +1 and -1, i can't understand why, please help me

Request My family thinks my role as a caregiver is meaningless and unimportant. Can you do the math on how much my labor is valued on the free market?
I am 31 years old and I have been a caregiver since I was 19 years old.
Here is a list of my duties and responsibilities:
Preparing tax documents, preparing medical documents, driving her to and from appointments, doing her grocery shopping, getting oil changes, cleaning the house, heavy lifting objects over 50 pounds, cleaning out her garage (which was basically a hoarder’s garage), painting the whole house two times, ripping up carpet, preparing meals, assistance with personal hygiene and grooming.
Giving haircuts, attending medical appointments, helping my mom get out of the bathtub by herself, calling 911 during seizures, doing laundry, picking out clothes for her to wear, Christmas shopping, organizing and maintaining personal documents, pet care, monitoring her B12 deficiency, driving her to religious services, troubleshooting technology, preparing the home for visitors, providing guidance and support for mental health.
Planting trees, car shopping, mending clothes, assistance with online shopping and technology, coordinating with lawyers for legal affairs, ensuring home is free of tripping hazards, taking the trash to the curb, picking up medicine from the pharmacy, taking her to the bank to make a new account or discuss personal finances.
Driving her to see friends up to four hours away, care and treatment of household plants, the organization of digital photos, paying for extensive dental care out of pocket, home management, constant companionship, health monitoring and advocacy, food preparation, administering the abdominal thrust during a life or death situation, protecting her from online scammers, being “on-call” 24/7, and more.

I know I gave a long list… but if you could even just let me know what a 24/7 on-call caregiver for 13 years (who has to do heavy lifting and drive out of town up to 4 hours away) would be worth, that would go a long way.
