PS: It also appears that this guy doesn't even watch my videos lol. PS2: Also there's a bunch of people who were doing follow4follow before becoming popular. I never did that and grew organically. The people I am following are the people whose opinions I am genuinely interested in hearing.
I can see why the Crimean Tatars were deported, and why the Lithuanians were treated far more favorably than the Latvians and Estonians, who were subjected to far heavier waves of Russian colonization. Even in comparison, not that many Gazans have fought for or actively collaborated with Hamas. The numbers are insane.
Likewise, Ukrainians overall had very limited collaboration with the Germans. The Russian and Polish claim that Ukrainians were major Nazi collaborators is not supported by evidence—unless one restricts the argument to Western Ukraine, where most of the actual collaboration took place. Russian Germans were also relatively loyal unlike Polish and Czech Germans who were always Germany First.
Relative strength of Ukrainian political movements and some commentary:
Militarist parties – ~30% support
Centrist non-ideological parties (Zelensky and similar freaks)– ~27% support
Far-right / ultranationalist (incl. neo-Nazi) – ~8% support
Conservative-Liberal Nationalist (not that others aren’t and yea its Poroshenko)– ~7% support
Center-left (the only social-democratic party “Batkivschina”) – ~3.6% support
Pro-Russian parties (Arestovych and pro-peace party which is what now qualifies as being pro-Russian)– ~3% support
Basically 60% non-ideological and near authoritarian slop which is also pro-EU and defensively nationalistic. About 20% are committed ideological nationalists, some leftoids and even fewer pro-Russians.
Btw, while leftoids are not as represented in parties explicitly, they’re pretty much felt across the centrist block which enacts their agenda anyway (without branding itself as being on the left).
Regardless, this doesn’t look good for democracy. Going down the militarist path is likely an even worse choice than sticking with Zelensky. Ukrainians complain about the war and forced mobilization, yet many say they’d support a Budanov–Zaluzhny coalition? That’s pure cognitive dissonance. Personally, I’d rather stick with Zelensky—or even go back to Poroshenko (assuming Zelensky doesn’t throw him in jail first)—than endorse that.

🥺I’ve opened a Minecraft server that will run for at least one month. It’s in vanilla mode (no plugins), with no seeds, and the world is limited to 5,000 blocks (it may increase later if you want) to create a sense of scarcity, but otherwise a classic Minecraft game. The sole remaining arena in which China has yet to surpass the United States is the cultural one. Despite its advanced manufacturing capacity and impressive infrastructure, China remains culturally impoverished. Its domestic film industry produces little of international merit, with the few notable successes largely emerging from Hong Kong rather than the mainland. Indian cinema, for all its excesses, utterly dwarfs China’s output.
This calls to mind Russia — a nation that displayed economic might in the 18th and 20th centuries yet contributed comparatively little to high culture, while in the 19th century the opposite was true: a stagnant economy alongside an extraordinary flourishing of literature, music, and thought.
Other nations too stand as examples of cultural barrenness despite immense economic and technological sophistication — most notably Israel and the wealthy Arab states.
Authoritarian, religious, and collectivist regimes, it seems, are condemned to a kind of lopsided genius: capable of excelling in industry or in culture, but never in both at once.
Indeed, one may go further: authoritarian, non-Western states may not even be capable of producing high-quality films, literature, or other media at all.
The record of history and geography suggests that high culture flourishes only where Western norms are firmly established. There is no way around it.
American views of the Japanese are generally positive. The Japanese attitudes towards the Americans are generally negative.
