oauth server, we use keycloak in company, it was easy to setup, you can run it in docker

You can use it without, it's just less convenient.
No one need anything else then eat and breath. The rest is just desire...

I hope to find enough free time to get a working tesla app, but I'm currently stuck as I need to set an oauth server and get an API key to start the real dev.

Hi, as far as I know they expect some results "soon".
Everyone has their own definition of soon.
But my bet would be to hear something from them this summer.
We are still in contact with them and are very excited for when Ubuntu Touch will be available on the Brax3

Follow the instructions and you should be fine. It works again on Windows (11) as the drivers seem to be working again. Use the ROM stipulated as it has worked everytime for me.

My phone was updated to Android 9.0 whereas the Android version in ubports mentioned against my phone is 8.1.0. Will I need to downgrade first or can I still go ahead and install UB Touch?

We can try, it won't hurt.
But first I need to understand how to create this oauth server before reaching out to Tesla to request the API key.
But learning takes time and it's not my top priority (but still something I try to improve when I can)

Yeah, I can use my Tesla with the key card I have, but I'd rather use my phone as the key, much more convenient, I'd be happy to try and help since I drive my Tesla everyday, and have several different devices (some UT, Some Android, some Windows)
