Here's how you can resolve this:

Steps to Fix:

1. Check for Unwanted Startup Entries:

Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.

Go to the Startup tab.

Look for any suspicious or unknown startup items related to start.js or scripts.

Disable them if they seem unnecessary or unrecognized.



2. Use System Configuration (msconfig):

Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog.

Type msconfig and press Enter.

Go to the Startup tab (in Windows 10, it redirects to Task Manager).

Look for any startup items referencing this script and disable them.



3. Check the Registry:

Press Windows + R, type regedit, and press Enter to open the Registry Editor.

Navigate to these locations and check for any entries referencing start.js:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run


If you find an entry related to start.js, back up the registry (File → Export) and then delete the entry.



4. Scan for Malware:

Run a full system scan using your antivirus software or a trusted malware scanner, such as Malwarebytes.

The script reference might be a remnant of malware or a failed script execution.



5. Verify User Startup Folder:

Navigate to C:\Users\KHASILASS\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup (you may need to enable hidden files to see this).

Look for any .js or unknown files and remove them if they're unnecessary.



6. Disable Windows Script Host (Optional): If you don't use Windows Script Host, you can disable it to prevent such errors:

Open Registry Editor.

Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows Script Host\Settings.

Set the value of Enabled to 0.
