you can just select different dates to see the behaviour, it's really not that difficult
select July 1 -> all the other dates will have a number, that number should be the cheapest price if you return on that particular date
so July 1 and return same day is most expensive. the more green it is, the cheaper lor

Until now I still don't understand. Does that mean the outbound flight on 1 Jul is $488? And inbound on 29 Jul is $249. So total is $737 but it's not.
