Unacceptable. So what they’re saying is that we know there are issues with our election machines, and by extension, our election in general, but we “don’t have time to fix what makes ‘our democracy’ a democracy.” This is like saying we know your baby sitter is a proven rapist but we just don’t have time to reschedule. 🤬

For all the promises that our elections are safe and secure, a major news outlet is now reporting that the voting machines that will be used this November have a number of vulnerabilities, and there is no time to fix them.

Last weekend, a group of hackers convened in Las Vegas for a planned conference that included trying to hack into voting machines so that the vulnerabilities could be exposed and addressed. But according to Politico, there simply is not enough time to fix the problems they found before Election Day.

But of course, the primary concern with the hackers’ findings is not that these vulnerabilities exist, but rather that they will provide fodder for those who are concerned that our elections are insecure and are vulnerable to fraud.

I am currently listening to a TPUSA rep at an event in Arizona talking about ballot chasing, lamenting Trump’s “loss” there and Lake’s et al “loss” in 2022 as a byproduct of “not enough Republicans voting.”

For the love of God, Trump’s gains statewide and in Maricopa were all time GOP net vote gain RECORDS for one cycle in a state that voted for all but one GOP presidential nominee from 1952 through 2016.

Trump had MORE votes than Arizona had registered Republicans. I’ve had enough of people supposedly on our side blaming voters for not showing up to vote when they are setting all time records.

The World Health Organization (WHO) declared mpox to be a public health emergency of international concern (PHEIC) on Wednesday

"Today, the Emergency Committee met and advised me that in its view, the situation constitutes a public health emergency of international concern. I have accepted that advice," said WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus during a media briefing on Wednesday.

PHEICs were most recently declared for the COVID-19 pandemic and the previous mpox outbreak of 2022.
