⚡️ How to Keep Your Tonkeeper Account Secure

Dear friends, here is your reminder to safely store your data securely and stay vigilant online. Please follow these rules to ensure your crypto data remains safe.

Keeping Seed Phrase Secret Is Key

A seed phrase, also known as a seed recovery phrase, is a list of 24 words that store the information necessary to recover your account in case you lose access to it. It is crucial to store the seed phrase securely and never share it with anyone. As a non-custody wallet on the TON network, Tonkeeper cannot recover access to wallets without the seed phrase.

⚠️ Do not share the 24-word recovery phrase with anyone; only scammers will ask for it.
⚠️ The Tonkeeper team will never DM you first or ask for funds.
⚠️ Beware of external links or files shared online — don’t click or download anything.

How to Access Seed Phrase in Tonkeeper

1. Go to Settings.
2. Tap on the option “Back Up”.
3. Copy the seed phrase and store it in a safe place.

If a wallet is accidentally deleted or lost, the seed phrase can be used to restore the wallet from anywhere and at any time. However, if it falls into the wrong hands, it can be used against you and cost you all your crypto savings.

Tips for keeping your crypto wallet safe:

1. Never give your seed phrase to anyone. Tonkeeper support team, engineering team, CEO or even the Pope himself will never ask for it. Only scammers want your recovery phrase.

2. Do not enter your 24-word recovery phrase on any website. Tonkeeper has designed secure Ton Connect standard for app-to-wallet communication so users can sign specific transactions without sharing access to your account.

3. Do not trust unexpected tokens that you receive. Anyone can create a token. As our community grows, so does the number of scam attempts. Don’t fall for them. If you receive an unexpected message, always treat it with caution.

4. Tonkeeper support or team never DMs first.

😎 Multi-Wallet Accounts in Tonkeeper Pro

Friends, we are pleased to introduce a new feature in Tonkeeper Pro! Users can create special accounts to generate multiple internal wallets. The feature is now in beta.

How to start:

1. Open Tonkeeper Pro
2. Select "Add Wallet" and create a "New Multi-Wallet Account"
3. Choose the settings on the right side of the account
4. Create as many sub-accounts within the main account as you need
5. Manage and customize your multi-account in Tonkeeper Pro
6. When creating a multi-account, a user needs to set up a single backup recovery phrase that can be used to restore access to all wallets linked to the Tonkeeper Pro account

Users can set up additional recovery phrases for each wallet and use them in the Tonkeeper app.

The free version of Tonkeeper Pro allows the creation of up to three child wallets, each with a unique address. The wallets are not traceable to the parent or sibling wallets.

With the Pro subscription, you can create an unlimited number of wallets, with the desktop version supporting up to 500 wallets.

👋 Hey Friends! We've been getting a lot of questions about DOGS and Tonkeeper recently, so here are the answers to some of the most common ones.

Why are recent transactions not listed in wallet history?

Due to blockchain congestion, some transactions may not immediately appear in your wallet history. The Tonkeeper team is aware of the issue and is actively working on improving stability and ensuring accurate data display.

What to do when a swap hasn’t gone through despite confirmation?

Due to current network congestion, processing all on-chain transactions, including swaps, may take longer than usual. While we cannot speed up the process, you can be sure transactions will be completed.

Why are transactions taking so long?

Network congestion is causing delays in transaction confirmations. This is temporary, and the Tonkeeper team is doing everything possible to speed up the process. Tonkeeper is monitoring the situation closely and taking all possible steps to minimize the impact of these delays on customers to ensure a smooth experience.

When will the "Claim onchain" button be available in DOGS?

Unfortunately, this information is currently unknown. To stay up to date on the latest DOGS news, stay tuned to the official @dogs_community channel for updates.

What is the fee for claiming $DOGS?

Claiming $DOGS will require approximately 0.5 TON.

How to withdraw DOGS:

1. Go to @dogshouse_bot.

2. Click Connect wallet and claim. Choose Tonkeeper to connect your wallet to the app, and confirm it in Tonkeeper. Make sure to select the correct wallet to withdraw $DOGS tokens.

3. Click Claim on-chain to withdraw $DOGS to Tonkeeper.

4. Launch the TokenTable pop-up window and then click next.

5. Click Connect wallet, and select your Tonkeeper wallet to make a withdrawal.

6. Finally, claim your tokens by clicking claim! You will need to confirm the withdrawal by sliding a blue arrow.

7. Receive your $DOGS in Tonkeeper.

After confirming the withdrawal to Tonkeeper, $DOGS tokens will be sent to your wallet.

