Ohh!! That virus still exist these days too? I had infected my dad's laptop too in 2013.. It affects the every USB device you connect and hides the original files and only makes shortcuts to them right?

These virus spreads from Chinese rooting apps and unlocking apps or similar.. Don't worry, the fix is easy..

Hi Guys, I'm currently working in an organisation as an IT Executive (Hardware Management). I need some help, currently I'm distributing the laptops and desktops to the employee by just installing and configuring with the required software and apps & 1 remote desktop app for access the system. But now my organisation want to access the whole system anytime and anywhere and the data backup also from those devices. Like if someone left the organisation and not provide essential data to the company then we already have the backup of that data. So please suggest and help me how can I perform this task?

First uninstall the rooting apps and unlocking apps, scan your computer for viruses, remove any threats..

After removing the virus, you are ready to recover your files..

Connect your USB without selecting autorun option..
Open that drive in Explorer..
Select and check view -> Options -> advanced -> show hidden files
You will see a folder with the name "<SPACE>"(that name won't be visible but folder icon is visible)..
Open that folder and voilla, your original files will be there.. You can copy somewhere and format your infected USB disk later..

Most likely a shortcut virus.
Most antivirus can sort it out, best you use Microsoft Security Essentials or Defender.

Do a full scan or Microsoft Offline Scan and it should identify the problem and solve it
