In general Bluetooth on my Volla X23 works quite well. I had much more problems with bluetooth on UT in the past with other devices.
* B&O headphones: no issues
* JBL headphones: no issues
* Logitech keyboard: no issues
* Tesla S P85D: no issues
But with an almost identical car, there are issues
* Tesla S 85: after terminating a call, the connection doesn't end. I have to manually disconnect and re-connect every time.
And with the boat it is even worse:
* Candela C8: In order to establish a bluetooth connection, I have to cold reboot both the phone and the boat computer. The same dance every day. It works as long as the connection stays established, and I am playing music. But as soon as the connection is drops, the only way to re-establish a connection is to cold reboot both devices.
Is there anything I can do to make this process easier or to troubleshoot the issue? I think the boat computer runs on FreeRTOS: https://github.com/CandelaSpeedBoat/FreeRTOS-LTS

Found that in logs.. No audio video playback is working. And when I call on this number, it does receive the call, but switches off right away.

Sure thank you for letting me know , Back in 2011 , When i was working with Meegotouch , We created a carmode app , That was the inspiration for my thoughts :) , Its more like a minimalistic homescreen to avoid driver dsitraction etc :)

I don't think that's possible for a confined app.
Also in many countries I think this is illegal to handle your phone even with modified UI...
A way to get the functionality you're looking for would be voice commands.
But it probably requires to be unconfined to actually make the call or pick one up.

I’m planning to work on a Car Mode app for Ubuntu Touch to provide a safe, distraction-free interface for driving (large buttons for calls, maps, music, etc.).
Quick check:
Is there currently any API or safe interface to access call history, incoming/outgoing call states, or read SMS/messages from within a confined app?
If not, are there any ongoing discussions or plans to expose such functionality (even in a limited, read-only way) for apps like Car Mode?
My intention is to build something useful for the community while respecting UT’s privacy/security model, but these APIs would significantly enhance the usability of an in-car mode app.

if even that doesn't work, that means your provider does not support 2G or 3G calling anymore

volte stands for Voice Over LTE, so if you are on a 4G connection, it will try to go try volte