Want to exchange the tokens? The easiest way to do so is to use Tonkeeper’s built-in swap feature to exchange $DOGS for $TON or $USDT:

In Tonkeeper’s main screen, click swap, then enter the amount of DOGS to exchange to TON or USDT.
With the excitement around $DOGS, millions are claiming their tokens right now. This might cause some transaction delays. We're monitoring everything closely to ensure smooth processing, but despite our best efforts, transactions may take a bit longer than normal.

⛽️ Don’t forget you can use the Tonkeeper Battery to cover any gas fees incurred with no TON required!

Open the Tonkeeper app, select Settings and top up your Battery with your credit card. Charge it and exchange $DOGS for TON or USDT without having to worry about paying gas in crypto.

The network is currently overloaded. Here’s what you need to know:

• Transactions are being confirmed and credited much slower than usual.

Yesterday, on Thursday 26, TON network received a 3x increase in transactions per second as a result of Hamster Kombat's token listing.

TonAPI, the incredible infrastructure behind Tonkeeper, Tonkeeper Pro, Tonviewer and hundreds of other apps and services in TON's ecosystem, has received a record 300 000 of requests per second and handled 1,500,000 connections simultaneously. At the peak, TonAPI handled 10x load.

While other services experienced downtime and runaway delays for hours, TonAPI worked throughout the day (apart from a couple minor hiccups on one of the API handles). Our team worked non-stop monitoring the infrastructure, making emergency configuration updates and rolling out fixes.

Tonkeeper made using HMSTR a breeze: First, we rolled out Tonkeeper Battery in-app purchases for Android, so users could pay blockchain fees with a banking card in a single click. We're thrilled to announce that Hamster Kombat has just been listed. Here are some handy tips for navigating Hamster operations within Tonkeeper:

1. Go to @hamster_kombat_bot.

2. Select the "Airdrop" option to transfer $HMSTR tokens to Tonkeeper.

If you previously connected your Tonkeeper wallet to Hamster Kombat via ‘On-chain Airdrop’, your tokens will go into your wallet.

If you haven't connected Tonkeeper to Hamster Kombat, choose Direct Claim to withdraw $HMSTR and transfer tokens to Tonkeeper for safe storage and management.

Make sure to select the correct wallet address for the withdrawal. The tokens will be sent to that address.

3. Receive $HMSTR in Tonkeeper.

What is a multisig wallet?

A multisig wallet, short for a multi-signature wallet, is a cryptocurrency wallet that uses two or more individual private keys to authorize transactions. Tonkeeper Education Hub: Transaction Status

Hi friends! We’re here with the new installment of the education hub where we look into complex blockchain ideas and discuss them in an easy-to-understand manner. This week, we’re examining the lifecycle of a transaction on the Ton blockchain, from initiation to confirmation.

Transactions on TON

A TON transaction is a state change on the blockchain. It comprises a series of messages, each carrying specific instructions and data.

These messages can be categorized into:

Inbound messages — messages that originate from external sources and are processed by a TON account.
Outbound messages — messages sent from one TON account to another Ton account or to an external destination.
Internal messages — messages sent within different components of the same TON account.

For a transaction to be successful, all its constituent messages must execute without errors. If even one message fails, the entire transaction is marked as failed.

The Transaction Lifecycle

A TON transaction undergoes a multi-step process before confirmation:

- Transaction Creation. A transaction is meticulously constructed with the necessary details. It is initiated by either a user or a smart contract and digitally signed by the sender to authenticate its origin.
- Broadcast. The signed transaction is disseminated across the TON network and is accessible to all participating nodes.
- Transaction Pooling. The transaction is temporarily stored in a pool of pending transactions. Network nodes validate its signature and format to ensure compliance with network rules.
- Block Inclusion. A validator selects the transaction for inclusion in a newly generated block through a competitive process. Transactions with higher fees generally have a priority.
- Confirmation. Once the block containing the transaction is successfully added to the blockchain, the transaction is considered confirmed. Subsequent blocks built upon it further solidify this confirmation.
- Events — The Building Blocks of Transaction Information
Events are specific actions or occurrences that happen during a transaction. They provide granular details about the transaction's progress and outcome.

