Hey, everybody! Who knows if Ubuntu Touch Focal supports wireless screens? I'm trying to connect, it sees the screen, but when trying to connect immediately becomes gray with the inscription disconnected and after a while comes out an error “There was an unexplained error when connecting to ScreenName”

I don't know, for me when protection starts to suffer from madness (seriously, how can simply replacing some terrible MIUI with a good lightweight LineageOS cause harm) then it's no longer protection but an obstacle.... Because I can understand protection against Root, where you can really do bad things, but protection against the user wanting to get rid of the junk created by bad programmers and turning such a simple process as switching to another OS into a complete nightmare is no longer protection, it's madness.
(I don't claim to be right, it's just my opinion on the situation)
Anyhow, since this is more of a Waydroid issue than an Ubuntu Touch issue, it might be best discussed in one of the Waydroid groups.

Legally? It's not like we're stealing the source code of their systems from Google. We're just putting patches that make the devices legitimate from a GPay.... point of view. So I don't quite understand why there is a violation of the law, because if we use the same logic, then Root should also be a problem with the law, because we literally break the system from the inside and violate all the defense mechanisms, but I haven't seen any news that someone has been sued for this....

There is one idea, on Russian forums for a long time already lies such an instruction I think will work on Waydroid as well
We need 3 things
1. Magisk with Zygote and MagiskHide enabled
2. SafetyNetFix module - fixes Safety Net check which is broken after getting Root
3. IntegrityFix module - fixes Integrity check which is necessary for secure applications like GPay.
However, there is one problem here... There is no Magisk on Waydroid now, all projects are abandoned, I have worked only 1 script and it installed Magisk but broke the image, I have Google Play services started to crash in error and also damaged the internal system files (when starting Waydroid gives the error “Internal error occurred, contact the manufacturer of the device for detailed instructions") ..... So we need to first come up with a reliable method of installing Magisk and then use it to make Google think that we have legitimate devices
Yaste is the only app I have ever paid for, and that works. But ymmv.

that doesn't change the fact that waydroid isn't a "normal app", launching waydroid will kill NFC on UT and killing waydroid will restore NFC on UT

Well... I don't have Tesla but if it doesn't depend on Play Integrity like Google Pay then yes you can use it for Tesla too (at least try it, I'm curious how it will work)

No, I'm trying run waydroid without any UT NFC native apps, and mifare classic tag really kill NFC module (maybe try disable NFC in UT?)

you're mixing Waydroid and UT native apps trying to use NFC while Waydroid is running, that won't work since the hardware works on an exclusive access premise. starting waydroid stops nfcd daemon on host side and it restarts after you close waydroid again
It uses the kernel and some binary blobs, I think they're drivers.

yes root is the very reason play integrity and safetynet exist. We're basically trying to circumvent that— or in simple terms: in the war between security and hackers, these fixes are on the hackers side

Any applications that strictly check Play Integrity will not work, so banks and other applications that try very (even too much) hard to protect their applications will simply not work..... Because as you can see from the screenshots we completely lack Play Integrity.... However, if you fix it... Everything will work and we will even have the whole range of applications working (well almost)

The Google Wallet app may work, but Google Pay does not. It immediately cuts me off when I try to add a card for contactless payment, saying that my software is not certified

How does Google Pay refuse to work on Waydroid? When you initialized your container, did you also tell it to enable GApps support? I just installed Google Wallet on my Pixel 3a under Waydroid, and it works fine.
