While Israel will undoubtedly and unfortunately kill much more civilians in the following days and possibly weeks, we should always remember who started this brutal war and by which methods. You should never punch first even if you think you are in the right.

There was no need for this. Palestinians could have attempted to voice their concerns democratically, but many of them chose terror.

Both the Israelis and Palestinians will suffer as a result but Palestinians much more so. Best outcome for Gaza is removing HAMAS from power and temporary Israeli military occupation. Worse outcome is ethnic cleansing. Both are equally likely. Emotions guiding diplomacy are never good.

That’s my pessimistic assessment of the conflict before I go to sleep