Common types of events include:

Transfer events — Indicate the transfer of value between accounts.
Contract call events — Represent interactions with smart contracts.
Message sent events — Record messages sent to other accounts.
Message received events — Capture incoming messages.
Status changed events — Reflect changes in the transaction's status.

By analyzing events, users and developers can see what specific actions were performed, which can provide insights into transaction successes and failures.

Transaction Confirmation

A transaction on TON is considered confirmed when it has been included in a block as it is processed by a sufficient number of validators. The confirmation process ensures the transaction's immutability and prevents double-spending. The number of confirmations required for a transaction to be finalized can vary depending on the specific needs of the application. While a higher number of confirmations generally provides greater security for a transaction, it can also lead to increased transaction latency.

Understanding the Status of a Transaction

To comprehend the current state of a transaction on the TON blockchain, several methods can be employed:

Utilize Transaction Explorers — TON block explorers, such as Tonscan or Tonviewer, can be leveraged, offering a comprehensive approach to understanding transaction status.

Scrutinize Transaction Data — A fundamental step in assessing transaction status involves examining the transaction's core data points.

Investigate Event Logs — A deeper understanding of a transaction's progression can be achieved through the analysis of event logs.

What smart contracts are

The name “smart contract” is a bit misleading because smart contracts are not, in fact, contracts.
A smart contract is a self-executing program running on the blockchain. It is often compared to the if-then statement in code: If a set of conditions for the transactions is fulfilled, then a smart contract automatically executes, and the resulting transaction is immediately published on the blockchain.

Let’s say Tom wants to buy an NFT from Tim for 10 TON. If Tom pays 10 TON, then the smart contract executes. As a result, Tom is the new owner of the NFT and is 10 TON lighter, while Tim receives the payment for his NFT.

The advantages of smart contracts:

- Fast – a smart contract self-executes as soon as all conditions are met.
- No intermediary required – no third party is required as everything is automated.
- Immutable and secure – the original smart contract cannot be altered once published on the blockchain.

What are smart contracts used for?

Smart contracts can have extensive use cases and are ubiquitous on the blockchain. They are at the heart of every decentralized application (dApp). Companies across multiple industries have also adopted smart contracts, including JPMorgan Chase, Walmart, Maersk, and Microsoft.

Just to give you the overall scope of how common smart contracts are, here is the breakdown of the most common use cases:

1.Decentralized Finance (DeFi). Smart contracts power decentralized exchanges and facilitate lending and borrowing services as well as staking and yield farming.
2. Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs). Smart contracts are used for minting NFTs and trading them on marketplaces. They can also be used to enforce royalties when an NFT is resold.
3. Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs). DAOs use smart contracts to manage voting processes, treasury management, and decision-making without centralized control.
4. Token Issuance, Management, and Token Standards.
5. Payment Channels. Smart contracts can be used for micropayments and recurring payments.
6. Gaming and Virtual Goods. Smart contracts are used to manage in-game assets and play-to-earn game mechanics.

TON has garnered significant attention for its high throughput, scalability, and low transaction costs. However, like any blockchain network, it operates on a fee-based system. Understanding these fees is crucial for users to effectively manage the TON holdings and optimize their transactions.

How do TON Fees Work?

When making a crypto transaction, users are usually required to pay a gas fee. TON fees included in gas are complex and depend on several factors. Have a look at the fee formula below.

TransactionFee = StorageFees + InFwdFees + ComputationFees + ActionFees + OutFwdFees

Let’s break it down and discuss each factor that comes into play:

- Storage_fee is the cost of storing the smart contract (including the TON wallet) on the blockchain. This is essentially rent paid by the second.
- in_fwd_fee is a charge for importing messages from outside the TON blockchain into the TON network for validators to process.
- computation_fee is the cost of running the smart contract code on the TON virtual machine, and The more complex code the higher the fee is.
- action fee is the cost of processing an action triggered by the smart contract execution, like sending messages to other contracts.
- out_fwd_fee (not currently implemented) is a charge for sending messages out of the TON network to interact with external services.

The average gas price when sending any amount of TON sits around 0.0055 TON. Transactions are expected to remain below $0.01, even if the price of TON increases significantly. This is a stark contrast to the often exorbitant fees seen on other popular blockchains.

🔋Tonkeeper Battery
