At this point improving app sorting in the App Drawer is not something anyone in the core dev team is working on, so it would need a community member with some coding skills to step up and make a pr for it. I for one would love to see some form of category based app sorting enabled for the App Drawer. Back in 15.04 this actually existed in fact, but was broken, so maybe there is some legacy code that could be updated towards this.

also will there be any way to separate desktop/mobile apps, just having folders would be enough for most people, myself included
